I have not used bluetooth for a long time on my vox for a long time after installing Dr.G Win Mo 6.1.1. When I checked recently I was only able to beam files but not able to receive. Both bluetooth is turned on and visibility is turned on but still the sender could only detect me but not able to send files.
Now I installed Rose V0.3 still no changes
Please Help

Hi all,
upgraded to WM 5.0 few days ago and everything works great.
I have one small issue, though: I cannot see my Default GPRS connection in the connection bubble; every time I want to connect I need to go to start->settings->connections->connections then tap'hold on my connection and (finally !) select connect.
Annoying.
With 2003/SE I had my connection directly in the "connection" bubble on the today screen, two taps and it was done :?
Am I missing some settings or is this a known issue ? Maybe somebody can suggest some registry hack to do that ?
Thanks
Probably you aren't missing anything. This is a shortcoming in WM5. I have the JJ and even in this unit when you tap the bubble it does not show the default gprs connection link. It only shows Settings.
You are right it calls for unnecessary navigation. I hope they fix it in some future version upgrade
In continuation to my above post there is tip. If you have spb gprs monitor installed it provides as a today plug-in an icon which directly connects to the default data connection (gprs or csd whatever is in default)

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that.
I am hoping someone can help me through this Smile
I have both TomTom and iguidance on my PPC and both are doing the same thing.
Here are my steps
1) Pair up the device properly, and set an outgoing port to COM8
2) GPS in Control pannel, program set to none, hardware com8, 4800, last page, manage automatically unchecked
3) run program and configure, works fine
4) turn off BT gps, turn back on, run program
5) MS BT application pops up saying my BT GPS receiver wants to connect, should I add it to the list, if I say yes and put in the pass key, nothing will happen, and if I go back into my BT manager, the GPS is gone.
Please help!
anyone can help me?
i have the problem, that if i turn wlan on, it turns off automatically within 5 seconds....
maybe it's a timeout where if you don't connect to a network it turns off the wifi in order to save battery life? if so, probably a registry value to be tweaked somewhere. otherwise, maybe a more serious problem.
Is it when you are connected to your comp with active sync?
theres a setting that disables data connections when connected
in WinMoDevCentre go to Mobile Device settings -> Connection Settings -> Allow Data connections (last checkbox)
weird setting but that fixed it fine for me
Just upgraded to o2 wm6.1. Previously on wm 6 if I started the wifi it would connect automatically, but now I have to go into the connections setting and select it manually. Any advise greatly received !
Hi All,
I flashed MSD Clean [Old GUI] Win Mobile 6.5 ROM which is available in the below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564002
But now i cannot receive files though bluetooth, i can send file.
I was using windows mobile 6.1 and bluetooth was working gr8...
I searched a lot but no luck; I did all the below steps:
1. Check beam is ON and Receive Incoming connection is checked
2. Installed Adv Config tool and enabled OBEX
3. Checked Obex Inbox, and changed the path to different folders.
4. Enabled Obex in registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex
5. Enabled ftp explorer in bluetooth settings.
6. Tried pairing the other phone but while connecting it says "Cannot connect, passcode failed"
But i am able to send files, also connect to active sync through bluetooth. I have heard that cooked ROMs have such issues, is there a patch or config to get it working.
Please hel
