copy unknown number from "phone"?? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello
First of all i don't know where to put this question.
here or Rom development??
I would like to to be able to copy the phone number from an unknown person that has just called me and paste it to an application i use (agenda one from developer one).
Is there any way to do it already?
If there isn't, is it posible to add this feature someone to an updated ROM ??
Now from "phone" app i hit menu-save to contacts-new contact- copy the phone number-menu -cancel. and then i can paste this number to agenda one
I really need a way to copy the number from "phone".
thanks in advance.

Noone knows anything?
thnx

The programs structure is built by the initflashfiles.dat. You might check there for that folder. Open it with notepad and remember to just click "save" not "save as". And then open it with winhex or any other hex editor and remove the first 2bytes "FFFE"
The "About" version you could change in the default.hv, but convert it to default.rgu before that and don't forget to add "REGEDIT4" without quotes in the first line and leave the last line empty. Then convert it back to .hv
didn't I answer that for you on aim?
it was after i posted it...
you're welcome anyway...

How to extract files from ROM

OK so that's the question...
I have an Omnia and it's branded by operator... I was told by a portuguese user (like me) that flashed his device and said that the XCHG5 is unbranded
The ROM is linked is in .nbo and .img format and is linked at Modaco.
All I really want to do is extract the launcher.exe, launcher.exe.0816.mui, launcher.exe.t1.skin (which my network provider so generouly altered and crippled) and the poweron/poweroff images and sounds... Though I'm not sure if some changes were made at registry (I have this one icon in the Launcher user defined shortcuts for MeoMobile that I realy want to remove but can't the way I add/remove other apps to it...)
Can anyone tell me which tool to use and how to use it?
And before anyone suggests it I do not want to flash my device.
Feedback appreciated
Bump...
It's been a week... Doesn't anyone know of an answer to this?
Sorry if this seems shameless but if I get it right my thread has only one week left and then will be deleted... And this thread was burryed under more recent ones.
I need to extract some files from different ROMs too, please help

[ADB Setup Shortcut/Send to] Motorola Backflip

Hi, if you use the ADB Setup that Moosefist posted you can use this method to shortcut the way you copy apks to your backflip. My method just uses a shortcut that you modify and put in the SendTo folder. Once you do that you can just right click on the file you want to upload and select Send to > Android.
Here are the instructions.
To make things easier you can just create a "Send to Android" option that you can right click on the file you want to send.
First create a shortcut for adb.exe then edit it and add install right after the file name. Rename the shortcut to something like Android or Backflip.
You can find a ss here http : / /cyberpods.net /android /shortcut.png
Then copy the shortcut to the "send to" folder. In windows 7 its in
C:\Users\%userdir%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
another easy easy way to find the sendto folder is to type shell:sendto at the windows 7/vista run prompt.
once you have the new shortcut in the sendto folder you should be able to just rightclick >sendto > android to copy the .apk file to your backflip
I hope this helps some of you.. It sure made my life easier
Have not had a chance to try this yet, but great post, thank you
Backflip DEAD. HELP
Can somebody help me.
I accidentally flashed a wrong ROM for my Motorola backflip.
The Rom was supposed to be flashed in a AT&T backflip.
And now, I can't turn on my phone, even the white motorola screen was not available. But the three buttons below was able to produce vibration when pressed but no light.
What can I do?
A friend of mine told me that I can use adb to fix it, but I don't know.
contact me please

Find cached files?

Hey
So i just got the Blizzard Authenticator from the Android Market, i know it's storing an xml file that has a token and some other information, i was wondering if there is any way i can find out where that file might be?
I want to find the file, because in that way i can sync the key between my computer and phone
Cheers
-Jazerix
It would most likely be in /data/data/package name/shared_prefs, where package name is the name of the apk (probably something like com.blizzard.authenticator).
Thanks for your reply, but when i check out the data folder, it's completetly empty
Is there any other way i can trace the file path?
P.S. i'm using a Nexus S with CyanogenMod
Edit: I'm able to find something on the SD Card (/sdcard/Android/data), but there is no file regarding the mobile authenticator
Ok, so i just bought Root Explorer, and the folder is no longer empty cheers, found the files ^^

[Q] can i update a file via email

Hi, I’m looking for a way to update a file (override it if need be) on the SD Card from an email attachment with one click, sort of like a Batch file in windows.
We have 50 tablets at work and every now and then we need to update a price list file. Most of the users are not Too bright and cant copy from the attachment and then navigate to the correct folder and then paste the file in. I would like to know if there is any way to automate this like a batch file in windows, is it even possible.
All tablets are using 4.2.1 and are Asus TF300T and NOT Rooted. I usually email the updated file then have to spend 15 min with EACH person holding their hand to update it. Any help or direction to a thread with something similar would be very appreciative
Nobody ever had the need to do this ??
Ok if this is not the correct spot to post this question, then where should i ?
