How do i change the screen tap click sound in windows mobile?
I have looked for the audio file for that sound( the WAV file or whatever they are using) but i cant find it. I would like to change it to something of my own. The default sound is annoying and load (even if you choose the soft click under notification)
Thanks!
Anyone please can figure this out ?

All of a sudden none of my .mp3 ringtones will not work on my phone. When I set an .mp3 and test it nothing happens or if the phone rings nothing happens. Then when I exit out of the ringtone application I can see it change back to a .wma. All other ringtone formats work.
I tried changing the registry key Hkey_Current _user Control Panel Sounds Ringtone(0) but it changes back to the .wma ringtone? Any suggestions?

Hi,
Did you install a third-party mediaplayer ? AFAIK WM only plays ringtones that are regged to WMP... and if you set another app to play MP3 by default, WMP doesn't know that filetype anymore.
Dirk
I never thought of that. I did load Win Vibe so I uninstalled it and rebooted the phone, however, I still have the same problem. Is there anything else that I need to change in the registry or elsewhere relating to that? Also, what does AFAIK stand for?
afaik = as far as i know
I recently got Camera Zoom FX on my phone and there is the option to take pictures with the Volume Key. The problem is when I press it, it makes the ding noise from when you lower or raise the Notification Volume. Is there a file to delete so I won't have the sound anymore. I have my HTC Sensation rooted.
all the ui audio files can be found in /system/media/audio/ui/
thanks i found it, but now when i try to edit it it says read only, u know how to bypass it?
NVM: i got it i just unmounted or mounted the r/w idk what it is and i changed the .mp3 to .mpee3

This is a tricky one
Yes, I also have this thing, but I can't say if it is a bug. A phone is supposed to play a ringtone repeatedly, right? I don't see an option to set my OPO to do so either.
I found out that it depends on the ringtone files. Some play repeatedly, some don't. You can test this just by selecting a ringtone in the ringtone setting and see if it plays once or repeatedly.
Workaround: I add the following metadata tag to my ringtone files and save them as Ogg Vorbis files.
ANDROID_LOOP = true
Note: There are some free apps that can do this on Windows/Mac.

Thanks man!
Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had managed to disable the blip sound when you adjust the volume. I can't find any option to do this nor can I locate the sound file it plays though most system sounds are in /system/media/audio/
