Tilt not working...sitting at Windows Mobile Screen

I did the Hard-SPL and followed the instructions to a T. The phone rebooted after the hards-spl and everything worked fine. I installed BlackBerry Connect to my device and it rebooted. Now it just sits at the windows mobile screen and won't proceed any farther. Anybody have an idea why? Or what I can do to get it working again? I did the HardSPL using windows XP and not vista.
When I enter the bootload this is what I get.

Go to the wiki and look up how to flash from a microSD card, then flash a clean copy of whatever rom you had put on there so you can get a fresh start. Unless something is physically broken with the phone, that will save it. Saved me plenty of times.

Just had to do a hard reset. Fixed the problem. Loaded new HTC ROM everything is up and running.

How did you do the hard reset? I can't even get it to work. (hold right & left soft keys and press/release reset until some screen I never get)

hold the left and right soft keys while pressing the reset button simutaneously for 5 seconds.

continue holding the left/right soft key after you put the stylus to reset, and the extra screen will show up.

can i hard reset by doing the clear storage thing?

no, u have to do the left & right soft keys and reset all at the same time for 5 secs. thats the only way i know of to do a hard reset.

i held the cam.+ power button and held the reset button and its doin the same thing it does when i soft reset it

all 3 actions must be at the same time and hold for 5 secs. if you get the short vibrate, just keep trying over and over. it wont hurt anything. at least it never did to mine.

Yep, you cannot install the BB connect software to the SD card & then reset. Your device will be looking for the BB connect software before the device SD card has booted & come online.
HOWEVER,
with SK Tools you can go into the startup folder & reorder the start up files. If you move BB Connect down to the end of the start up sequence it might work. Well, it did for me. Ylu have to go in after installing though, & before the reset & change the start up sequence down so that it's the last item to auto start.
You will have this type of problem with any program you install to the SD card where the program has a higher priority auto start because as I said before, you have an item trying to boot before it's operating files are available. Therefore, you stop the whole boot sequence because it can't move on to the next start up item without finding the start item it's looking for.
AS for the Hard reset. I find the easiest way to do this is:
1. Soft Reset.
2. while the device is soft resetting depress both soft keys.
3. When you get to the first boot screen depress the soft reset key & hold while simultaneously holding the soft keys.
4. follow the instructions on the screen, i.e. push send (green phone button) to restore, etc...
Works every time for me.

This is not random!
When I press:
RightSoft + LeftSoft it always works.
LeftSoft + RightSoft it never works.
Sequence is important. Not sure if it is left or right first though.
If other can confirm, could someone put it in the wiki, please. I've pulled a lot of hair over this topic.

that is to enter BootLoader NOT to start a Hard reset. when holding the power AND the camera button then resetting using the stlyus you should see the tri-color screen listing your SPL, Kaiser model, and one more thing i forget right now
EDIT - Make sure you are not pressing the ok button while going into BootLoader as the way the buttons are laied out its easy to press the ok by mistake.

Cannot hard reset

Help! I cannot hard reset after my touch screen stopped working. Have tried pressinn gps and internet buttons, then pressing reset and keeping hold of gps and internet but device just soft resets. Would leaving the battery out do the same thing?

Hello mate,
You say your screen isn't working but can you still use the keys and scroll wheel to navigate around the software?
If so, open the start menu and navigate to 'settings', 'system' and select 'clear storage'.
Make sure that you've removed your SD card before you do this.
It will perform a hard reset for you.

Yes you do have to enter 1234 so I am totally stuck and ready to try the big hammer reset.

Tried what you suggested but i got a message on the screen with a yes no box to install and couldn't get the button to operate using the wheel or any hardware key!
I've put my sim card in my magician and I think I may have to send the polaris back. Bet they'll say its my fault and will want paying to fix it.
I'm going to try leaving the battery out for a while to see if that will "force" a hard reset. I know I havent bashed it as it stopped working just after a phone call which is why I think hard resetting will sort it.
Tried your suggestion on my magician: nice bit of software!

The hard reset prompt is done by the bootloader, no installed software can affect it, simply because it isn't loaded yet.
Anyway, for the unlikely case of the digitizer hardware not being reset by bootloader, try removing the battery instead of pressing the reset button. Yes, thats right, remove the battery while the unit is operating, as rude as it sounds, and reinsert it while holding the GPS + Internet buttons.
It will, of course, prompt you to enter the 1234, but the touch screen should be initialized by the bootloader. If it still wont work - RMA the unit, your digitizer is faulty.

It still wouldnt hard reset so it probably is a hardware fault. looks like its going back.

Sent it back to HTC in Milton Keynes where thet diagnosed a duff touchscreen and replaced it under warranty. The service was very fast and hassle free. Well done HTC!
First thing I did after sprite restore (they reload with a fresh ROM) was to install my mobiler as suggested above. No worries if the screen doesn't work now.

Touch Pro will not Hard reset!

I started haveing issue with the device last night, the phone app was locking the phone up, i tried restoring from my sprite, but it didnt work.
I got it to a point where it workied, but for some reason it lost all my contacts and email settings.
Well I said screw it, ill just hard reset and start from scratch, after a soft reset, it hung on the "Touch Pro" screen withthe red text at the bottom, then just sits there.
If I hard boot it does the same thing.
any ideas?

go into bootloader and then flash a new ROM there.
Hold Volume down and reset. You will go to bootloader. Plug in USB and flash from there. No need to sd flash.

it will not go past the touch pro screen, still sitting like that now. I cannot even turn it off, just reset it and get back to the same spot.

did you take out the battery for a time? but you do that on your own risk... for me that doesnt sound good ...

Yep, the best I have been able to get is plugging the phone in and getting it to constantly reset itself.

best is to begin new, but for me that would take 1,5 days cause i know nothinh about UC; thats why i restore my spb backup... with differen Romeos version i had never problems ... take the rom upgrade mode...

I finally got to the hard reset warning screen. It says press "send" to reset. Everywhere else (including manual) it says to press "volume up". Anway, I pressed and released "send" but nothing happens. It seems frozen on teh warning screen. Or does it take a few minutes to hard reset.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Did you tried the method with settings => system => "Speicher löschen" ( in german; "eraze memory" or something like that in english) => input 1234??

i had to hard reset my htc touch pro as well because i unistalled a program and it wiped out like half the stock programs. this is what i did....
1). make sure you back everything up that you have on your phone.
2). shut off your phone
3). hold the volume down button and the enter button at the same time. (enter button is the big cirle center button)
4). while holding those two buttons in, press and hold the power button on the top until the popup appears on the screen. then just follow the steps and your phone should be like brand new again!!

Funny thing I did it the first time and it worked like a charm. But now i'm having trouble in doing it again?? any suggestions?? anyone???

Tmobile Wing Won't turn on after Rom update attempt. No reset workers. Can't charge can't do anything, its just dead. I really don't want to wait until the wing 2 comes out, is there anything i am doing wrong?? I guess i should add that i used hypercore

It turns out that i think something when wrong( i don't see why?) but i put it into bootloader thing(camera + reset)

Wrong Section to post in. Also your phone is probably bricked.

Go to the xda wiki and search for Goldcard. Even if it's for the elf, it was copied from the Herald. I haven't tried it myself, though.

just hold down the camera button and press the reset button on the side
then connect usb cable
then download the official stock t-mobile rom (google it)
and it should work again

turn on in bootloader mode
(camera+reset button on side below the volume)
then download the official stock rom and run it and you should have ur old rom back
just search on google for t-mobile stock rom

I was installing the customized ROM from thewingster (WM6.5) on my Wing. I did not include MS voice recognition, and I think I included all the other software. The progress bar was humming along on my wing, then the flash program said that the file was corrupt, and my phone went blank.
Now I cant turn it on, it wont light up at all when I plug in a charger or a computer USB (activesync wont notice anything is attached to the computer, and wont turn on at all). I tried a charged up battery from another wing, nothing changed...
I tried hard resets with the soft keys and reset button, and camera and reset button. Cant access it through my computer using any program (herald-uspl or activsync)
I have nothing at all.
Any ideas other than throwing it off a bridge?

You tried pressing the camera button ONLY while pressing the power button? (or the soft reset button.) The ROMs don't stop the phone from turning on unless the installation was botched.

Yes my install was botched. Computer went into standby mode during flash. Phone was still on (just in the bootloader mode? with 3 colors on the screen). From there I figured I could just re-install the ROM, so I tried. Then the progress bar appeared on my phone and I figured it was all gravy. Then the ROM flasher program on my computer said the file is corrupt and the phone went black.
Now its totally dead wont respond to any combination of button pushes or battery replacements....
Anyone had this problem before?

What does this have to do with Rom development?

If it won't turn on by holding the camera button and then pressing the power button nor the reset button, then it might be gone. Sorry. Although, I've always seen it be recoverable.

Does anybody know what caused this? Although I install various software on an regular basis I'f never flashed the standard ROM.
Can you please tell me how to perform a hard-reset if software doesn't allow me to?

However before you do that, you could try disabling sense + soft reset + enabling sense -> this helped me few times when my sense wouldn't start.
The question is can you get to Start Menu / Settings? or - if not - does your ActiveSync work?

Tnx guys but no luck, when phone is off and I hold the volume buttons then briefly tap power button the damn thing turns on...the the whole crap starts all over again...nothing works except sending and recieving calls...

ok, before you attempt to loose all your data, try copying unpacking the attached file to your Windows folder - it can be done with ActiveSync,
if I did not screw up, once the file is copied there, long-press of phone button should bring the today settings, where you can try to disable sense, and see what happens then...

WTF... Same here... Turning the phone on this afternoon, suddenly Sense does not want to start anymore... No mather how many times I try!!!
Update: at least the "Hard Reset" worked. So back to basic and Sense worked again. :-( Now updating the phone again... Sigh...

Agree 100%. I backup regularly but now I cant even hard-reset so that's not my problem.
Until now a hard reset always worked. Putting your (p107r0) file in the windows folder at least gave me the uportunity to disable sense and grand me access to the settings. But the touch screen seems to suffer from this virus too...when I try to purge my stored info (entering 1234) the keyboard shows what key I press but the number doesnt appear in the textbar...
Even trying to install a cab doesnt work. I can find everything on the phone but tapping does nothing...
I'm very close to flushing the phone down the toilet or something...

I feel your pain (1 month with overheating mainboard), but don't flush it yet
