Hi,
Years ago I had a C500... for a while there was a piece of software that would change the flashing green signal light to orange with an increased frequency to alert me that I had a message/missed call.
I've had other phones since then, but I've decided to go back to a C600. So if anyone can point me in the direction of a piece of software that does the above I'd be greatly appreciative.
Cheers,
M

So after updating to a couple WM6 ROMS and being happy, my phone starts to act weird, my screen starts to turn white at random times and i have to keep the keyboard slid out slightly to keep the screen from going white. Then after a while it changes again, and now my screen always goes white until i slide the keyboard in and out a couple of times and then slide it back in, but it will only stay normal for a little and my screen will go white again. In hopes to fix this i switched back to my official T-Mobile 2.26 ROM but i am still having the same problem. Can someone please help me fix this, my phone is almost at the brink of not working and i would have to wait about half a year before i can get a new one. Any help will be appreciated.
are you overclocking at all when you are experiencing the problem???
I have heard that overclocking to too high of a speed will cause the phone to go to a white screen..
just a thought
also, if you could, please list all third party apps and the current ROM you are running
.:Nstefanelli:.
Well i was overclocking to 260 using battery status, but i dont do that anymore,i am currently running the T-Mobile 2.26 official ROM, and i have these programs installed:
Wm5torage
Fizz Weather 2
TCPMP 0.81
Pocketdict
If you need some more info you can look at my signature too.

how do u do that ?
killerkhatiby009, you can check if it is a hardware problem by performing a remote control (PC controlling PPC, google for it) and start messing with your phone, see if the PC gives you the same problem.
IF the PC gives a good reading (e.g. no white screen) while the PPC gives you a white face, then it is probably the screen problem (not sure what).
IF both the PC and PPC gives you the white face, it is then either software error (hopefully so), OR internal harware error (e.g you've burned your microprocessor?).
Ok thanks for the help, ill go and try that ppc remote controll thing and report back.
Ok after testing it the PC comes up fine while the Pocket PC comes up white.

Sounds like a hardware problem to me, which may be a result of your constant overclocking. It may also be due to a bad switch in the keyboard slider.
You might want to contact your provider and see if the phone is still under warranty and/or if you can get a replacement.
Well my phone is no longer under warrenty, does anyone know of a way to fix my phone or get a replacement?
Hi,
Can someone tell me how to upgrade my IPL please ?
found my answer. Thanks anyway
I have the EXACT same problem
Ignore my signature - I downgraded back to the latest stock T-Mobile ROM. I see the same problem no matter what ROM I am running.
It is EXACTLY the same as you describe here. I can usually make it stop by pressing the sides together (holding the screen and keyboard slider tighly closed). Once it stops if I set it down and don't touch it it will work fine.
Also when I reboot the splash screen never has the problem - the problem starts as soon as WM boots.
So what did you have to do? Buy a new one? Or were you able to get service or an exchange?
It seems to be the mechanics of the display connector that are causing this. I looked in the service manual and it shows a stiff flat flex-cable connecting the keyboard to the screen, and it seems to me that this cable is the problem - either it is damaged or it is not fully seated on one end or the other.
I considered trying to dissassemble it and clean/reset connecters - for about a nanosecond. But it looks way too fragile and full of hidden little plastic hooks that will break off if you don't release each one in exactly the right way and then it will never go back together again.
Hi
The light of my imate jamin is continuously on. Normally, this light blinks only when blue tooth is on but now it is no more blue it is yellow just like the one above it. Now out of two lights, one is continuously on and one blinks at intervals. I have refreshed my phone twice but to no use (and suffered the loss of all my contacts etc!). The blue tooth light is still on.
There's one more problem: the programmes which I installed on my phone and removed are still in the list of installed programmes. I have removed them through 'add and remove' built-in programme and then I deleted them from the storage card as well but they are still there in the list. Please help.
regards,
Shahzad Ahmad
I would backup data and hardreset
It sounds like to me ur still on wm5 yes? This was a problem with winmo 5 in that apps did not always properly uninstall properly lol.
Have you thought about flashing to latest 6.1? Vincents roms are awesome and you will not believe the speed on your jamin compared to wm5!!!
It may also sort out you other issues.......
So was wondering 1) what that light was called on the left side of the ear piece that lights up orange when charging, green when charged, and flashes green when you have a notification and 2) if there are any hacks to make it do different things...?
I tried searching for serivce light and notification light, but didnt come up with anything.
TIA
It would be called a power led or status led. You can change the notification settings but I don't know of anything else.
I was wondering the same thing. I am going to try nueled that used on my tilt a long time ago.
http://freewareppc.com/utilities/nueled.shtml
we'll see what happens.
I think it will work as that hack is supposed to work with any htc phone that uses AllLEDManager to control LEDs and our rhodiums do in fact use allLedManager. Im gonna give it a try as well. See what happens.
K it works... Unfortuneately, our LED on the phone near the ear piece is only green or orange from what I can see. For example, we dont have a bluetooth light that lights up when connected to bluetooth.
What I've been scouring XDA and the rest of the web for is how to turn the Wireless Network Status function of that LED on... I've searched & posted here and a couple of other forums with no luck. Really, that's the only thing I miss that my hTC Kaiser and most of my previous other devices had... ?
I hate having to wake my device up just to see if it (a) is even on (device is totally dark in standby), and (b) am I still in range for a signal *blinking green or solid red/orange*.
I've even gone through the registries of both my Rhodium and my Kaiser to see if there are any differences between the LED entries I could find... if anything, the Rhodium has a few entries in it that the Kaiser doesn't. *heh*
I have a TP2 with Verizon's 6.5 upgrade... nueLED didn't do squat for me... Anyone have any tips?

Disregard...nueLED doesn't work, but I figured how to change the settings in the registry.
Hi there,
im looking for a solution to use the LED of my Palm Treo 500v as an alert for notifications, like you have it on BBs as well.
It has a red and a green state. Red blinking is reserved I think when there is no connection, but green blinking f.e. could indicate any kind of missed calls or messages as its not used in any other way.
I looked around but could not find any kind of working solutions.
Is here anyone having a working solution on this or is able to build one?
Cheers

Hi all
Recently started having this issue with my screen - haven't dropped it or anything either. On lighter colored backgrounds there are faint to pretty moderate horizontal lines flickering on the screen. The lines aren't colored or in one specific spot on the screen. It's hard to explain but it is similar to older projection tvs where there are those faint lines(static like) in the background.
I took a screenshot but it doesn't show the lines. I had been using Android Revolution HD 6.1 (great rom btw!!) and I've tried other roms since this began happening (thinking it was the rom) but to no avail. I'm currently running CM7.1.
Things I've tried:
changing roms
turning screen brightness up
turning on automatic brightness
turning down/off various animation settings
turning on light sensor filter in cm7 settings (helps a little)
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading!
I would try unrooting, installing ruu from HTC website and see if problem is still there. If it is then you will be back to stock and can claim your warranty. If problem is gone then just reroot. This is a problem I have not read anywhere though so it is probably a hardware malfunction and would need to be warrantied.
Not a bad idea! I'll give it a shot and share the results once complete.
Installed stock RUU - screen lines still present so probably a screen hardware issue. Going to take it into the store tomorrow and see what they can do
