[REQ] Headset button in Phone application - Touch Pro, Fuze General

On a Fuze, when you're on a call, you can hit the Speaker button to turn on the speakerphone feature. And you can turn it off by hitting the button again. That works great.
Now, pair a Bluetooth headset.
Switching from headset to speaker phone takes many steps: Menu>Headset Off. Hit Speaker phone on button.
Does anyone know of a way to switch the headset on/off like speaker phone? In an ideal world, I'd replace the Video Sharing button with a headset button.
I've hunted around but not found anything remotely similar to this, but I can't be the only one with a problem.
Any suggestions?

Really? Nobody else gets annoyed switching from Speaker to Headset?
Bump. Bump.

XDa2i volume

All
can any one tell me how to increase the volume of the XDa 2i unit. I know about the slider, but I need to make it louder especially when I use the conference call facility. I use this frequently in the car and could do with making it louder.
Any thoughts ideas welcome.
Thanks
Pete
Once connected hold down the green send button. This enables speaker phone.

earphone button= voice command

When I hit my earphone button, nothing happens...I would love it if it would activate voice command....any suggestions?
Thanks!

Ciao
tHANKS FOR ANWSERING.
I have tried it with to roms: Rajus 7.4
and now with psidoc wm5 matrik edition...same thing in both!
Help..please!
Mapping the Headset button,
Actually, thats a good point, but i dont think it is going to be that easy. During a call, the headset button puts the call on hold, and is equivalent to the green button on the phone. As far as i remember there was a thread somewhere a year or so back, and no-one managed to get the button to launch VC. However... that was before WM6
In the meantime, i can only suggest mapping the backlight button to VC.. Thats how i do it!
for me, I just simply press the headset button, and it activates VC immediately. I'm using the Beasty ROM, and a Pantronics headset
Well I changed to the beasty rom, and you are right..it works!
Execept- The button still dosent activate VC, I use the "light" button as someone mention before (thanks), but now my earphone mic does listen to it.
So any clue as how to get the button on the mic to work?
Ideally it would work like this.
Press to answer phone
Press and hold to activate VC
I ride my bike everywhere and that is why this would be IDEAL
THANKS!
Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to map it like that, the headset button only recognizes press(or in my case, press and hold to avoid mis-clicks). I did it by mapping the button formerly titled "Record"(the one right next to the camera) to VC, and now it works like a charm. Maybe you should try that too!
That's odd - I've always had the ability to use the button on the headset to either launch VC, or answer/end a call without having to do anything special at all.
Maybe it's something to do with the headset you are using? I've got a few, and a Parrot car kit, and they all work in this way.
Cheers,
Steve.
Bluetooth & Wired differences!
Lets tidy this up. I believe that we are crossing lines a bit....
The BLUETOOTH headset button often activates VC... thats not primarily the problem. I believe the problem is the wired headset... that one is the one a lot of people use, and i havnt found a way to make that launch the listening feature of VC as yet.

oh, that.
It won't work, I'm afraid. That button only acts as an answer/disconnect button, no special functions, and it can't be mapped to anything...
Thanks for answering...so the question...or solution is.....
Whar are the best bt STERIO earphones the except VC buttom mapping?
Million dollar question...
Try googling around!
I can't recommend STEREO BT headsets, I haven't seen any so far, even though I know they exist. Right now, I'm using a Plantronics headset, which is very comfortable, but the transmission power is a bit low, meaning I get some static even with the phone in my pocket, and the headset in my ear...
Been googling..so far NOTHING!
how about this string: bluetooth headset stereo review ?

[Q] Bluetooth pause/play

I have searched long and hard for this but cannot come up with simple solution. I have a motorola boom bluetooth headset. It has just one button on it, coupled with two volume buttons. ALL I want to do is be able to replicate the exact functionality that my wired headset has where it pauses/resumes the most recent audio stream when i hit the play button.
What is the best way of doing this?
Thanks.

Mute and the samsung dialer

Hey there, I'm coming from a Nexus 5 and I seem to be having some trouble with the Samsung Dailer. Basically, when I use my headset, and press the "mute" button it hangs up my calls. When using my Nexus 5, the same mute button on the same headset, mutes my voice.
I poked around in the Samsung dialer's setting and didn't see an option to set the button press to mute. Anyone else experience this problem? Thanks.

Headset volume controls

The volume controls from my headset does not seem to be controlling my Pixel properly. Volume up calls up the Google Assistant. The call/hangup button and volume down button work as before. Anyone else have this issue? I tried the support chat but they're not aware of this issue and is escalating it. I appreciate any help you guys can provide here.
I had this issue with my Nexus 6P paired with my Beats wired noise cancelling headphones. I bought some bluetooth wireless headphones and this solved the problem for me.

That gets around the problem but doesn't solve it. Anyone else have this issue or are your wired headset controls working properly?
bump
Figured it out. Just had to keep pressing the volume up button. First press will start the Google Assistant. Subsequent presses will turn up the volume.
It's likely an issue with that particular headset's wiring. Of the 3 Android-compatible wired headsets I tested, all of them use the hangup/play/pause button to initiate Google Assistant. There's a thread in the accessories sub forum that's all about wired headset compatibility.
