Ok I use Diamond Touch Flo 3d config. and i went to remove some tabs and when it said "Reboot required do you want to reboot now?" I clicked no and i did some other stuff that required a soft reset and performed a soft reset about 5 minutes later. and when the device came back up all of the tabs were there so i just thought it didnt take but when i went back into Touch Flo 3d config. it show those tabs unchecked but there was also a copy of these tabs checked so i was wondering if anyone knows how to correct this ive tried uninstalling the config but still there also does anyone know how to uninstall/reinstall touchflo 3d that may be a fix.

Just got a T-Mobile MDA compact. I have installed the extra applications (FAX, GPS, etc) from the CD ROM supplied with the MDA.
After the installation the PC tells you to do a soft reset on the MDA.
I then did the soft reset and once the MDA restarted the screen was all messed up. I had to do a hard reset to resolve.
Is this a common problem - is there a fix to it? I would like to know as otherwise i am going to be very reluctant to upload any other software incase this happens again.
Messed up in what way?
If it's the Today screen that's messed up, and looks like it's one screen half drawn over another screen, this is the issue when you sometimes install things in the Ext_ROM.
The fix is simple, just click Start>Settings>Today and then just tick "Use this picture as Background" and click OK, your today screen should be fixed.
I have to do this after I install Ext_ROM programs, but just do it once and the phone's fine until I install another thing.
thanks - worked a treat
Hi,
I am using a HTC Touch P3450
I did a few soft resets to set up an other application, and once i was finished batterystatus no longer apeared - no indicator, menu or today screen mention
So i went and got the new homescreen and when i go to install either on storage card or device i get intallation was unsuccessful. i did a soft reset, removed what batterystatus files i could find and tried again.
No luck so i have done a hard reset and it still does not work
help would be greatly appreciated, either a work around (tried unselecting today plugins) or if anyone has an old version of classic batterystatus lying around or in the worse case a program that does the same (i want it for cpu idle and overclocking under load when needed)
Thanks,
1. Today I've installed FuzeBerry II Rhodium Edition v03.28.09. After restar everything was almost ok. Probably because of some other reason I had to restart the device and after that i saw... old orginal touchflo 3d?! After next restart I see "Tap the screen to set up your Windows Mobile-based device."
It's big problem for me now... I haven't done my files copy today
Is there any way to do something without hard reset?
2. If it would be necessary to hard reset I will install also a new rom... How can I dump the standard ROM - i want have a possibility to come back to it -warranty.
I go into Settings\Today and I check the TouchFlo 3D option as it is currently set to Default. In the main menu it says touch here to install TouchFlo 3D. I do and nothing happens it just sits there on the same screen on a loop. How do I enable it, I got my phone unlocked from ebay so someone already pre loaded apps and stuff I didnt configure it. I have Windows 6.5 installed so I dont know if its possible to install or if Ive missed anything.
I just got a Touch Pro 2 and I was in middle of installing SPB mobile shell from a faulty SD card and the installation failed half way.
SPB shell disables touchflo so even though the program did not fully install, it removed the touchflo interface.
I ran windows\manila.exe and was able to get touch flo back that way, but when I restart the phone it does not start up automatically. I copied manila.exe to the startup folder and this didn't work. How I can I get it back to automatic start up?
Welcome to forums
A hard reset is the best option to get all working again, some files are messed up by now.
Next time, before install any today plugins, or any program that bring together with a today plugin, like Windows live etc., disable touchflo from today settings first, it is located in the items tab of today settings, then it will not happen again.

Click to collapse
Have you tried to install spb again? Installing it would at least give you a working prgramme?
If not, then you could remove all folders and reg entries created by spb, but this could get messy if you are not confident in playing with reg?
Yeah a hard reset is a lot of hassle, I can get touchflo fully working by running manila.exe... Shouldn't be too difficult to get it to start up automatically.
How can I add it as a startup entry? Shortcut in the startup folder didnt work...
