Need Help with an Upgrade! Please

First let me say I am sorry for the multiple posts. This same message is on the general Magician forum. I think I shoul dhave placed the message here.

I bought my Magician on eBay and it is the best phone I have ever had. The phone is amazing. But of course 2 months have passed and I am dying to improve the phone. The Brand is a DOPOD 818, which is the HTC Magician or iMate JAM.
I see everyone here has the ROM 1.06, mine is 1.01.00WWE with a ROM Date of 10/21/04/ I am sure I should be upgrading my ROM for the enhancements but I am not sure how or where to go.
Everyone says to go to Club iMate but unfortunately my IMEI is registered through DOPOD and not iMate. The DOPOD site does not look like it has an updated ROM.
Can I use a generic ROM? Where can I get one? I am in the USA using T-Mobile, if that helps.
Please let me know what I should do.

you will need to do a lot of readings before upgrading... and if your device doesn't have any problems then don't upgrade... the latest version from imate is really bad.. i have tried it and went back the old one which 1.03.00 ... anyways go to this ftp ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/
and you will all the latest ROMs....

my dopod 818pro with a lot of wm6 i thinks it looks very nice n very comfortable to use
but once this time i only want to bring memory back does anybody know where i can get dopod 818pro latest official wm5.

SIMPLE
Update using an extended rom use pda mobiz step 2 update rom
Second do a hard spl
Third install a new rom
Forth instal the 2.19 radio Rom is the most stable one so far.

upgrade to WM6

Hi everybody, i have HTC prophet (Orange M600), turning with WM5. Can some one help me and telle me how to upgrade into WinCe 06, French edition? Thanks again.

Simple first download one of these roms: gollum tf2dopera, manila, diamond rom, pdaviet. Then do hard spl on the device, after doing this, run the update utility g3 or g4, first find what type is your device, after the process is complete 100% if all goes well the device will reeboot, (it maybe take more than 1 minute), and the new operating system will start to run, any questions feel free to do so.

Hi, I have Qtek S200 with WM5 and would like to upgrade to WM6. How can I do this, please? Is there any topic that explains everything, as I don't understand anything about this! Thanks!

[REF]Found original shipped spanish ROM

I have an Elf which original shipped spanish ROM was running on.
I've applied the ELF USPL and flashed the dumped italian ROM, now my Elf stucks in "smart mobility" then goes to sleep
I've tried all the suggestions found on the wiki, none of them worked, so I suppose I have to flash the original ROM, please somebody provide a link, thanx
