[ROM][WWE]Touch Rom NEW Builld 18125.0.4.2 BigStorage, 4MB PP [ONLINE]

I just made a new customized rom for my HTC Touch and wanna share my work with xda-developer's fans. I ported this rom from Hermes new build 18125 and use XIP from PDAVIET's rom (v1.15.707.03).
what I did to this rom...
1. CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2) with BigStorage & 4mb Pagepool.
2. Removed HTC Ringtones, Pictures, Videos and Theme files to save storage space.
3. New HTC Touch Commanager with 10 buttons (Fixed and working)
4. MMS Composer NEW Version 4.2.8.1 (Seperated folder for SMS and MMS)
5. HTC Task Manager NEW Version 1.51 (Build 30470)
6. HTC Network Wizard NEW Version 1.0 (Build 29982.1.0.2.2)
7. Office 2007 (include OneNoteMobile)
8. Windows Media Player with HTC Touch Skin (can go back to original skin)
9. Accesiories folder (GSFinder, Hibernate, Pocket RAR, PPCPimBackup, psShutXP, RegEdit, SynchroTime, Task Manager, WM5Storage)
10. Black Keyboad Skin
11. Removed Windows Update

Where can I get this commanager?
once again, VERY VERY WELL DONE!

Just flashed this ROM and it looks great. One little problem i'm having is with the weather app though. When I click on it from the HTC Today screen I can choose my city, but then nothing happens. It displays my city, but doesn't update the weather. I have checked that all my connection settings are correct (which they are) not sure if I need to enable a setting or this is a problem on this ROM.
Other than that I do LOVE this ROM. Good work.
Edit: Nvm figured it out. Simply required a soft reset. Once again...good job.

Just to be 100% sure: how can you check if a device is CID unlocked? Simply by looking at the versionnumbers in the bootloader screen? If so, mine are:
IPL 1.13.0002
SPL 1.11.0000
Does this mean I am good to go flashing your rom?

strange, I'm getting only 8 tabs in comm manager instead of 10... no internet sharing/beam options... I'll reflash it to see if that fixes the problem...
EDIT: Nevermind, reflashing the ROM again fixed the problem. Thank you for this great ROM!

Ok I loaded it and it seems to run really well. I only display the usual 6 icons instead of the 10 icons his pics displayed. However I like all the extra features he built into this rom. Nice job. Would like to know how to get the 10 icon cube tho...any ideas?

Questions:
Is the opera mini that is included in the rom a "signed app" so that it does not prompt the user each time they want to access the net? Did you use the info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347689 to make OM the default browser? Do you have shortcuts that call OM directly? It's something like ' \windows\jbed.exe "_s0" ' and lastly...have you tested to see if the version of OM in the rom can be upgraded via cab by a newer (or older if newer is not available) version via cab without error?
Sorry for the grilling...good job on getting it included! Are you willing to distribute your oem package for other would be rom burners?

Thanks for the tip forgot to put those last night. No IPS/SPL /Splashes/ Radio, etc.... just the OS.

No, Opera in the Rom is not signed. I will post an update cab for that. Thanks for the info Yes, as u can see in the screenshots, Opera is opened directly. I've also put a nice icon for that shortcut
and, of cource, if you want any oem package, feel free to ask. It's a strong base so any preferences or changes to the rom for the next version are welcomed.

just installed your rom about 10 mins ago... Wifi IS working
and you forgot to inculde teh Caps/Dot Registry Tweak
lol No biggie... reg wizard fixed it... wow used reg wizard after so long
and when you open modaco nodata..... i get error msg saying
"an un expectped error has occured in nodata.exe"

LOL yes, forgot that ) i;; update that also in a cab.
Modaco Nodata gives you that eror because you haven't defined/configured any Connections in Settings - connections ( any modem connections to be precise )

Hello. is your phone CID Unlocked ? G3 ? etc ? if so, simply download the rar file from rapidshare and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and you are done

here is the changelog for wm5torage

Version 1.8
- added the long-awaited option to lock/dismount card only when USB cable is actually attached (so when you will disconnect the device, it will automatically see the card again, without the need to deactivate WM5torage).
- added the troubleshooting options for different firmwares/devices (should be tweaked only if WM5torage does not work properly)
- GUI is slightly modified according to Microsoft guidelines for better support of landscape and small-screen devices
As you can see this new version have a lot of new improvement and also in the previews beta version looks more stable to mount and unmount the cards.
About the compression:
You can talk with everyone here in forum, compress file, not ever is a good ideia.
So, if you have a LOT of free space i think more interest you include the not copressed files.
But this is a SUGESTION, a SUGESTION for you!!
you can do your testes and see what is more interest for your rom

you forgot to mention DIFFERENCES in load times of 2.9 mb app and while it is upxed to 0.9 mb
mem loss related to unpack operation is NOT PERNAMENT..so...

Hello Botto. Your right.. i could put the final version of wn5storage. Ill post it in the next version. and, actually that's the rom's name
Regarding Office compressed, seems to work just fine only exe's are compressed. if anyone reports problems, i'll release an uncompressed version. Cheers.

Intro:
Well this is the fourth release of SNN. This time around I will be creating two versions of this rom, LITE and FULL.
The first of the two will be the LITE version, it's basically a stripped down version of the stuff I normally include in my releases. The Lite version is more or less something similar to an offical release with only necessary apps included. It is by far the BEST for speed and stability out of my releases up to date.
The second release will be the FULL version, which will basically be everything that I have included in my previous releases. I will upgrade apps to the most recent release where applicable.
So as always, I would recommend giving my ROM a try and feedback is always appreciated.

Bugs/Fixes:
Removed WMP: I experienced intermitent problems with song playback( sometimes plays full song, other times it won't) so i just took it out Still haven't found the culprit of this issue but still working on it.
Remedy: You can use TCMP or Coreplayer as your video/music player, most of you already do anyways. These cabs are in post #3. Audio Manager is included to play all your music files.
SNN FULL VERSION 3.0:

This ROM has been flashed succesfully onto my CID & SIM locked G4 using SoftSPL.The nk.nbf file only contains OS and splash screens. No IPL/SPL. So it is G4 safe. Recommended cabs and fixes
Coreplayer: Substitue for Windows Media Player. It can be installed on storage card to save internal memory although installing to your device is best practice for stability.
WST Windows Service Tool: An all purpose app for the wizard. Can read and alter some device settings. Most useful for changing page pool to free up program memory space. INFO and DOWNLOAD here.
NOTE: Default pagepool of these ROMs are set at 8. I am personally running FULL version with pagepool set at 4 and have 30 MB free at first boot and about 28 MB free at normal operation.
TCMP The Core Media Player: Another media player. Can play video and music. Size is smaller than Coreplayer although layout is not as "flashy".
HTC Home Customizer: Best app for customizing the HTC Home Plug-in. There are multiple themes and icons to pick from to make your phone all your own. Download from HERE.

Intro:
Well this is the fourth release of SNN. This time around I will be creating two versions of this rom, LITE and FULL.
The first of the two will be the LITE version, it's basically a stripped down version of the stuff I normally include in my releases. The Lite version is more or less something similar to an offical release with only necessary apps included. It is by far the BEST for speed and stability out of my releases up to date.
The second release will be the FULL version, which will basically be everything that I have included in my previous releases. I will upgrade apps to the most recent release where applicable. I have not created this rom yet but will try my best to get it released ASAP.

This release is just the lite version, i have not released the full version of my rom on this build yet. So alot of the apps aren't included just yet. You could still stay with the 2.1 version of my rom. On the FULL release i am going to update all the apps that i have and make it as bug free as possible. I just wanted to release a lite version of my rom because some people pm'ed me requesting one. I know it was kinda quick but this is a much quicker/stable base for me to build upon.

This ROM is much faster than 2.0. I like the slimmed down version and have added some additional stuff I need. Very nice and fast! Great work!
The only thing I really missed was having the network wizard to configure Cingular settings...but just used the cab. I like this one better than the full feature 2.0 just due to the speed!

Well my understanding is that this build was a test rom is from AT&T. The rom itself was from the kaiser forum, Villaboy25 ported it for the wizard. Here is more info about the build. CLICK HERE

Thanks ip-rob, I will redo the lite version and include network wizard in it. The speed of the FULL version in 3.0 is much better as well. You should give it a try some time.

hey newbie, I havent tried this ROM yet... I am kind of attached to the 2.0 maybe because I put so much time and effort customizing it to the way I want, but one thing that I feel that you should have changed with this one was the CAPS and Secondary indicators, the last one didnt have any and I didnt know if I was in symbol mode or not.
and maybe an uninstall option for some things we think we might not want or need.

I'm afraid it can't be done, or not easily. It uses part of the new OS to work.

Shame about that - was the same issue in the previous 6.5 rom - really stops it being useable - the previous 6.5 rom was fast on my elf, and the stuff I use (opera mini, igo8, googlemaps, office) all worked fine, but not being able to change mail settings is a killer.
If anyone can find a workaround/solution (and don't say 'Install flexmail' - I hate it!) -then we can do some serious testing!

Hi, I use the Onyx 4.2 ROM, and I'll try this one.
The last 6.5 ROM I also tried it, and it was already a good useful ROM
I hope this one is also usable, the honeycomb looks very nice.

2. new menus and scrolls look good.

1. VERY unstable.
2. Shell keeps on crashing and thus the device reboots.
3. HoneyComb is SLOW. Older way of going through apps/settings was better.
4. Biotouch keeps on crashing.
5. Couldnt launch "My Phone".
6. Couldnt restore message back using PIMBackup. (maybe something wrong that I did)
In all, not recommended for anything other then Beta Testing. Normal use wont be goon with this rom.

Hi!
Don't care about the HSDPA program because it's not for our devices: The Elf(in) support only the EDGE connection and not HSDPA

Hi Le tama, thanks for your great job on this rom, it's the first one I test under wm 6.5 on my Elfin and for me, the rom is very stable but the only one issue i had is the scroll start and today menu speed: it's very very slow. but I haven't already tested all the applications, but i'm going to do this today.
