I just made a new customized rom for my HTC Touch and wanna share my work with xda-developer's fans. I ported this rom from Hermes new build 18125 and use XIP from PDAVIET's rom (v1.15.707.03).
what I did to this rom...
1. CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2) with BigStorage & 4mb Pagepool.
2. Removed HTC Ringtones, Pictures, Videos and Theme files to save storage space.
3. New HTC Touch Commanager with 10 buttons (Fixed and working)
4. MMS Composer NEW Version 4.2.8.1 (Seperated folder for SMS and MMS)
5. HTC Task Manager NEW Version 1.51 (Build 30470)
6. HTC Network Wizard NEW Version 1.0 (Build 29982.1.0.2.2)
7. Office 2007 (include OneNoteMobile)
8. Windows Media Player with HTC Touch Skin (can go back to original skin)
9. Accesiories folder (GSFinder, Hibernate, Pocket RAR, PPCPimBackup, psShutXP, RegEdit, SynchroTime, Task Manager, WM5Storage)
10. Black Keyboad Skin
11. Removed Windows Update

Where can I get this commanager?
once again, VERY VERY WELL DONE!

Just flashed this ROM and it looks great. One little problem i'm having is with the weather app though. When I click on it from the HTC Today screen I can choose my city, but then nothing happens. It displays my city, but doesn't update the weather. I have checked that all my connection settings are correct (which they are) not sure if I need to enable a setting or this is a problem on this ROM.
Other than that I do LOVE this ROM. Good work.
Edit: Nvm figured it out. Simply required a soft reset. Once again...good job.

Just to be 100% sure: how can you check if a device is CID unlocked? Simply by looking at the versionnumbers in the bootloader screen? If so, mine are:
IPL 1.13.0002
SPL 1.11.0000
Does this mean I am good to go flashing your rom?

strange, I'm getting only 8 tabs in comm manager instead of 10... no internet sharing/beam options... I'll reflash it to see if that fixes the problem...

Ok I loaded it and it seems to run really well. I only display the usual 6 icons instead of the 10 icons his pics displayed. However I like all the extra features he built into this rom. Nice job. Would like to know how to get the 10 icon cube tho...any ideas?

this is original rom for kaiser not port from other device,CHS,CHT and WWE
DFT always build org roms.
ita's and ger's langs files, i used 20270's, haven't found fra langs.

Can you share XIP / SYS of this build please ? I would like to cook it in french...

I installed this ROM for fun yesterday, it actually worked pretty well. Only problem was the dialer -- it wasn't a smart dialer, and the text on the buttons in the dialer was in another language I didn't understand. But it was smooth, fast, seemed to work fine.

very impressed
- really really dark. darker than any rom here
- light, u can really choose apps to install
- nice battery indicator, with % displayed above icon in top bar
- very nice dialer, diamond skin portrait + lanscape; chinese labels are actually fun, since u have intuitive icons on them anyway
- d3d drivers work ok
- all apps work ok (igo8, youtube, opera, total commander, dotfred taskmgr, easy sync pro etc.) except adv_config_3.0; u can use kaiser tweak instead
- as fast as any good 6.1 rom (i really don't buy things like "wow, this is blazing fast, faster than anything" - kaisers are still slow let's face it)
all in all i will keep it for now, i really like this a lot, congrats to the chef

I figured it was Chinese on the dialer. I like how the dialer looks, but I can't search my contacts by pressing number keys in the dialer - i.e. no smart dialer. Is there a registry key to activate it?

Yup. I gave the ROM a twirl and found it very fast and responsive. I'm looking forward to a minimalist build from one of our resident chefs off of this Kaiser native ROM.

what is the ddi.dll version?
does it have lndscape cleartype bug?
does it work with D3D?

Don't know about IPL/USPL 1.19. Just try and reflash another rom from tri-color screen when needed.

Thanx ayyu. My first rom after start reading last thursday. Tried several kitchens but I stick with core for now. The whole project was possible because of all the information here on xda and because of your excellent manual on installing en running the core kitchen. Still learning a lot of things but really happy the cooking base is here.

The whole idea is to create a lean and mean version for ELF users because of the small memory. Google Maps and Opera can be installed afterwards as seperate packages and can even be installed to SD card. I think it is a good idea to remove these from the rom because they both use a lot of memory.
I will provide all the packages as soon as Arwen lite goes online.

thats really good to hear bro. cos its great to know a chef is born under the picture tutorial. and the best advice i can give you is, once you are comfortable with hypercore...you should take your cooking to the next level. meaning a more advanced kitchen or kitchens.

and now a highlight on your roms. its working great on my friends elfin. i will look out for anything you can improve on this rom. as of now...all are working tip top.
and thats a good choice you made on keeping the lite version as lite as possible by cutting down on two major programs. opera and google maps.

you should create a thread for your ROM too. so that ELF(in) tester/user can participate according to the Chef's ROM.

I'm afraid it can't be done, or not easily. It uses part of the new OS to work.

Shame about that - was the same issue in the previous 6.5 rom - really stops it being useable - the previous 6.5 rom was fast on my elf, and the stuff I use (opera mini, igo8, googlemaps, office) all worked fine, but not being able to change mail settings is a killer.
If anyone can find a workaround/solution (and don't say 'Install flexmail' - I hate it!) -then we can do some serious testing!

Hi, I use the Onyx 4.2 ROM, and I'll try this one.
The last 6.5 ROM I also tried it, and it was already a good useful ROM
I hope this one is also usable, the honeycomb looks very nice.

1. MS finally copied slide to unlock!
2. new menus and scrolls look good.

1. VERY unstable.
2. Shell keeps on crashing and thus the device reboots.
3. HoneyComb is SLOW. Older way of going through apps/settings was better.
4. Biotouch keeps on crashing.
5. Couldnt launch "My Phone".
6. Couldnt restore message back using PIMBackup. (maybe something wrong that I did)
In all, not recommended for anything other then Beta Testing. Normal use wont be goon with this rom.

Hi!
Don't care about the HSDPA program because it's not for our devices: The Elf(in) support only the EDGE connection and not HSDPA

Hi Le tama, thanks for your great job on this rom, it's the first one I test under wm 6.5 on my Elfin and for me, the rom is very stable but the only one issue i had is the scroll start and today menu speed: it's very very slow. but I haven't already tested all the applications, but i'm going to do this today.

Made new animated bootscreen (took me 8 hours to extract edit and compress and actually make it work smooth on UNI). XIP was work entirely by sun_dream as he helped me in a lot of nk.exe tweaks. Devided all applications in groups and created folder icons for them. Predefined CHome Icons for Gmail and Yahoo mail accounts
So inside is:

Esmertec Jbed 20081203 (includes gmail and opera mini)

maybe your device is not SuperCID to get this error, anyway, the exe is self extracting RAR archive you can extract it to any folder and try to run the RUU from there

About RAM usage: after SR - ~14 mb free

installed and testing....
about 9-10mb aprox. of ram during a normal use without any program... but stable.
really stable in general...

welcome explode in uni world. your roms for BA were fantastic.

Well i havent abandoned BA, but now will make roms for both devices, and maybe for more devices in near future

My theory about UNI roms is when rom is made to work well on 64 mb UNi it will work perfect in 128 mb uni, when i get tired of BA i will use it to upgrade my uni, but in this moment i use my BA as primary phone and it works pretty well

just hoping that sun_dream will follow too . as a former BA user myself, I am sure it will be a great tandem, explode & sun_dream, for and to the delight of UNI users... regards to both of you guys, and many thanks for your ROMs btw

Why don't you cid unlock your device, then you can flash any rom you like without modifying it
Well sun_dream makes chinese roms mostly, but he helps me a lot with the rom work. Also he releases hes roms in hes blog.

experienced my first reboot after one day of testing but basically a good working ROM albeit quite slow for UNI 64.
