blueant v1 v5.0 bluetooth htc touch pro profiles - Touch Pro, Fuze General

ok so it seems that this headset has
General Specification: Headset Profile, Hands-Free profile
both. on the phone it show's quite a few more modes as well [LOTS of them hehe]
however i cannot get sprint tv to go through the headset in the hands free mode. how can i change to headset profile?
http://www.myblueant.com/v1_voice_control_specifications.htm
this is the headset
http://www.myblueant.com/manual_v1.htm
this is the manual
anyone have expierience with this? does it work with others [jawbone or say moto h710]?

bump! ;_; ....

The V1 isn't compatible with the Touch Pro. Believe it or not. There are issues between the two. BlueAnt are suppossedly working on a fix.
I had an issue where incoming calls couldn't be heard. But it may be an issue with the phone as now I am having that issue with my Jawbone2 as well.

I have the Blueant V1 with my Touch Pro and it seems very compatible but I also can't get Sprint TV to play through the V1. I would recommend you email Blueant as I'm sure they will find a fix for that or maybe the V1 was just not designed to be utilized as a music headset too. I also can't get music to play through the V1 but everything else works so very well. I love being able to take a call by just saying "answer" and knowing who is calling without looking at the phone. You can also say "Phone Commands" and it uses the Touch Pros voice commands. Works nice when you are in full camoflauge in a tree hunting for deer and have your phone tucked way inside your clothing so it doesn't get wet from rain or in my case Snow.

GuysI am thinking about ordering the blueant V1 and just wanted to see if everything is still working well for you guys. please update me

Anyone experience with the Parrot CK-3100 bluetooth carkit

Does anyone have experience with the Parrot CK-3100 bluetooth carkit ?
I was about to go for the new Sony Ericsson HCB-300 unit when I encountered the Parrot. Featurewise it looks like a great unit, but I am interested in anyones experience using this unit.
What is the sound quality ? Are all features (like caller id etc) usable with the MDA/XDAII ...
Thanks !
Taco
Hi there,
I have recently fitted the CK3100 & have to say its been really good. It integrates with the vehicle, just like any other professionally available car kit.
That's the good news - the bad news is the XDA II (in all its guises) - still the age old problem of the lack of car kit profile means that the functionality is limited.
Yes, it does pair with the CK3100. Yes it will send and receive calls. What it won't do is make any proper use of the LCD display, nor will it allow access to the address book on the PDA.
In short, it will interact in the same way as it would any BT headset - because that is what it thinks its talking to !
If I use the car and need my handsfree - I have to muse my old Nokia 6310i - which works perfectly - allowing full use of the LCD screen and 100% access to all the data on the phone.
You may wish to check out the other threads on this site regarding the known and ongooing problem with the BT stack on the XDA II.
It's really pathetic that my old nokia beats the more advanced XDA II hands down when it comes to BT integration.
best of luck
Redz
Redz,
Have you tried installing the Pocket Bluetooth tools (http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html) to create a carkit profile in the XDAII ?
I've ordered the Parrot and will receive it later this week.
A slight diversion
I hate hijacking but any of you guys know how to get the Motorola car kit to answere calls. O2 blame Pocket Windows 2003. MS blame Motorola. Making calls is fine but answereing is a no no so Ive to call callers back when on the road. Any ideas

Phone only, and just using a headset profile, without the option of adjusting the volume which results in (too) loud sound, causing echo.

Jabra BT-800 not working w Qtek 2020 WM2003SE

I bought the Jabra BT-800 headset for 119 EUR and was hoping to enjoy the headset w/o getting my PPC out of my pocketst.
Well that didnt work out. Pairing was easy, and after switching on the headset (in profile on today screen) I could call with it. The only thing is, I cannot get the call list on the headset to work. It doesnt show any numbers at all, and i wonder how its supposed to work anyway.
That being said, I also don't get to see who's calling me when using the headset.
1) Incoming call.... PPC rings..
2) After a few seconds the headset backlight switches on showing "Jabra BT-800" (standard text). I do not get to see who's calling me on my headset.
3) When listening to the ring tone on headset, after a second or two I get a really annoying sqreaking sound and that stays on till I accept the call or hang up.
So it is not working for me. Besides the headset does not stay on my ear correctly. I have small ears and it is really uncomfortable.
I have Qtek 2020 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE ROM (downloaded from this forum), ROM version 2.06.00WWE, Radio 1.18.00, Protocol 1337.38, ExtROM 2.06.100a
The Jabra BT-800 does not do what they say it's supposed to do.
Anyone else got these problems or solutions? Ciao
R.
me too
Same problem... They say it is also capable of BT voice dialing. I hate the way it takes so long to answer calls.
I am going to find out if the sony ericson ones work.. Then get that. The reception on the BT800 is great though.

Lucky you to get that far
After the upgrade to the Diamond 1.2 I have tried to bond my Bluespoon Digital. That was very easy and everything works fine, exept a call not is trasferred to the headset. I have tried both stacks, and I have tried it with the Sony Ericsson HBH 65. It simply doesn't work at all.
Does anybody have suggestions to what to do??
bluetooth headset not bonding
Hi , I had smae problem with new I.Tech clip headset.
It's ok now as I downloaded the POcket Bluetotth Tools from this link:
http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
Now it's ok for incoming and outgoing calls...
Cheers..

Persnickety Bluetooth
Thanks for the link!
I had a problem with my Jabra BT250 after the WM upgrade. The mic and speaker remained active on the device, and the earpeice on my headset was active, but not the headset mic. The BT Tools did the trick.
Thanks
Jabra BT800 & XDA ii
Hi there,
The Jabra BT800 isnt compatable with the XDA ii (check www.jabra.com)
I owned this headset and had exactly the same problems, i now own the Jabra BT200 and it works perfectly
The BT800 needs a phone with bluetooth handsfree profile to be able to use the advanced features like caller id. Xda II as standard has only bluetooth headset profile.
I'm not sure about the 2003SE rom some of you guys are using, but I've tried it with the Buzz WM2K5 rom (thanks buzz et al) and this DOES give it the bluetooth handsfree profile it needs.
BUT...
It seems Jabra's idea of caller id is to only pass the number across, and not the name. So for those of us that don't have a photographic memory its pretty useless. This isn't restricted to Xda's either. I tried a couple of Nokia phones that are 'compatible' according to www.jabra.com and these do exactly the same. Number shows on the jabra screen but no name, even though the phone is showing both.
I emailed Jabra about it and they acknowledge it is an issue. They also tell me there is an issue with numbers in international format in that they fail to pass the + sign across, so you can't ring out from the call list.
JD
Ya need 2.20 translated to have a working Hands Free profile.. BT800 needs hands free profile.
Caller ID still only displays if the number is a virgin to your system.. I think HBH662 will work with 2.20.
2005 may work with no problems too.

Nokia CK-7W with Diamond, it works!

Well, this is not really a question or problem. But just a headsup that the Diamond works just fine with my Nokia CK-7W.
However it would also be nice to hear from you guys (and girls) as well, since I can't imagine I'm the only one with succes!
You might wonder "Why the hell do you post this?!". Well, that's simple because when I wanted to find out whether that Nokia carkit would work together with the Diamond I coulnd't find anything.
And since my experiences with Nokia carkits and HTC phones weren't all that good (read: BAD, lots of echo and weird connection problems) I was pretty anxious to give this a try.
After testing it on another CK-7W, which was already built in a car, I figured it worked perfectly so I took the plunge and got one for my car.
(Before you ask, why no parrot or other brand? I was able to get my hands on this one really cheap.)
The only problem I got was the first time I wanted to pair the device. Every time after entering the 4 digit passcode I got a message saying the passcode was incorrect. Instantly, not even trying to connect. After leaving it all alone for 10-15 minutes and I tried to connect again it suddenly worked without any problems. And it's still working with no issues at all.
ROM I use:
SWIFTBL WWE DIAMOND ROM V7.5
OS Version: CE 5.2.20755 (Build 20755 AKU 1.4.0)
Base ROM Version: 1.93.405.1 UK WWE
So.. more succes stories here? Or problems?
Hi
I have the same setup, Nokia CK-7W in my volvo s60 connected to my MDA Compact IV running swiftbldade 7.5.
It all works perfect.
I even have MS Voice command setup with it and it annonuces incoming callers and messages perfectly and voice dialling works perfect as well.
Call quality is very good as well.
Shaks
Hey - I've got my CK-7W working fine too, except I'd like to also enable wireless stereo... but the option doesn't seem to exist... I bought the CK-7W off a friend, and he was able to use wireless stereo, but I cn't - has anyone else had any success...?
Relly something I want for using TomTom, etc...
Hi i have CK-7W car kit and I am having problems getting my Diamond to pair can you please advise how you guys paired your ones?
Can't say anything more than I just used the normal way to pair, go to bluetooth settings, search for device and select the carkit + enter correct passcode.
I did however have some problems in the beginning. It would find the carkit but after entering the passcode it said pairing failed.
But when I tried later again it went without a problem, and it paired everytime without a problem ever since.
I dont think the ck-7w supports stereo audio. There are however apps that can route the audio over the carkit. BTAudio is one called if I remember correctly. That way you can have the tomtom over the carkit, but quality isn't that good really.
And some say that using that audio routing also gives 'problems' sometimes, as in it sometimes seems like there is audio (e.g. the car radio is muted) but you don't hear anything for a few secs. So that can be quite annoying.
hmmm??? My diamond wont even pick up the car kit during the search!
I had some problems pairing in the first place...
Don't try to search for the car-kit using the phone, just have your Diamond on BT visible to others, and the car-kit will try to connect automatically... I think you might need to hold the button on the car-kit down for like 10 seconds for it to search, but definately let the kit find the phone, not the other way around...
I fitted one of these to my brother in law's car the other day. Tested it with my diamond, but i expected it to be cross compatible.
Bit offtopic, but what's the advantage compared with a just as pricy parrot system?
Hi Y'all,
I am using my Diamond with the nokia CK-7W and it works fine as well. Paired up without much fuss....

Eh.. none? I find the quality better compared to my old ck3300 parrot carkit. However, this one doesnt have a small lcd display or something. Not that I missed the lcd screen though, but sure was a nice feature.
Best thing about the parrot was that it's possible to put a new firmware on it. Could make them a little bit more 'future-proof'.
Nokia CK-7W with HTC Touch Diamond2, VITO VoiceDialer
Pairing the device was easy. In coming calls are working. Push on the carkit button and I can answer the call.
The problem that I have is that I can't do a voice call. If I push on the carkit button nothing happens. I would have expected that the VoiceDialer app would be started and I could make a voice call. The VoiceDialer app works without bluetooth.
Has anyone an idea how I get voice dialing working?
Remark:
With my pervious cell phone Motorola L6 was this possible. Pushed on the carkitt button, wait on the beep, say the name, when recognized it repeats the name and the number was dialed by the phone.

Bluetooth and the S9HD

Ive had my Verizon TP2 for almost a week now. I havent activated it yet because Im waiting for a case and screen protector. In anticipation of my TP2 I purchased Motorola S9HD Bluetooth headset. I paired it up with my VX6800 and it works awesome. It has great sound and all the features work with Voice Command as well as Media player. With my last headset I had trouble with VC hearing what I was saying but with this set I could speak softly and it picked it up with no troubles. Folks on the other end of my calls say I sound great even while driving in my car.
Now for the TP2.
After using it for several days I paired it up with my TP2 just to play around with it. Holy HELL!! Its terrible! Voice Command asks me over and over to repeat myself and still doesnt hear me. I cant pause or skip to the next track after I manually start either of the two media players. What a load of crap. Please tell me the phone gods here are working on a new stack for this thing. PLEASE!!
I have the same headset and mine works. can you go into the bluetooth settings and make sure sterio audio is connecting. I had a issue with the headset not working with coreplayer originally when i found out that this half of the connection wasnt connecting at first.

which media player are you using? core did not work well for mine though it had louder volume, but winmo player worked perfectly
I havent installed any new apps on it yet so I was using Windows Media Player. In Bluetooth settings it shows that both Hands Free and Stereo Audio are connected. I will try to delete and pair them up again.
Yay! Paired it up again and now its working.
Voice Command is still not hearing me though
Is there a mic setting somewhere that I need to turn up?
Audio Dropout / glitches on S9HD
S9HD audio via "sprint music player" dropouts all the time...wouldnt pair to other LG phone so wonder if anyone is experiencing it. Will try other apps...
PS-pause, tk chg, vol & call answer work OK...Not using VC yet.

No "Media Audio" option when connected to my car by bluetooth

Hi All,
I'm having trouble with Bluetooth on my v10. I've looked through the forums but haven't seen any people with an issue quite like mine.
My car is a Hyundai and the radio was updated to the latest software about 6 months ago. The phone will pair fine and works perfectly for phone calls but I can't get it to play audio over bluetooth. In the bluetooth menu the "Media Option" check box is not visible at all. The particularly weird part is that while the audio still comes out of the phone the rest of the bluetooth features will work, I can change the song with the radio controls and the Artist/Title are displayed on the radio.
It works great with my soundbar, alarm clock, portable speaker, and my moms Dodge truck. That would lead me to believe it's the car however I never had any issues with my gs5 for a year and a half. I tried it with two different iphones and my roommates G4 and all of them worked perfectly.
My phone is an h900 on 5.1.1 rooted(had the same issue before root).
I'm at a loss here. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have a bug report w/ google on this. Please take a look and chime in to get them to fix this. https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=221322&thanks=221322&ts=1472583426
Im going to guess you have a 2011 to 2013 hyundai right? Probably with navi?
So google is blaming samsung of course so I have an email into them. Their chat was useless.
Your device is using Samsung's heavily customised version of Android which this website has no visibility of so cannot support. You need to speak to Samsung for user support and issues with their devices and their software. Thanks.
