Using a Sprint TP2 on a Canadian carrier (3g)

Hi,
I would like to know if a Sprint TP2 will fully work on a Canadian carrier (like Telus or Rogers)? I know it will work, but I heard from some people it will be stuck to 2g. Is that true? Is there a way to enable 3G in Canada for the Sprint TP2?
Thanks
Sam
No. The Sprint (and Verizon) TP2 devices only have support for 2100 WCDMA in GSM mode which is what is used in Japan and Europe. Canada does not use that frequency, so you'll be limited to 2G if you're using a Sprint TP2 in Canada in GSM mode.

gsm or cdma ?

Hi,
I purchased two htc touch pro from ebay referring to specs from htc site. I thought the phones support gsm. could you help me confirm ? You would have to go to ebay and use some trick or search for the item. I am unable to paste the url here as I am new member or email me on yahoo at imiten.
htc touch pro (sprint)
item=160544125463
htc touch pro (us cellular)
item=230575128224
htc touch pro specs you can google to find it. But snippet is given below.
Network1 HSPA/WCDMA:
* Europe/Asia: 900/2100 MHz
* Up to 2 Mbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
* Europe/Asia: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
(Band frequency and data speed are operator dependent.)
and note for above specs says:
Network bands in regions other than Europe and Asia Pacific may be different, depending on the mobile operator and your location.
Please check with your mobile operator.
Regards,
Miten.
if you really mean touch pro, i.e. NOT touch pro 2, then these phones don't support GSM, you bought the CDMA versions, Sprint and USCC are CDMA operators

If the devices have 3.6" screens then they are Touch Pro 2s and they are CDMA/GSM Worldphones. If they have 2.8" screens then they are Touch Pros CDMA only.
Also if they have Directional Pads (dpads) toward the bottom for up, down, left, and right then they are Touch Pros.
CDMA only
A quick search of the item numbers on eBay shows that the OP purchased the Raphael (Touch Pro) and not the Rhodium (Touch Pro2). This means that the devices purchased, as mentioned above, are CDMA only. Case closed.

P40 work in US

Will the P40 work on Verizon in the US?
Huawei P40 Pro have very bad cellular network support for US bands. I have only tested Huawei P40 Pro 5G and here is supported 4G and 5G combos and bands: https://cacombos.com/device?model=ELS-NX9 . In Verizon network this device works only single band.
No. None of the unlocked Huawei smartphones support Verizon US because Verizon uses CDMA technology for 2G and CDMA2000 for 3G, and unlocked Huawei phones only supports GSM technology for 2G and WCDMA for 3G. While their 4G network is technically supported, Verizon and Sprint require devices to support their 2G and 3G technologies in order to make phone calls and text messages.
