Just wondering if there is a fix for unresponsive/slow auto-rotate on the Touch Pro as it takes 2-3 seconds for the phone to switch to landscape mode (for example, viewing pictures). Currently running RomeOS 1.22 (latest version). When I first installed RomeOS auto-rotate was very responsive and would rotate straight away. After a few days though, it doesn't seem to be as responsive

Hi,
As most of you should know, this version starts up the camera in landscape mode. It's actually a good feature but I'm having problem with this features.
Changing the screen mode is quite slow (portrait to lanscape and vice versa) if we have several today plugins enabled (especially PocketBreeze). On starting the camera, the screen is changed to landscape. The camera shows what it should but it does not responds to any keypress. This is because the today plugins are taking turns to refresh themselves (even though they a hidden in the background).
So, is there a way to disable this feature? I already checked the in registry and found none.
Thanks.
Strange, my camera of same version starts up in Potrait mode automatically...
After install move new camera.exe to /windows catalog and replece old one.
My opera completely stopped auto rotating...
Also my picture rotation is very delayed and not consistent..
I know my g-sensor works fine because I calibrated it and player teeter and resco bubbles....
anyone have any idea? should I exchange it?
I always found with opera that screen rotation has been opera's "last priority". If I am loading a page and try to turn the phone while it is loading, especially images, there could be a 2-3 second delay before it rotates. Sometimes even longer. Usually after its done loading it is snappy though. (0.5-1sec)
mine does not rotate at all anymore...
but teeter works. So something is wrong
Also the album application also rotates very slowely. About 3-4 seconds after I turn the phone does the picture actually rotate.
have you updated to the latest version? Or uninstall-> reinstall?
reinstall what?
Isn't opera part of the ROM
I have the sprint touch pro

Hi, first time poster! Anyways I recently acquired the HTC Fuze which is my first Windows mobile phone and everyhting semmed to by working fine until today. Now whenever I enter any games, the camera, or any program that requires the G-sensor it always assumes I am in landscape mode and I am unable to move to portrait mode even when the phone is fully up right.
The sensor still seems to work, but only in landscape mode. I have applied several tweaks and added several applications, but none that were anything major and none that have to do with the G-sensor (at least I think). I have also tried calibrating it several times and the every seems to work right it just won't leave landscae mode. Anyways, is there any way I can fix this without a hard reset (trying to avoid)? Also my phone is still under the ATT 30 day return policy so should I just return it and get a new one?
Thanks to anyone that can help!
does the calibration tool give any feedback?
are you sure your taking the pictures rightside up w/ the camera?
some games require u to flip out the keyboard for landscape or portriate mode, have u tried toggling the keyboard?
Yes, the calibration tool seems to work fine.
Also about the keyboard, yes I have tried that and it seems to work for some applications, but some applications stay in one mode regardless of whether I have it flipped up, down, right, left, or with the keyboard out.
Okay. it now works again, but the when I want to take a picture it is in landscape mode still. I can take a picture in portrait mode, but all the photo adjustment modes (when you tap the screen) are still in landscape, but I think I might know what caused that. I made of few adjustments to the registry to get some more camera modes and i think that might have caused it. Also, why do American cellphone carriers have to stifle innovation by removing the front camera?
Thanks for your advice Orbitrix.
G-sensor only works sometimes
Usually, the G-sensor does not rotate the phone when it is supposed to in various apps-like photos. I have tried adjusting the timing in Advanced Config and using the calibration tool. Sometimes it works perfectly, but usually, nothing happens. This is VERY frustrating!!!
Anyone have any other fixes?
Rom version: 1.90.707.4 WWE
Rom date: 8/23/08
Radio version: 1.02.25.19
Protocol version: 52.33.25.17U
Some progress??
I just noticed, that if I open the Pictures/Video program, so it brings up the screen of thumbnails, then open a photo from there, the G-Sensor doesn't work when I tilt the TP. However, if I scroll through the photos in the TF3D interface, then select a photo from there, the tilt works very quickly. (I reset interval to 75).
I have the Stock updated rom on the HTC Fuze. I am annoyed that the caller Id/incoming call screen does not come on in landscape mode.
update (work around)
I come up with a solution that allows me to use applications in landscape mode and be able to screen incoming calls.
I had previously used advanced configuration tool 3.3.0.0 to enable landscape mode. While in landscape mode the dialer screen would malfunction if the keyboard was closed (even if I used screen changeScreen v2.78). Apparently landscape under screen in settings is different than open keyboard landscape. I had to either always have the keyboard open to view apps in landscape or answer every call.
I checked again to see if anyone else had this problem and knew a fix and came across my post. Maybe someone else with the same problem might find this post and be directed to the posts below.
I currently use the sensor to rotate certain applications. The device stays in portrait mode so the dialer cprog works (after a delay).
Sensor auto rotate:

select programs to auto rotate (I leave the phone in portrait):

I must first apologize if this has been covered before, but the search function has not been working for the last few hours.
I was running several of the Gingerbread based Roms and my G-Sensor was working just fine. It auto rotated as it should.
I am selling the phone so I had to get it back to stock and unroot. Now that I am back on Froyo, my G-Sensor will not work. I have autorotate checked in the display options, but no go. Browser, email, nothing will rotate. The only time I can get the browser in landscape is if I go into it's options and select landscape only.
Bump..... sorry, still stuck.
