My opera completely stopped auto rotating...
Also my picture rotation is very delayed and not consistent..
I know my g-sensor works fine because I calibrated it and player teeter and resco bubbles....
anyone have any idea? should I exchange it?
I always found with opera that screen rotation has been opera's "last priority". If I am loading a page and try to turn the phone while it is loading, especially images, there could be a 2-3 second delay before it rotates. Sometimes even longer. Usually after its done loading it is snappy though. (0.5-1sec)
mine does not rotate at all anymore...
but teeter works. So something is wrong
Also the album application also rotates very slowely. About 3-4 seconds after I turn the phone does the picture actually rotate.
have you updated to the latest version? Or uninstall-> reinstall?
reinstall what?
Isn't opera part of the ROM
I have the sprint touch pro

I have noticed that sometimes when I have my keyboard out in Opera the screen draws the characters I type oddly or not at all. When I shut the keyboard and use the on screen keyboard it works fine. This specifically happens if I select save as for a download. I have also noticed in some other apps, namely Kilmist RegEdit. Any ideas?

Could it be, that you have enabled ClearType in landscape?
Thanks Deep Thought, you nailed it.

You're welcome mate! I had the problem myself and would never have found the cause if it wasn't for xda-devs!
Thanks for the idea to turn off cleartype in landscape. Fixed some of my problems too!!!
Like I said I had problems too. Somehow ClearType messes up in combination with TPs VGA driver in landscape.
I just got the HTC touch pro a few weeks ago, and probably my biggest problem is with opera. the first time I load it after a reset it is always fine... but the second time the "HTC" splash screen is always CENTERED on the screen half overlapping the start bar, and takes about 10 times as long to load opera itself. Not sure why... any clues from anyone?
I'm using official australian 3 rom.
many thanks
Exact Same problem here - bump!!!
Anyone have any idea on why this occurs and how to fix?

why not just update to the latest version of Opera? I believe the latest build is 2808. I use it and have no problems
I updated to the latest version of the Mango beta (7712 i think) the other day and now whenever I turn on the screen it takes about half a second for the clock and date etc to appear. Anyone else have this issue or a solution?
A lot of people are noticing that behavior.
I think it's a bug.. but it doesn't happen all the time to me.
It's amazing how annoying just a little bit of lag is in this OS, isn't it?
Good to know im not alone. Ill put up with it as this is a beta. Everything else works perfectly
When I first "upgraded" from last month's mango to this months updated version, I noticed this too, but I also noticed that the homescreen "flash" was gone, which for me was a very acceptable trade off. I reset my phone to get my twitter and linkedin contacts to load, and since then my screen has reverted to the old form; that is, flashes the homescreen for a second before going to the lockscreen. Awful.
I thought that was just the new behaviour
It was one of the first thing I noticed after updating. I didn't think it was a bug, I just thought for some reason that was the new behaviour.
It definitely doesn't look as clean as the old way.
Yeah, I wasnt sure if it was a bug or a new feature as it seems to fade in after about half a second kind of like a transition effect.
Whatever it is I much prefered it the way it was before this second update as like people have said it just looks like really bad lag.
Mine seems to have sorted itself out. All ive done is turn it off for the night. Couldnt hurt to give it a go if its annoying you
after updating to mango on my omnia 7, I have this strange situation with my lockscreen. is this a bug? anyone else noticed this too?

it used to happen to me quite often when i was on 7712. Doesn't happen anymore on mango.. but there's still a buggy animation sometimes when i unlock too quickly, appears as a repeated top 1/4 of the lockscreen i think
i don't know why, but it's still happening. i tried to power of and on, but it didn't help. i don't want to do a hard reset. it seems that the problem is gone if the music is playing (when the mini player is displayed in lockscreen).
so, i figured out, when that locksreen lag is happening. if you have mini player shown, when you press volume buttons, that means there will be no lockscreen lag, and everything will be like it should.
but, if you go and play a video, and then go back to homescreen, there will be no mini player shown, when you press the volume button, and if you then turn off the screen, and then on again, the clock and calendar will display with some lag (about half a second). this will continue to happen until the next time you run audio player. then, if there is mini player in the dropdown volume menu, there will be no more lag in the lockscreen.
please, try this and see if this will happen to you too. i know it's a small bug, but it's really annoying!
Some apps got screen mess on OrDroid 8.2.0, Dolphen Browser,Chrome Beta
did anyone has the same problem?
sorry for my pool English
Yup, whenever using chrome, my keyboard sometimes gets messed up, like the content of the browser covers my keyboard and it's just messy. It was known to be glitchy, I don't know any fix for it yet. Experienced this also while viewing videos on youtube. The playback bar would get stuck on the browser the whole time until I close it with task manager and start again.
Hi, anyone know how to make this auto rotation not so sensitive? I noticed that if you tilt it only for a second it would rotate... Or is there any setting that can be tweak say if tilt over 2 seconds then only the screen will rotate.... Thanks...
Completely agree with this. Most sensitive I've noticed on a phone probably ever. To the point where if I put it down on my desk or go to pick it up, the screen would rotate. Ended up having to turn off auto rotate.
Would love to find a way to reduce the sensitivity.
3rd party apps would solve that but don't want to install another apps just for the auto rotation.. I ve tried calibrate the gyroscope still the same...
Same here.
The orientation is too sensitive, but also buggy, plus when it goes to landscape uunwantedingly, it sometimes crashes google search when trying to scroll through the results.
