Huh? Leaked? Skyfire sent out emails Tuesday saying they opened the beta for anyone to download without waiting for an invitation.
Skyfire was released to the public, try reading their website sometime.

It's always been like that, just hit continue and it'll take you to the sign up page.
ok, GUYZ calm down....
you should all recieve an email telling you ur invited, but u need to type in an "code" that is txt messaged to you to complete the process. so make sure u give the right phone number. and also the "beta code" is for the people that have attended the confrence, and they apperantly have a priorty for the beta program. and if you want you can sign up again. i certainly would. and no i still have not recived any more information.
i have also heard from another person that they started sending out sms's....
and the "beta code" is for people that have attended the confrence and went to their booth.

I'm keeping a close eye out. I signed up to recieve an sms 12 days ago.
So do we know for sure if they have started sending out text messages to people? I know their website changed thursday night, but they haven't updated their blog or anything.

Ugghh
I got the text message with the confirmation link. Clicked on it, but my phone wouldn't connect to the internet, so I soft reset. The text was gone after the phone came back on! I'm so annoyed. Anyone know how to recover a lost text message?
I signed up after i read about it on engadget. I actually installed it. Must say it does load desktop views fast as hell. Reminds me of the iphone where you have to zoom in. to a certain part of the page. It actully plays youtube videos in the webpage much like your desktop. i had to download it like 20 times to get it to open up. Man its fast. I thnk its fast becasue it doesnt load the entier page. you have to zoom in holly cow...

Its not supported, you have to have a phone number...
Works as advertised
Just saw I had a text message and was up and running in about two minutes on my 8525. It's fast and youtube worked natively. Going to keep testing, but looks like it will soon be my default browser.
can you tell me when you applied for the beta?..that would be a help.

Jott was the best known, but is now a pay service. You can get the voice to email/text message functionality from Dial2Do. I use it often when driving.

Yes. All the options till this date use a server for it as the database would be too big to be housed inside a smartphone.

I too used Vlingo with my Blackberry during the painful months that I had to use the Curve. It is the only thing that I miss about that device, and I too have been looking for this software. Vlingo was very smooth, and it processed everything on the device itself. Telus offers a Voice Command service, but even their proprietary version takes much longer to convert than Vlingo did.

Be sure your name is set in "owner-information" or in "me" in your contactslist.
The key is related to your username. You can find both in the received mail from Ageye.

I wouldn't mind getting a g-alarm license for free, even if changing the owner name on the device would be troublesome if I won't be able to change that back as soon as license validation is done
Anyway, I downloaded free 1.5.1, both repacked promptless by ninjaduck, and vanilla from pocketpcfreeware, but it won't install on my hd2, I get a "failed installation" error as soon as i double click the cab...

pm'ed you... probably sending the license to everyone would mean pirating, as one license is intended to be used only by one user... since I'm the first to have asked, I get to be the one
The current version available to download from the G-alarm website gives you a 10 day trial version of the alarm.
Now that Qik is working on the market the following is useless.
I know some people can't get Qik to work, or even see it in the market so this is what you need to get Qik with video chat going on your phone.
1 - Download the APK from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6710910&postcount=9
2 - open the apk up with astro or whatever you want
3 - hit 'upgrade' and follow the steps
4 - power off your phone and pull the battery then put it back in and power up(not 100% required but it's better safe then sorry).
5 - open up blue Qik(should be the only one) and enjoy!

Sure, this app allowed you to download songs for free... but it was still a cool interface & a nice quick way to load up a track(especially old hard-to-find ones). I just had the .apk installed last night but loaded a new rom today & then saw it was gone.
Sadly, this was an .apk I didnt keep a backup of on my pc otherwise i'd try installing it again now. Anyone else used it?

Indeed... I can also view the market link so we can safely assume that the app itself, wasn't actually removed. Also, Greek users are very disappointed by it because one cannot listen to music from his phone even if he/she is a premium user, as dimnik83 stated... which is in fact strange. English, German and American users, seem to be enjoying the use of this app to its fullest but us Greeks... well that's a different story... sadly. That aside, Last.fm is still up and running on the market.

im not talking about the official app. it was another app that was entitled Last.FM Free.
if you do a google search for " last.fm free " it shows up on the search results(7th link), but when you click it it's gone.
even whozzaat free message to india apps is deleted from the market..
how do we get them ?..

Apparently its not cost effective on Android but its fine on Xbox Live and Windows Phone 7. I find that kind of odd since Android has a lot higher user base than Windows Phone. But I bet Microsoft made a deal with them.
