Facebook on nimbuzz
Hi i would like know if it's possible to use facebook with chat by nimbuzz or others software.... I have a omnia i 900 and i can't use facebook chat wiht the programs installed on my pocketpc... I tested many .cab but none works ... Thanks
Hi, it says it does facebook, most of my friends are on other services and so i have yet to test it out. It has certainly picked up some facebook contacts from somewhere, references them by a 9 digit string though so i have no idea who is who. May sort itself out if they are signed into chat same time as me.
that doesn´t work for me
i using SKYPE and ICQ
i cannot login into my ICQ profile
nimbuzz cab file
hope this can help
the problem is nimbuzz does not have a notification pupup like palringo that notify you if you have a massage or missed call
soo is there any why to make nimbuzz do that ??
i really like this software but im not using it because of that
Also sensors are not working when using Nimbuzz.
So basicly when talking with a friend your screen is always ON.
And that sucks for batery life etc.
My phone is galaxy S.
Good program, but they need to work on adding some more features.

Hey everyone, I've got a question.
Is there an application out there that will automatically forward all SMS's in your inbox to an e-mail address? Or even if you have to do it manually once a day or week or what ever. The plan is to keep all my SMS's in an email's inbox. Is it possible? Is there something out there? Thanks
K.
WM 6.1 Omnia (if that makes any difference to anyone) is what I'm using.

This will work with your phone.
Hi,
Anyone know if forwarding SMS to email ispossible to do this in silent-mode, i.e without the phone user knowing which email it is sent to and when? Reason is I am worried for my teenage daughter as she may be involved is something not good and want to help her for obvious reasons.
I have an HTC PDA with win 6.1 pro
Many thanks Nd regards
Amedeus

I don't know if that's legal, be it your daughter or not. And even if it is, is it ethically correct ? I think that intercepting an sms is like intercepting e-mails or phone calls, it shouldn't be done.

Do take a look at PhoneLeash. It can automatically forward incoming SMS to your email or an SMS destination (another phone or Google Voice). You can even reply.
PhoneLeash 1.7 is now released. You can find it here.
We are really happy with the quality and reliability of SMS forwarding to email. With PhoneLeash you can also reply (if your phone has an email to SMS address).

Appreciate if you can provide the link to download the apps. I tried to access skype website from my HD2, but it says 'Sorry, Skype is unavailable for your phone'.
Shall this be deleted??
Skype for WinMo has been discontinued by Skype, if you have already downloaded it, you can install it and use it, but buggy, for example all your blocked contacts will get unblocked after you use the WinMo client, but it works both writing and voice chat...
Skype WinMo development team were a lazy bunch of *****
even Fring managed to route sound to earpiece perfectly !
could of been perfect or at least better than the almost perfect iPhone skype app.
Download link for 3.0.0.256 is in my signature ...

I installed Skype on my T-Mobile HD2 and I talked to a friend in Japan with no issues. The first time you start Skype it syncs up/updates or something and it takes a while so make sure you have a Wifi connection before you run it.

Hello all,
I just released a free application/service that forwards your SMS messages to e-mail addresses you define, and also sends responses back when you reply to the received e-mails (coming from your own number). Etext uses Google's Cloud 2 Device Messaging (C2DM) to notify your phone without polling every x minutes, hence the Android 2.2 requirement. It's designed so that it can actually replace the default SMS application's notifications, and to be able to reply to incoming messages from any device that's able to receive e-mail, no matter where you are.
The application is brand new on the market, so it would be great if the XDA community could give it a try. Screenshots and a more thorough description can be found on the Android Market (or should I say Google Play). Below is a link, and a QR code that you can scan on your device. If you have any questions or suggestions you can always post here or e-mail me!

Hey!
Did a quick test this and it works well Will do more tests soon.
Was wondering what the real purpose is. I mean ... wouldn't SMS be more reachable than emails given that for email a net connection is necessary, while it is not necessary for SMS?
I'll be using this to have a record of my messages in my mail and occasionally to save a wee bit on my message bills!

It bugged me that I couldn't receive SMS messages or reply to them when I was using my tablet (or any other device for that matter). That's basically why I started working on the application. It worked pretty well for myself, so I decided to implement C2DM and release it on the market. A plus is that I can now search for a name on GMail and get the text messages as well.
[Warning] the "official" Windows messenger app is leaking your email and password
Hello all!
I have seen that between 10 and 50 millions people are using the Windows Messenger app by Miyowa on Android.
Just to let you know, this app is leaking your email adress and username in clear text in logcat.
I created in 3 minutes a demo application that "steal" these credentials (and they are not stored in the app, that's just a demo, but if a was a bad guy, I could send that to my own server ;-)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.WazaBe.WindowsCredentials
One the app installed, just play a little bit with Messenger and open my app, it will display these credentials.
So the only advice I could give: uninstall immediatly Windows Live messenger!

Uninstalled, thank you for sharing!
That's a serious leak, have you contacted the developer also? Hopefully they fix that soon.
Yes, they seem to have taken my warning seriously.
App has been updated and promised a fix (v2,0,88)
I have currently no time to test it but I guess they did it!
Is there any alternative to old SMS Backup+ app? I want SMS messages uploaded to Gmail and watch them like conversation. SMS Backup & Restore is great but not that great because messages are in .xml file and I can't see contacts separetly.
Maybe you can try Coolmuster Android Backup Manager, if your phone is Android based. This tool can help us back up text messages and other data from Android phone to the computer easily. Then you can check it easily. And more, it's free to do that. Just have a try.
actually I tried on another way.I have web hosting and now I upload SMS messages to the server.
But I have email address from web hosting paired with gmail my messages are not mowed on gmail.
But at least now I can upload messages online.

how and what do you use to upload to your server?
I already have my own blog website. So I created another email address which is used only for SMS backup. And then put IMAP settings from this email to SMS Backup+

okay thanks
I read up on accessing it this way using an app password
how safe is this though do you know?
seems like if the sms+ app was compromised, they would have a password to get into my gmail account which bypasses 2factor
I don't know how safe it is. But if they want to get into your gmail account that would do even when it was only one click away from connecting.
But now they can access only to your another email address.

ahhh
I was thinking of my main gmail
I'll just make a gmail account for SMS texts only, thanks!!
Oh, you thinking of mail gmail account. Maybe you can try other email providers, like yahoo.
On your gmail you can only transfer emails. But because it was in different folder gmail did not automatically transfer. You need to do it manually. It's annoying, yes.
But more safely because you can select what you want to transfer.
