Emulating 320x240 on 240x240? - General Topics

Hi! I have a Fsc T830, with a 240x240 screen resolution. I would like to run 320x240 full screen programs (pocket heroes). I tried Nyditot Virtual Display, it's fine on the today screen, but if I run a full screen application, it's not working. The game shows up like without the virtual display. Any progs or tricks to do this? Thanks in advance!

PPC screens : size vs resolution

Which is more important for a PPC screen : size or resolution ?
I know both are important, but would you prefer a 3.5" QVGA screen or a 2.8" VGA screen ?
Which is more convenient for internet browsing ? office applications ? games ?
Does a 2.8" VGA screen hold as much data as a 3.5" QVGA screen ?
Resolution and screen size are independent. QVGA means 320x240 pixels and VGA means 640x480 pixels. VGA will always show more data, but on a smaller screen it gets harder to read if you have bad eyes. What WM does by default with the larger resolutions though is display the same amount but sharper.

Forcing display into QVGA mode. Is it possible?

I have done a quick search here and on google and found a couple of apps that are freeware that allow to force a certain resolution downwards from the native resolution.
This is my issue. I have a couple of old apps that come from WM2003 times that where specifically written for QVGA and on there they don't look right. Is there a registry hack or any software out there that will force the screen to display 240x320 by default.
I know this is kinda silly to run the phone in a lesser resolution it was designed to do, but I hope someone might have a solution to this?
Thx
I think there was an app for switching between 640x480 (VGA) 480x800 and 480x480, but not for lower resos im afraid

Run a VGA application on a QVGA device

Hi,
Is there a way to show a VGA application on a QVGA device?
I can see only the upper left quarter of a GPS application when running it on my 320*240 TyTn.
Any way around it?
Thanks
unless it can autoresize by definition, you can't

Resolution - is it a problem? Let's resolve this and come to a resolution.

Ok, a question that needs answering that has popped up in my mind from time to time is about resolution.
#1. If a person buys a Asus P565, or Touch Diamond with 640x480 VGA res display, will the games and programs that used to run in 320x240 on my TYTN res be now a small square on the screen?
#2. Or again, If a person buys a Sony Xperia X1 or the Asus P835 (Glaxy 7) and is running a program that used to run on a 320x240 display but now it is running on the Xperia that has a 800x480 will it be in a small square, or will it be full screen and all distorted, will it be cut off on the sides, what happens?
Basically, what happens? Will everything be screwed?
The answer to the problem?
Doesn't anyone know what will happen?
there r some apps which are auto resolution or use force mode. Also there are few progs developed here by the developers for resolving the resolution. So no need to b panicky
HEHEEHH
I was actually a little nervous, so when you wrote panicky i laughed ehehheeh.. Thank man!
Problem with my resolution.
I am having a problem running some games and apps that were designed for 320x240 rez, now that I have a device running at 640x480. Does anyone know what is available that could help me?

Force games in QVGA

I noticed my HTC Fuze (Raphael/ Touch Pro) runs games in QVGA MUCH MUCH smoother and faster. I was able to force for example Ancient Evil to run in QVGA by deleting the VGA resolution files, but how can I force generally other games (like Spore, NFS, Nanobots...) to run in QVGA?
bump, I wanna play diablo, but it displays in vga (only takes up 1/4 the screen), and even if I had a magnifying glass, the touch is still centered off being fullscreen so it's impossible to click things.
force qvga app anyone?
