hi folks,
i have a strange problem with the HTC Stereo Converter with Microphone from brando.hk
http://shop.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=01946&dept_id=027&cat_id=0937
whenever i plug it in, use it with earphones listening to music after some minutes my diamond starts to call the last called person.
i don't klick on anything, it just starts to call "by itself".
cost me a lot of money to "autocall" a friend from a foreign country
anybody got the same problem/a solution for that problem?
using dutty's diamond rom 1.93WWE, radio: 1.00.25.07
additionally the sensorlock program
I had the same problem with my phone.
First I've tried to change the radio and rom but no use: still with the same problem.
Now I've changed the earphone/mic by another and now it's working fine.
I got same problem, how you solved it?
This is not so rare problem and it is due to stupid function of redialing after double click on active button on original headset. When you connect your adapter and 3,5mm headset then it is identified sometimes as doubleclick and starts redialing. This function is completly useless for me and is causing a lot of unwanted calls even if I do not have adapter connected( sometimes I just doubleclick active button by incident). I would be very happy if someone could tell me where can it be disabled in registry.

I have bought a Plantronics M3000 bluetooth headset for my QTEK 2020. I have no problems pairing, calling and answering. However the headset just shuts off after a few minutes of conversation. It doesn't just cut the conversation but shuts off. I can make multiple short calls but nothing longer than 3/4 minutes. It works, however, without problems on my wife's Ericsson T68. Anyone can help ? Thanks.
Marek
Hello,
I have the MDA2 (same as QTek2020) and a Plantronics M3000 and It's been working just fine.
The problem you describe it's very weird since you mentioned that the headset works fine with your wife's mobile, and that makes me think that your QTek has some sort of problem with the Bluetooth stack or hardware.
It may be well worth to try (if possible) another headset just to make sure that is not the M3000 fault.
Do you see any type of error or message on the screen at the time of disconnection?
Does it always cut the conversation at the exact same moment?
Does the problem match the time the QTek takes to power save?
Any other clues?
Thanks.
I did not have the occasion to test another BT headset on the Qtek. When it shuts down there isn't any message displayed.
I have no problems with the BT stack (with the Pocket Bluetooth Tools patch) when using it with a BT GPS (Emtac) receiver, it works for hours.
However, your suggestion that it might happen when the Qtek goes in energy saving mode is interesting. I will check that tomorrow.
I'll post the result.
Hi
I seem to have a similar poblem after installing pocket bluetooth tools!.
I use a Jabra BT 250..and I noticed that the headset just mutes during the call..
I am generally used to switching off the display of the XDA after placing the call to power save ...
So I discovered that the headset would mute whenever i switch off the xda after making the call (which it never did prior to installing PBT)!
any thoughts on that?
maybe it has to do with the auto switch off plugin?
Actually I just experienced that too...
If I place (or answer a call) the next time I try to use the phone via the BT headset I notice the BT headset was turned off... Yeah, it could be related to the Powersave feature on the today plugin that PBT installs as a plugin...
Need to investigate...
Best regards,
Rayan
Both my bt headsets have stopped working since installing pocket bluetooth tools latest version, I have reverted back to version 1005 and everything is fine. I have a sony-ericsson EBH-65 and a skypower clip on headset.
my platronics does the same also its annoying you cant even transfer the call back to the device you have to hand up turn off bt and then turn it abck on and headset mode back on it also does the same on my pc
when im on msn using it as a headset it just d/c and i have to turn it off and turn it back on again
dont see what the problem is
btw the range on the xda2 and platronics is amazing i had it on my bedrooms desk and i went outside it passed through the living room wall and the patio window and i was stood 5m down my garden im sure it would of been over 10m and it was still working if i kept still when i moved it went crackly but ah well lol
just hope someone sorts the prob out
Hi,
I was having the same problem with the M3000. I just had confirmation from Plantronics that this problem is a bug in the product that occurs with the XDA II. I am currently in the process of returning the product.
Regards...Mike
Same problem M3000 doesn't work. Give up now before too much frustration makes you feel ill.
Try the Hello 2 headset. Work with my Aussie XDA2 and is very small and lightweight. Even had a neck chain to carry it around like a USB drive.
Well, I wouldn't be in as deep of a trouble if this were my phone... But I suggested the Mini to my GF.
Anyway, she was using headset earlier today and after she removed the headset, the phone is stuck in headset mode. Meaning no voice coming thru the phone's earpiece on both incoming and outgoing calls. She tried the headset again and voice is coming thru headset without problem, but once removed, it's still stuck. How do I get the phone out of headset mode please???? Anyone has similar problem before??? Please help!!!

hey hi ,
There are many ways of fixing this -
1)softreset
2)turn bluetooth off! if you are talking about bluetooth headset
3)where it says enable bluetooth headset on today screen - disable it
These might help you!
Regards
AMD
The socket has probably jammed internally, try insert pull out a few times making sure you pull sharply when removing, if this fails try inserting something slightly smaller and jiggling it about. I have also used a tiny squirt of WD40 which is like an easing oil for rusted or obstinate nuts/bolts/screws, also you can buy a spray called switchgear which is used for electronic components such as volume sliders/switches etc when they become sticky and operate intermittently. This is a well known problem on the xda 2.
Thanks guys, it's not BT and this is after many soft-reset I'll give WD-40 a shot. Thanks again!
I've got exactly the same problem here. My phone is bonded to a BT headset. Forgot to bring the headset and found that no sound, or extremely small volume, was coming out from the phone. Tried soft reset, deleting the bond etc. none of it works.
Would be interested in knowing what's the real underlying cause if anyone finds it out.
Hey Solitary, I'm in HK as well and I think it's a hardward rather than software issue. Coz. if I pull the headset, the normal clicking sounds can be heard from the phone, just not during voice calls, I think the earphone on the phone is somehow dead, looks to me like cold soldering
I'm calling O2 in the morning and demand an exchange, my GF only had this phone since 1/9 and besides this, on the unit we have, the voice quailty is also bad too
Hi, CL55,
You might want to read this:
http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php?option=articles&task=viewarticle&artid=58&Itemid=3
It seems it is an old and common problem for smartphones.
I've also read in a Taiwan forum that they have got exactly the same problem in Taiwan for the Dopod818.
But I wonder if it is hardware related. My problem is that I'm stuck in a BT headset mode, and I'd never touched the hardware headset socket. So either I have a different problem than yours or else it seems it's more likely a software problem.
Anyway, do tell us if you manage to solve it.
Can you confirm if you can hear the clicking sound from the buildin speaker now? Only no voice from the earphone, or no clicking sound from the buildin speaker as well? I really suspect I have a different problem
Yes I can hear all other sounds from the speaker loud and clear, except for talking over the phone.
So it seems I've got a BT software (or my BT phone hardware) problem but you've got a Mini hardware problem.
I was listening to some music through my headphones on my jam and I got a call, so i pulled the headphones out of the jack. Once i did that no sound would come out of the speakers, not even after many soft resets. I could still hear sound when i put my headphones back in, but nothing when i took them out. Then i tried making a call and pulling the headphones out of the jack while in the call and that fixed it. It must put the hardware in some bad state if you pull headphones out when there's a call?
i had this problem to but i've fixed it! hard resets doesn't seem to work so i pulled the battery out for a night and my speaker was working again try it!
I have an XDA II with a Logitech Mobile Bluetooth Headset for the last 7 months.
I've just returned one of these headsets as faulty because I kept losing 85% volume in the ear pierce ocassionally when I received an incomming call. I then bought another one and guess what? same problem, so the fault has to be with the XDA phone itself. The problem is I only seem to get this problem with incoming calls, can't remember getting this problem when making a call. When the volume drops I can just about hear the caller but its extremely faint.
The only other Bluetooth device I use is my TomTom navigation unit and although I have had some problems with both devices working together I'm not getting regular problems, just things like the TomTom can't alway connect to the sat box or my headset doesn't always work when the phone rings.
Anyone else had this problem and more importantly the solution???
Thanks
Paul.
I had that problem and I was advised to turn off device, remove battery for 20 secs or so (ensure backup fully charged!!!) and then reinstall battery, reset device (soft) then finally re-install headset ans establish new BT pairing to headset.
fiddly but it did work
good luck
Pete
I did that as advised by Logitech but the problem still occurrs on occassions. Is it a problem with headset or XDA?
Hi all, i have a problem after upgrade my SPV C600 from WM5 to WM6.
after finish the upgrading, i could play my windows media player and could make a phone call without any problem.
after a while after i plug in my earpice to listen music, it went good as well.
after plug it off (earpiece not attached), when i play windows media player, i cant hear anything and i try to make a phone call also the same, no sounds came out from speaker and from loudspeaker as well. but when i plug in the earpice everything goes smoothly, meaning that i can listen music and communicate with others when make a phone call.
before that i tried to ensure whether i face the software or hardware problem by setting the ringtone (start->setting->sound). but the sound could come out from the speaker.
after that i guess that the speaker (hardware) has no problem.
as to play windows media player and setting ringtone are using the same speaker.
can anyone tell me whats happening with my phone?
i believe that it is software related problem.
thanks in advance
my advise is to reboot your phone at me this works...

Please state which ROM you are using, we recommend Andot's PEE
I too have this exact problem any solution other than hard reset - dont need the pain of downloading resinstalling all my stuff - especially if its going to happen again.

Tornado mic and speaker for phone not working
It rings and plays sounds but it appears that the hardware microswitch that sets it to wired-headset mode is stuck. I cannot set it back. Also: it switched into this mode when I rebooted (soft). I did not add or remove a 2.5mm jack. Is there a registry setting to override the microswitch sensor and keep it out of headset mode?
Hi, this is my first post and hope helpfull everybody, possibly i was the same problem over ALL ROM (wm6 & wm6.1), searching for any solution (my specific trouble was that if i wanna listen music over any player: ( a.k.a windows media, pocket player, etc), i dont had a normal sound from the speaker, the sound was distorsioned, low... horrible, the only solution was insert the plug from the headset and out , but, power off the phone and... again, sucks really ), i return to a Wm5 Rom (imate) and solve the problem, but, tired for the slow performance of WM5, search for other rom, sacrify the music listen ( but i have a good mp3 player...), and, the same problem.
I found in the web (no remember the page) that the SRS plug-in anytimes cause troubles with the sound output, i try to install any ROM WITHOUT this complement, the ROM from Rickywatt Tornado Neo/shadow no have this plugin, install and ...Eureka, no more the issue, follow my instint, i install the SRS plug in, reboot and... the fuc%$& problem, hard reset and the phone witout the problem... conclusion, the SRS was the monster.
You can try this "method", most of rom carry or include from the "kitchen" this SRS dll, but installing the rom from Rickywatt (fast, clean... beautiful, only without the spanish lang, but, nothing is perfect...), can solve the issue, for me ,cors, i dont know for you (my phone is a HTC sda).
For the mic, really i dont have idea , any bad registry, entry, etc :-(, i never have this issue, good luck...
Greetings from colombia (sorry for my poor English)

That's not controlled by software. Try plugging and unplugging a headset several times, twisting it around to clean the contacts. It should clean and close contact for built in speaker to work again. Think of a circuit. If its closed, you have built in speaker. If it opens and you have a headset pluged in, then audio flows thru the headset. It won't go back to speaker until that circuit is closed again. Its mecanical, not software, so you can't do anything with registry.

the same for me
well
the only fix i got was to disasemble and remove the swithch leaving its contacts as exposed as possible, the soldered a wire between 2 of the 3 connectors, hey presto all working, headset hole then filled with glue from glue gun
very rough but it worked....
as an after thought though see if youve updated your radio software, stranger things have happened if youve been into flashing with 3rd party roms

i have no idea what causes this -_- the time intervalls are often less than ten seconds and sometimes minutes...
if you have an idea please tell me;-)
sounds as if the pickup phone button on the headset is periodic defect
as if you click pickup phone button it try to call the last caller
