I'd like to know if there is any program that can change the imei of a s710. Please don't give me info about illegal use. It's experimental and i'm changing it back to the original afterwards.

Hi everyone,
I got a Qtek 8310 but it is sim-locked. I did SuperCID, instaled WM6. I can use other sim card for few minutes, but later on connection to network disappears. Anyone knows how to disable sim-lock completely? I am writting from Lithuania. Phone is locked to Bite network.

For unlocking your phone, search the forums more carefully. Easiest option is to install vjgrace's new WM6 ROM.
If you need Russian localisation files, check the WM6 Localisations thread to make sure you can get what you need before you start.
There is also a pretty slimmed down and stable WM5 ROM out there, I believe in Russian.
Any ROM you update to from here will unlock your phone. Just search and you will find.
I do have vjgrace's WM6 ROM instaled but it doesn't help and I tried everything that is possible to try on my phone when searching this forum
I just noticed that when I do *#06# to get IMEI on my phone, it shows IMEI with two 0 at the end. IMEI number under battery is without 00. Could flashing my ROM changed the IMEI number?

There does appear to be a new IMEI changing app up in the dev's forum though. If you need it.
If you've installed the ROM and it's still locked, maybe you need to update your radio? But if it works for even a few minutes, it probably isn't SIM locked. Otherwise it should give you "sim error" or some-such.
How can i restore my imei?It was changed after hard-spl or cooked rom instalation.

The cooked rom and hard-spl doesn't do anything to your IMEI. In fact, it is illegal to change it, so this couldn't be true.

Yes, you are wright. It was my mistake. The imei from the recipe i got from the store has less 2 numbers than the imei that appears in the tab Identity on WM6. This two digits are from the version. So thank god the imei is alright.

HI huys i used Tornado_WM6_Platinum_Edition to upgrade my c600, all gon e well and after complition device rebooted and then it never boots up , i can only tri colur screen written following things on it.

No problem, still got tri colour means its still recoverable, I bet is you did not SuperCID properly, check with TeraTermPro and type info 2, see if you get the word HTC Super CID

Did you SuperCID correctly?

Sounds like it is still application locked.
Use a registry editor like regeditSTG (must be a free member to download), and edit the following registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies (then press "values")\ 00001001 = 2 -->Change the value data from 2 to 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 16 --> Change the value data from 16 to 40
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001017 = 128 --> Change the value data from 128 to 144

If this doesn't work, then post back with the exact handset info (like the brand name printed on it, the service provider who sold it, e.g. Orange, or T-Mobile, and which ROM version, etc).

dear i think this tweak can work if os is installed, mine case is different, i am not being able to boot the device just a tri color screen and thats it
This happend to my C600 you can definatly reflash with the orange AKU2 firmware so do that to start with so you get and OS back on there then post back your when you have done that.

Only after try searching in forum and google i decided to wirte in this fantastic forum. Sorry for my poor english....
I have a ebay-purchased Artemis (P3300) and, using Opera mobile it freeze and I swithched off. It never change Windows Mobile more....
It only reachs the bootloader mode and if I try to charge another ROM but I can't because it give an ID error. The device is not CID unlocked....
I try to unlock it:
- Kaiser unlocker: not posible, requires ActiveSync
- SuperCID: the same above
- Blackstone Cid unlocker: Is my solution....but doesn't work!!
Changing the Vista-driver and in Xp I get the same promp:
Device no response (or similar)
I can use RUU with mtty without problem.
The posibles solutions the I can understand throught this forum are:
- Technical Service: No posible, the ebay-vendor removed the IMEI - without IMEI they don't repare without a legal IMEI (and in garantee...)
- Hard Reset: doesn't work, the device format his internal device, start windows installation and it freeze completely.
- CID unlock: Only posible in bootloader mode and in doesn't work with blackStone
- Original ROM: If i could find the original ROM, the device will complete the actualization and (with lots of luck...) restart the device OK
There is another solution?? a tecnical service without IMEI requirement??

Without IMEI your device is useless. Send it back to the vendor.

It's both... the SW needs the IMEI (hardcoded in the HW) to check if the device is accessible. IMEI is like an ID-card for humans... without ID you don't exist, just like a phone without IMEI doesn't exist.
Will look nice as paperweight though

The device has an IMEI and was functionally for two months without any problems... but the IMEI stick is not attached into the battery hole.
Then, in real the device has an IMEI and can work as a telephone, but I have no way to know it....
His use as paperweight is the last choice...i hope!!, In this case....it will be an very beautiful one....
Then, If i could restore the ROM on the device, maybe it would work properly...
Any idea to restore it??

I have such a problem I wanted wgrać for themselves tongue of Poland but something for me didn't come out and the phone for me completely fell down. I managed include the mode bootloder but there is a question what I cannot for here wgrać Romu of the one which I took. If only to access HTC aside and to play rom from them I must give to S/N which I don't have unfortunately because the label was scraped off. Is there some way to read S/N out from the broken phone? He/she is thanking in advance
It is hard to guess what you may need. If you do not use it already, then use google translate and paste the English text here after translation.

The serial number of your device can be found by removing the battery from the device. Once you remove the battery, you can see a white patch with text on it. The serial number is located here (S/N: HTxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or S/N: SZxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). if the serial number on your device is damaged or missing ( lost ) I recommend you try the official rom, as expressed by tobbie or you can try ROMs available for the Vox at http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Vox_roms
