Map volume buttons - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi,
Anyone know if its possible to remap the above to launch applications?
The only button that can be mapped as standard is Button 1 (Hold) - what a bummer

Use AEBPlus. You can remap also red/green buttons and D-pad.

Thanks, it works now!

Home/Back buttons mapping

Hello people here.
I want to use the home/back buttons for different purposes, that they are designed for. I am using AEBPlus software. With this software I am able to map much more functions on these buttons, but the problem is,these buttons are doing designed functions(home/back) also after mapping even they are unbinded from the system and handled by AEBPlus,so one click means 1click function and home/back at the same time. Anybody knows, how to disable default functionalities?
Thanks for help.
I have AE Buttons to ramap PTT with a long press to activate voice command. I use a 1 press to bring down the Start menu. But it also remaps the "Home" key to do the same. They seem to be locked together. Any thoughts. The descriptions of the buttons in AE doesn't do them justice. Can't tell what is what.
my PTT and Home button are mapped as the same for some reason.
when i use AEBPlus, i can do 1-3 clicks on the PTT, but i cant do the PTT Hold for some reason. any ideas?

It is very limited, only 4 buttons. You can not remap with it roller buttons - up, down, left, right and middle.
You can use Vito ButtonMapper
http://vitotechnology.com/products/buttonmapper.html
or
AE Button+
http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
Sorry, I saw to late that you want to map the buttons through registry. I will dig into the registry to find the keys
I've got an XDA Ignito (Touch Diamond), and it only shows one button (voice speed dial) in the buttons app.
When looking in the registry there is only the key: 40C6, which is the Voice Speed dial, but no other keys.
Is it possible to add a key, and map it to a hardware button, maybe the ones above the phone keys, without using other software like AE Button +?
I have already tried with the keys 40C1-10 and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any replies!
Edit: sorry I just noticed this is in the Polaris forum (was searching for mapping buttons and didnt notice!)

Isn't there a free program? I mean isn't this a simple tweak. Also, what do you mean by add a home and back buttons?
AEBPlus is a program, which can handle all keydown events sent from keyboard driver to the OS and modify/use them to control other things with ANY key. If your key isn't in predefined list,it can detect the keycode and you can remap it. Perhaps, unfortunately the home and back keys(and the qwerty as well I think) are sending direct WM messages to going home or Ok/Close and nowadays we cannot disable these functions at all to be sent to OS,even tough we can handle them and use with other functions. That means, you can map on these buttons anything with AEBPlus, but you cannot get rid of their default functions(overall it does 2 actions at once - going home and AEBPlus action mapped).

How do I add the home and back buttons?
every time I add a button then click on home, it minimize down AEBPlus
Don't worry about it. Click on "Task Manager" (top right corner) you will see AE button there; select to open it. Button #00ED and #405C are "Home" and "Back"
AE button doesn't work well on RRE's ROM. I don't know if it works as it should on the other ROM or not.

Aha, now that's interesting! #00ED is the button that is added for the PTT button on the Fuze, as well. No wonder that adding an action in AEBP for the PTT button does the same thing when the Home button is pushed!

Yes, I agree! It is really weird... I did the hack to add PTT_LongPress.lnk to the windows folder and made the PTT longpress goto my commanager. This will overide when AEB tries to change longpress on the call & PTT. You cannot change the short press of the call button, at least I don't know how. So in theory my longpress of the call button now is voicecommand & my longpress on ptt is commanager.
I used AEB to program single/double/triple press of the PTT button also.
Sometimes when i hit the Home or call button though the camera comes up which is assigned to single press.
AEBPlus needs to update their program for the Diamond and TouchPro before I will register it..Someday

Only two buttons listed in the Buttons control panel app

In the Buttons control panel app (Settings -> Personal -> Buttons) there are only two buttons listed: "Send key (Hold)" and "PTT Button". I was wondering if there was a way to add the other buttons here so I could configure them. With the TP2 there's not exactly an overabundance of hardware buttons...
You're probably going to need to get a button app. Vol d-pad may work for you (it turns volume buttons into up/down/left/right buttons). Or, try out AE Button+. It's highly configurable, but costs about 8 bucks. A regedit isn't going to solve the problem.
Anyone know if HButton works on the TP2?

Remapping an on-screen Key to a Hardware Key (Classes Info?)

Hi all,
I am trying to remap my Raphael mute button (in the phone application) to a hardware key such as the back button using tarkims button config application. Does anyone have a list of think is classes? I need to see the correct way to identity the mute class to assign it to the hardware button.
