I can t connect to a pc, i want an upgrade because this rom is not good
I tried to switch off advancednetwork funcionality but it didn t work,

Some times my SDA cannot connect too; I fix it uninstalling ActiveSync from my computer and reinstalling it, also try in other computer. This work for my. good luck

Everytime I connect my PC to the phone via USB cable, I get a message from XP saying,
"USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
Activesync never goes green and I can't flash my phone to a more stable ROM. I just got my TILT 2 days ago and really don't want to be stuck with such a slow ROM. I flashed the phone to the HTC AKU bigstorage ROM before this and everything worked fine. It's just when I tried to flash to the AT&T Rom did I run into this problem.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Have you tried rebooting your PC?
If rebooting the PC doesn't do it you may need to completely re install activesync itself. Worked for me....
I reinstalled activesync and now it works.
BTW, is there a way to stop Activesync blinking my programs in and out from being selected on my PC?
setting -> connections ->usb to pc -> uncheck a mark. this should help.
the best idea - change rom to htc, faster, more relible, no sync problems.

i have no idea what has happened to my universal (imate jasjar)
i started upgrading to a new ROM, and then it got stucked on the bootloader. it only shows
USB (when connected to usb, or serial if not), V0.6 on the bottom of the screen.
i tried the ulock of the bootloader, (light, softrest, power), exitbootloader, but nothing worked.
when trying to use mtty it gives me an error (can not open usb).
i am using vista.
any help will highly appreciated

I also got that USB-port problem trying to use mtty and UNI_exitbootloader.exe thoug i had disabel the USB-port in WMDC(I am using Vista ) so I tried a PC with XP and activesync. Same Problem. Then I tried to remove activesync. Same Problem.
Then I tried a PC with XP but where activesync had never been installed at. And this worked. Now I did see the USB in port menu in mtty.

replace your cable...i had the same issues and that solved them. hope it helps.
Use XP, disable ActiveSync and then connect USB to your PPC. Mtty will show USB. I did it thousand times. Tested and working!
Vista and ROM upgrading ... they don't mix.
For upgrading your ROMs or doing any such thing to your Uni, use XP.
Search the forum, there shoulod be post somewhere with the XP USB drivers attached, if I remember correctly, replacing the Vista drivers with those will probably solve the problem, but with Microsoft, you can never be 100% sure...
i upgraded to tomal's rom to give it a try, and it works great, problem is i can't remove the rom....mtty tool doesn't work cause everytime i connect to xp, vista don't matter about 10 cords it always say usb unrecongized and when i do the ruu...i get a error so i was going to try the mtty but i can't even connect the universal to the damn pc, in bootloader it goes from serial to usb when you connect that works, but u see it connect to the pc for like 2 secs then the usb unrecongizeable any help i'm tired of reading all these treads....thanks in advance
bty mtty tool only shows com1 and com2 no usb at all
I found out what it was, i had to go in to safe mode and when i plugged it back in i hurry up and stop the auto update, looked in device manager and there it was *** pocket usb sync **** before i couldn't see it now i followed the post on upgrading using vista no problems thanks!!

My htc cruise doesn't connect to any computer. I can recharge it by usb cable but i can't syncronize. What can i do? i would like to install wm6.5 but i can't because there are only kitchen rom and i can't install hard spl. Can someone help me? Thanks.

if you cant install HardSPL then you cant use custom roms nor install wm6.5 unless its made by HTC...
if its not recognized by any PC...check cable/PC...else send it to repair...
have you tried Hard Reseting device?
Thank you for answer. I tried hard reset, i flashed by microsd with htc rom, the device run, i can recharge, i can syncronize by bluetooth but any computer doesn't connect to it. It seems as if it hasn't some drivers.... i don't know.For a while i could syncronize it by usb cable.
And can i try to install another program to syncronize in the device?

If the flashing to another Rom won't help the solution, it could be that it's a pin problem where it connects with Ur cable, what I've read in several posts on this forum. And that's what my problem is, what I find more significant 4 my problem
I had the same issue, not all USB cables are made to allow connection with with PC. Change the cable ...
Hi, for few days when I installed first modified ROM into my TP i noticed that I have problem with connection and synchronisation. When I connect device via USB and set sync pda is connecting and disconnecting. The same problem with connectin via storage. I don't know why I can't establish connection via USB and BT ... I tried few differend ROMs, differend RadioROMs and it didn't help. I checked connections options, tried HR after updating new ROM and nothing helped ... Is this problem possible because of updating HardSPL? I didn't notice that problem when I had oem ROM, because I haven't got usb cable. FYI i tried 4 ROM from Energy and one PROven ROM by qsqa (PLK rom). Could someone help me?
PS: I don't have problem with charging my device and option 'charge when connected to PC' is on.
May be the problem in your PC, try download fresh ActiveSync (XP or older) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista or newer) from Microsoft site, then install it..
