Try Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 for Outlook...
www.jeyo.com
I use it and it's ok!

I´ve try a lot of programs. Unfortunately they won´t connect the phone. I´am using Windows Server 2008 64bit as OS. I´ve checked with Jeyo, PocketSMS 2.02. Anyone have alternative programs?

Well, i have same situation in my office, my desktop computer runs Windows 2008 server, and the only way i found to connect my PDA was install VMWare Workstation and use a guest OS with Vista or XP and connect the PDA to the guest OS instead to host...
Cheers

Why don 't you try MyMobile software (freeware)? Then you can see (like remote desktop) your mobile 's screen and use your PC keyboard and mouse to write SMS. You don 't even need Active Synch. Use IP connection.

I use mymobiler and it works, but its very slow (USB).....(I´am writing
10fingers.....) If I type too fast, the phone doesn´t become the input....

I use Pocket Controller Pro, and it's awesome!!!(fast, includes explorer, regedit, skins, etc..), it's not free but worth it.

This workes really well for me and does a lot more than just SMS.....

dashwire
Use a website called www.dashwire.com. I just registered yesterday and it is awesome.
Basically, you register on the site, install an app on your touch pro, and then the app backs up all your contacts, sms, etc (you can choose which) and sends them to the site, where you can read and reply. If you write an sms on the website, it sends the details to your touch pro via the internet, then sends the sms from your touch pro. Cool eh?

Very cool indeed....except that hopefuly you realize that you are deliberately providing more than personal information to a company you probably don't know at all. Ever wondered why it's free? No ads, no nothing? No way anybody makes any money from this service...but most likely is resseling all the info you share...just read the disclaimer of this shady company...anyway, if I were you I would immediatelly shut it down! Am not sure how much you are familiar with legal lingo, but the wording of terms of use is leaving more than enough space for them to do pretty much anything with your information.
Call me paranoid, but this is NO GO for me. Just like "wonderful" Facebook, which I personally call the biggest privacy scam in the history....
Just saying...

ahh, without the option "USB to PC" fast sync Jeyo works fine also with Windows Server 2008 Now, I´m happy Thanks for help!

Desktop software to send/receive SMS' via cradle/activesync?

I haven't been able to find anything like this.
My old Nokia 6610 used to have software that let me send and receive SMS's when the phone was connected to my PC. I found it to be a very handy tool.
Is there something like this available?.. Maybe via Outlook?...
Obviously the freeware tools get first choice 8)
not a 100% solution but ms have a free program which let you remote control your pda from windows
so using that program you could send sms's
Thanks for the tip.. do you have a link or a name I can search for?

Thank you !
Theres a program called Jayo mobile extender that adds functionality to Microsoft outlook to send / read etc
Its really good because you can use it like your sending normal E-Mail

Sending text messages from PC through ActiveSync

I've been browsing the web and can't seem to find anything suitable. Does anybody know of way of sending text messages from your PC through Active Sync to an XDA mini s. Something similar to the Nokia PC Suite. I can't believe that nothing exists?
Thanks

1, welcome to XDA-Dev
2, you mean, say, mass message seding with, say, contribution lists on the desktop PC? Or, did you mean simply remote controlling your PPC? If the latter, read my remote control articles (Wiki!)
Hi, Thanks for the welcome.
I've seen the application that remotely controls the PPC through the active sync connection. I was hoping of just some kind of small app that could sit somewhere with your contacts and then send text messages from.
Is the remote control app the way that people normally do this then?
Regards
Marc
you can just buy Jeyo mobile companion (to be used independently in your desktop) or mobile extender (to be used as plug in to your outlook) to send SMS from your desktop.
Thanks, will have a look at the Jeyo software. Was hoping for something open source but that's pretty cheap. Marc
I use Pocket Controller-Professional it's great and it syncs clipboards too great for pasting addresses etc from my pc data base into text to send

Push Email

Hi all
Its been a while since i have been here ( as i switched to the iphone), while i think the phone is really cool, i miss some of the features of windows mobile ( calender, and productivity functions), i have got used to having my emails with me.
My question is can you do push email on windows mobile and if so how do i go getting more info on this (i tired to search but could not find what i was looking for). on thing i can do on my iphone is get all my work email forwarded to a gmail account this is then shown on my phone, but when i send a reply i shows the address as my orginal work email address, can this be done on windows mobile.
any help would be great as i want to get a tytn II.
cheers guys
Neel
no one knows
I sure if you do some searching on this site you will surely find what you are looking for.
ummm, push email functionality has been available since windows mobile 5.0... talk to your IT guys if you want your work email sent to a windows mobile phone, pretty much all of them have push capability, slower than black berries but still gets the job done MUCH better than polling...
if you're interested in it, theres a java based program called funambol that is/was open source and is still in development i think, not sure... if you run your computer and have experience with ftp file programs and such with a dedicated broadband internet service (nowadays what internet forum user doesn't) this would be a good solution for you... you'll download all your stuff to your own computer, OTA contacts and PIM sync without having to have an enterprise server
it works very well at this point, but i believe its still open source on some platforms, give it a try

more specifically, you want myfunambol, the free personal service, here is the link for that

[App] SMS through PC - Windows Mobile 6

All,
few years back the company I worked for had an application allowing SMS messages sent via desktop through outlook to the phone recipent...
Now with that in mind....i'm wondering if there is an application that can:
type text messages through your desktop whilst having the mobile connected to the computer i.e. through ActiveSync (basically so I don't have to fiddle around with the phone and text)
okay so mobile is HTC Touch HD (WM 6.1)
what do you think?
erm there already is an app floating in the Dev&Hack Forum called SmsSender
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452608
Hey try this App, MyMobiler, its an app that lets you control your phone from the desktop, even send/receive sms via phone. hope this helps!! Mymobiler.com
Using for about a year, works for me!!
Yip my mobiler is good. However if you want intergration with outlook (2003 and above only) on ur laptop/pc, Raspbery software do an app called True Connect. Its not freeware (about 15-20$) but it is very good and you can see the texts inc send and recive from outlook on ur PC. Google it.
btw if you buy it and have problems, their support is VERY GOOD!!
ENjoy.
Efficasoft Mobile Express is also a very good free application for sending SMS using your PC while connected via activesync.

I just went to the site.. worked perfectly.
also, you can use Jeyo Outlook Companion.
and if your network supports Text Messaging thru outlook you can define it to send SMS's from your number without connecting to your phone using activesync.

Not similar to outlook, but... myphone is a web application on the pc-side, so it's opened in a browser, so you can use the browser print function, isn't it?
With Myphone i can do many things but i can't print good...
I've found the software "jeyo mobile companion" or the similar "Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 for Outlook" that do whatever i want... except to print....
it's important for me to print sms... it's the first thing that i'm looking for....
Any other ideas?!!
thanks
Workaround: with MyMobile you can select the text with the mouse, copy and paste wherever you want, and print...
Use jeyo mobile companion software .....
