It's for streaming videos. If you search the forum for streaming media tricks, you'll get a pretty good idea of waht people use it for.

Here's a couple of very good media players, both capable of handling streams.. music or videos.
Hello all,
I am looking for a software to stream my DIVX videos from a media server to my windows mobile. But with no success.
Can someone give me a hint?
Google search Orb or cyberlinklive
Can't post links, sorry.

Thank you, but the problem here is, that you are watching the videos over the internet. That means you must have enough upload speed.
I am looking for a streaming software that works with home network, so that I have full speed via WLAN.
Moved as not software release.
Greetings,
Does anyone know of a way to stream music from a Windows7 desktop to a SDA flashed to WINMO 6.1 without the use of 3rd party appz?
Thanks!
You can use VLC player to stream your media to PPC, and use VLC's web interface to remotely change track.

Audio problems while video playback
When I listen to a video, for example breaking bad, the music in the begining is played mostly (75%)played through my right ear. I tried both sw and hw, I also tried dld a new custom codec but nothing "centered" the music. What's wrong?
