Phone is autodialing people in favorites!?!? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Anyone experienced that the phone by itself is calling people in the favorites list. It happend the first time two days ago.
I didn't carry the phone, so it couldn't be the old accidental "phone in the pocket" dials.
I had the bluetooth headset (Jabra JX10) switched on and connected but in another room (less than 10 meters away).
The phone dialed the first number 10 times in 10-15 minutes, then started with the next number in the favorites list.
Ideas anyone?

Screen lock issue?

A ghost maybe???
No idea here... sorry

Has it ever happened when your headset is very close to the phone or not switched on at all?

I had this happen to me last Saturday when it called the first favorite 5 times in a row. At the time however the TP was in its pouch, in my front jacket, supposedly locked and on standby. But I did have my Jabra BT3030 connected to it at the time.
Haven't had this happen before or since.

Even worse...
I had it, laying on the table, in the pouch. No headset connected.
Because of earlier problems (called somebody 10 times when in my shirtpocket) I use Sensorlock.
-My battery settings let it sleep in 1 minute.
-Still I had three calls to the first person of my favorites list.
-And I am 100% sure I did not touch it.
-And with more then five minutes between the calls.
I just cannot find out what went wrong. But it is possible that Sensorlock does not always work well.
Now my first name in my favorites is mr. AAA with a fake number. This hobby is too expensive to me as it did an international call.
Huib

I had the same issue as well, and it terrified me. Phone called a contact for about 10 times in a row, while it was simply laying on a table.
I had installed Sensorlock a couple of days before, so I also have the impression it is the culprit.

same here
I confirm this happened to me a couple of times. Before reading this post, I thought it was due to the case being too tight around the phone.
At all times I lock the device before placing it in the case.
Yesterday I've had around 10 calls made to the last number dialed and the previous one, at random intervals (between 1-2 min and 20min).
Bluetooth was on, secured (use it inside the car with a Parrot device - but that was not the case).

I think you have to find first who used you BT headset guys becides blaming the TP. LOL (just joking but sounds very ghosty/funny)
This f****ng case is a pain in the @ss. I 'm gona change it.

verizon tp2: screen wiggles when tilted

hey everyone,
I am new here but i have been along time windows mobile user and I've always had samsung pda's hence thts where sammyluva comes from.I just got the tp2 yesterday and I realized when the screen is tilted and I touch the screen with my finger it wiggles back and forth. is defected or is tht normal.
Also at one point I had my headset connected and i got a call. picked up no sound at all, almost like it was on mute. I soft reset it and it worked. Has this happened to anyone else?
GPS lag is there as well. I heard some people did a hard reset, did this work and improve the gps lag?
thank you in advance everyone!
Never had the wiggles on the tilted screen, interesting.
Headset? More info needed!
Lag is improved out of the box over prior models, but what app are you running? If it's a 3rd party paid app, you might want to download the fix from HTC.
Google Maps picks up within a few seconds, and works much better than any other phone I have had (iphone or other htc models!). Driving, you get a little lag, but that's probably the best it will ever get.
Hello Syntrix, the screen doesnt wiggle by itself, but when its fully tilted and you touch it with your finger it moves back and forth. Not sure if its normal or not as i've never had pda with a tilt screen before.
As for the headset, I was wearing a regular headphone and I got a call when I answered the call I couldnt hear the person that called and they couldnt hear me. I soft reset and it didnt happen since.
For the gps, I am using TOM TOM 7 and the lag was very bad today that its almost useless to use it as a gps.
Not a headset problem but I lost sound from the speaker while connected to the cars BT. I reset the phone and it fixed itself. Last night while home, I lost all sound and had to reset. Stock VZ TP2.
sammy, i have same problem with the wiggle. It has gotten worse over time. wasn't there when i first got it. now it no longer clicks in to place tilted back to flat. wiggles all the time.
i got a replacement from verizon under the 30 day worry free, same problem. I called HTC they said it shouldn't do that. the rep had one in front of him and said it stayed stiff. very frustrated ...love the phone but i guess I just live with it until next phone.

[Q] Bluetooth sound disappearing after exact 4:50, call stays

hello everybody,
I have this problem that is driving me ( and my girlfriend, and my family and my clients) completely crazy!
I have a Clarion CZ309E carstereo. It is a wonderful thing with USB, SD, AD2P, Front-AUX and even CD and (yes! Hard to believe! FM-radio!)
But now the bad thing: every call I make using Bluetooth is rendered useless after 4 minutes and 50 seconds. What happens is:
a call is initiated (no matter inbound or outbound)
music drops (CD, USB, A2DP are paused as they should be)
sound of conversation drops after exactly 4 minutes 50 secs
call connection stays (on both sides, all hear this deafening silence....)
manually ending the call will bring back the music and allow for making a new call
. And then it starts all over again.
What have I tried so far:
This happens with a HTC Hero (8 different ROMS in several versions), HTC Desire HD, Samsung SGH-550, Samsung SGH-i320, Samsung SGH-400,
I have (re)installed the radio about 50 times
I have hard-resetted it a hundred times
Read The F*cking Manual ( I can cite it by heart now).
I have paired and re-paired the phones a hundred times
This happens only with calls, music, navigation, listeningbooks go on forever.
Bluetooth earpiece or other devices connected with the phones do not show this behaviour
Been surfing for months now trying to find any information. Nada.
Is there anyone, anyone that can help me? I am very hesitating to bring it back to the shop where I bought it (mediamarkt Hengelo), I have bad experiences with returning stuff....
(I had bought a certain type of carstereo that would die off immediately when connecting a phone to the USB. Even though I could find through the internet that this was happening very very often, they made me bring it in three times, waiting 6 weeks each time to get a new one that would day off the first day anyway. The third time I installed the thing on the parkinglot, connected my phone and brought it in again without even leaving the parkinglot Only then they acknowledged that there was a problem and they offered me this Clarion .
instead. So you understand that my hopes for a solution are not too high)
What do you think the solution to this situation could be?
Thanks for thinking with me!
Henro
Nobody?......
I whispered and the wind blew this message towards you....
Stoopid question or does no-one have a clue?
I whispered and the wind blew this message towards you....
*shrug*
Sounds like a head unit problem. You say that you can recreate the problem with different roms and different phones. You don't have the problem when using other bluetooth accessories.
I'm guessing no one is responding because no one can think of a way that your phone would be causing this problem.
@digi760,
U are probably right.
I thought it might have to do with a2dp but it happens also with phones that do not have that 'profile'. I am trying to find a common denominator, having no success...
The manufacturer blames the phones..... I am kinda stuck in the middle here....
Grtz Henro
I whispered and the wind blew this message towards you....
I'm Sharing your pain.
I have the same unit and the same problem. 4.50 mins and it drops out. It does this on a Samsung phone, a Nokia and a Blackberry so the problem must be in the unit.
Will keep chasing the problem. Let you know if I find something.
Jon.
Thanks

[Q] Hd7 randomly calling my most contacts

At 6:09am [EST] this morning (5/16), I received a call from a colleague of mine who indicated that my phone had called him 4 times at different intervals (12:26am,2:09am, 5:28am, 5:29am). When I saw his incoming call, I was like why's he calling me this early in the morning? I told him that I didn't call him and that I was still sleeping. Has anyone experienced this with their windows phone?
I did looked on my phone after getting off the phone with Marcelo at 6:09am and I noticed that my phone also called someone else [Jillian K] at 1:04am.
The last time I called [Jillian K.] was 5/15 - 3:06pm and after that, I made 3 more calls to 2 other people yesterday. However, I have not called Marcelo at all in some time.Other than Marcelo being among the 10 recipients that I texted regarding a game schedule early yesterday [5/15] around 11am.
Has anyone experience this? Thanks for your input.
I have attached a picture of the outgoing calls (w/the 1 incoming call from Marcelo)
Maybe you are sleepwalking
OT: no never had that
Yeah, I only know of drunk people that call at all hours of the night.
However, unrelated, I've had a similar problem, where my HD7 is screen locked in my pocket, I'll receive and miss a call, which unlocks the screen, and then the phone goes crasy bumping against my leg. Last time I had 3 outgoing calls before I heard the phone about to leave a voice mail.
Worst part was I had the phone on the coffee table the whole night.. unless there's a ghost in my apartment. I did noticed few things today -- I had IE tabs on the phone (3-4) that I didn't open. Later this noon, I received an email from Bank of Ameri. that someone tried to access my account online and was unsuccessful. Did logged in to check and to change my pwd.
The last app I bought was gMsg and I used it briefly to message my soccer group about game time. so may be the app is misbehaving?
I'll observe again tonite..
Have you developer unlocked your phone? What OS Version are you running? Have you ever flashed a ROM? Edit: On a related note, are you the first owner?
Figure it out?
which web sites were opened?

weird. Your proximity sensor should have prevented this.
Nothing? I was really curious about this lol.
Do you have any "weird" apps installed that might be causing this ?
Either that or you got a bugged phone dude.

Jealous wife/girlfriend
Ever get an answer ?
Apparently someone has been messing with ure phone if they had IE tabs open and they had triedto access ure bank account.
-Griffin CEO of Parios
Someone been using your phone: there's no doubt left in my mind.
I posted this thread 5/16 and since then several things have happened. For those asking about version, unlocked n etc. I'll answer all in one swoop.
First my Hd7 is dev unlocked but only apps like walkman7, tvshow7, wifi shorcuts, and etc. Haven't even used those in a while.
software version: nodo (as of today - decided to wait for final Mango)
I've no kids or wifey. Girlfriend was away on company business that week unless she suddenly acquired supernatural powers to control my phone from where she was.
Since i reported this, i've sent my phone in for volume button wiggling issue, so my device has been software reset (factory). Haven't seen it since. Also, at the time when I reported this, at least for 2 months, my phone just randomly reboot itself. I haven't had that happen since getting my phone back from HTC for the volume button fix and re-config of my phone from factory reset.
All I know is a factory reset seem to have fixed it for me. Keep in mind that after the fact. reset, I still went back to dev unlock my phone again and it has been great since. YMMV.

[Q] Bug report. Is this one possible?

Hello all. I have HTC Surround from AT&T with updated 8107 firmware. I have spoted some strage bug (i don't know how else i could call it) and wanted to ask if thisone is possible and if i do think right. So i have this phone for about half a year and i'm pleased with it, nothing happened to it until now. Last week i was typing an SMS message and suddenly it just froze. I tried to restart it but the phone got stuck in the white HTC screen. My firmware then was 7720. I have done the hard reset and everything seemed to be ok but today the same thing happened with updated version too. I thought a bit and remembered that both times my phone was lying on top or near by wireless microphone receiver which was in working state. So can it be possible that some sord of electromagnetic waves is causing my phone to do this? Or it's just a coincidence?
as i'm a developer i didn't this it's a bug ithink it's accidentaly and you were at that place again like other time
But that's quite too big to be jusn an accident. I had this phone for half a year and nothing. Well i'll try this Friday not to put it on top of the receiver and will post what happened. This thing scared my quite big, i thought that mmc is broken but i have checked the bootloader (i don't know how the screen with 4 colors is called, i think it's bootloader) and it showed my mmc working perfectly. If it was not because of microphones what could then be the problem?
OK tried that this Friday too. Same think - phone near the receiver - phone dies and i must hard reset it to work again. How is this possible? Which part of the phone messes?
Very possible that a strong magnet could do this. Internally the surround uses a microsd (there are guides here for upgrading it but taking the phone apart). I imagine a strong enough field could corrupt a microsd pretty easily. When u say wireless mic do you mean bluetooth?
No no no, i mean microphones which are used on stages, i work as a sound engineer and my phone always is close to receivers, close to controlers and other stuf i use. So to avoid further coruptions i should put my phone further from all equipment right?
OK after this other few tries i have found out that it does indeed mess my phone, i have tried holding it near wireless microphone receiver and my phone have frozen and when i placed my phone further from receiver nothing happened. So look out for that

Question Rare noises when calling

Hi People.
Every day more pissed off with the pixel, for the coverage issue and for something that is already being the straw that breaks the camel's back.
Now, every two or three days, if someone calls me or I call someone, in the first seconds of initiating the call or receiving it, some very unpleasant noises sound, like when you take a medicine out of the plastic.
It is a "Clack-Clack" that almost makes you want to remove your ear.
Then it goes away and if you try to reproduce the problem, you have to wait another two or three days. Very rare.
Does it happen to anyone else? Thanks in advance.
I remember having same issues (network and the noise) but so far after installing kirisakura kernel never had it. I'll keep on monitoring if they're still the case
I think the phone part could definitely be better. I have had several disconnects with a perfect 5G signal that I find to be suspicious.
