Revert Flashed ROM to Stock? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi guys,
I have a touch pro with a few issues (the same as everyone else) and I want to try a few things out in order to try and fix it. I just need to know I can revert it back to its original state if I need to...
This is my first Windows Mobile device, I have flashed hardspl to the device as the thread gives instructions on how to flash back, I'm just a bit concerned about restoring the original rom if I change it; The wiki has a few stock roms available, but it seems they include the SPL which I've read wont work correctly with hardspl installed. I've backed up the rom using pdocread, can I flash it back with pdocwrite without any issues? Obviously if I reconstruct it to flash back, it wont have the HTC signature so if I put the original SPL back on I will have a brick.
I'd like to mess around in the kitchen but need a way to revert it back to retail. How is this usually done?
Thanks.

Simply flash your chosen stock ROM (from the wiki as you pointed out). This will not overwrite your SPL. Hard SPL simply enables you to flash any ROM, stock or otherwise. There is a Stock SPL that you can flash for warranty purposes in post #1 of the HardSPL thread.

how to flash extendedROM before Warranty return

Hi I'm thinking of returning my m600 to the Orange SAV because of a speaker problem.
I tried a wm6 ROM and then downgrade (with difficulties) to my original wm5 rom , then found a way to put original orange bootloader screen, but the extendedROM is still the PDAMobiz Prophet WM6 (and there is no more installation process at hard reset like when I was using wm6), and I need to put the one which was furnished by Orange (I have a backup of it using awizard).
I succeed in unhidding the extendedROM2 folder (thanks to another post), then delete the PDAMobiz files and put the Orange one, but after hard-reset nothing install, and when I reveal the extendedROM2 folder PDAMobiz files reapear.
So I hope there is another way to restore my orange content.
What about the warranty if it has been flashed and then downgrade and make it as the original one?
thank you for helping a Newbie
Strange Official ROMs include extended_rom that are written upon flashing process. Are you sure you used an official?
Else...
You can try to use my software (WST - check signature) that, although made for wizard, i believe will work.
Best thing is to use the READ ROM feature before flashing to be sure that the addresses are the same (should result in a 10MB file that can be opened with Winimage)
The other way is to get pdocread.exe and itsutils.dll and get the extended rom partition handle and then use pdocwrite to flash an extended rom.
Last option is to get an official RUU and extract the nk.nbf and then from it extract the extended_rom chunk. Then make a nk.nbf with only that chunk and pack it back into an RUU exe.
your choice
You flash your Orange Rom wrong!
If you use a Original Firmware ... all are overwriten! Ext Rom too!
Don't worry, the first thing Orange do when the phone reachs their labs is to flash it with the official rom, test it and send it back to another customer if it works.
I think even with your pirate wm6 rom you would have met no trouble but I'm quite sure they won't even notice you changed the ext-rom.
If you really want to be sure, just unlock the extrom, delete the content and relock it

Please Help, Need to Revert Back to OEM Packages

Hi, for warranty reasons i need to turn my fuze back to the way it was when att shipped it to me. now ive been reading around for about two days and found some links to stuff but i cant really figure it out on how to do it.. and more so i realized that the att fuze is diff than the orignal htc touch pro(as far as software and keyboard layout goes).. so i need the all the stock packages for the att fuze and the stock radio.. and if someone could post up instructions on how to do it also that would be great. as of right now i tried installing what i though was the stock spl but got just a modified version of a rom. thanks alot
I'm also new and it took me a few tries to get my fuze back to OEM config. These are the instructions that I pieced together from the forums. Here is what I did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
1. Revert back to stock radio if changed
Current Ver: 1.02.25.32 http://rapidshare.com/files/157236372/RAPH_Radio_1.02.25.32.rar
2. Install stock ROM
Current Ver: 1.95.902.5 http://rapidshare.com/files/157242627/RUU_Raphael_Cingular_US_.exe
3. Install stock SPL
Install SPL 1.90, your phone may have shipped with SPL 1.95 but you need to install SPL 1.90 to overwrite the OliNex HardSPL. When you reinstall the stock ROM in the next step, SPL 1.95 will be installed. Be sure to follow the instructions on the bottom of the page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
4. Reinstall stock ROM
Hope this helps!

Back to my stock rom

Hi guys, I couldn't find this on the forums:
I want to go back to my stock rom, named: _HTC Touch Pro_MRII_RUU_Raphael_HTC_NLD_KPN_5.05.478.1_R_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe
But I have flashed a HardSPL from Olinex. What are the safe and correct steps to go completely back to the original rom?
Many thanks.
You can flash the stock rom, and keep the hard spl, it won't make a difference. If you are returning the phone for warranty, you will want to flash back to stock spl.
Check the sticky threads for the hardspl, it has instructions for returning to original for warranty. There is another thread for returning to spl 1.95, if that is the original spl you had. But you may be like me and didn't pay attention to which version you had before flashing harspl by olinex.
In the wiki you should be able to find all of the stock roms.
Cheers!
Thanks mate, I did a little gambling and just tried to flash the normal rom. It worked, with the SPL still intact I think. I sold it without warranty so it isn't my problem anymore .

cant flash anything after going back to stock....

i had used other roms before, was gonna warranty the phone out so i put everything back stock, decided to keep the phone, now i cant flash anything.
i tried flashing hard spl but it doesnt get past 0%. same things happens if i try to flash a rom.
any help on how to get this thing flashable again?
I'm not sure you can flash hard spl after going back to the stock spl. From what I understand, it's not really the stock spl. It's a patched version of the stock spl that has the proper signature to over-write the hard spl. I don't know if the hard spl is capable of over-writing this one; you should probably post the question in the hard spl thread or maybe pm cmonex. Maybe you just need to run the sspl first, but that's just a guess.

How to revert back from DeathSPL.

Hello,
I have a G1 and I just installed DeathSPL on it (after installing the radio of course and I have a PVT board). I've been looking around and trying to find how to go back from DeathSPL to something like HardSPL. I am pretty much trying to revert the phone back to it's original state. Any help would be great. I could not find any information on this in the FAQ.
Thanks!
Dootuz
just flash the spl you want to revert back to. just remember, when flashing the spl it will wipe the current rom off of your phone. so after flashing the hardspl, youll need to reflash whatever rom you want to use after.
Thank you, I could not find this anywhere.
