Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if I may have overlooked the answer to this, but is the TV-Out option on the TouchPro a software that's included or some registry entry? Both the Diamond and TouchPro have the same hardware don't they?
Would it be possible to rip that feature off the TouchPro and install it on the Diamond ROM?
Sorry if already posted
i dont think the diamond has TV Out option in its hardware though

So, there IS some hardware difference that makes the TV Out option present on the Touch Pro?
On the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z-CDgLbcEs
It looks like they just plugged it up to the USB port on the bottom and selected some options in what looked like a TV Out GUI. I wonder what hardware is missing on the Diamond that would prevent that from being implemented on it?
That so, sucks!! I thought they had the same hardware specs and was just being jerks and didn't want to include that feature to give me a reason to get the Pro.

Hi people, I am hoping the remote control could get it work, coz I use my kasia as mp3 very often.
if any of you know how to sort it out please let me know, I've just saw on other thread that the remote control wont works on the HTC cruise, and since dutty V4 is base on the cruise...
oh well, I am just hoping to get it sort it.
and thanks to Dutty again for the fantasic Rom !!
if what your looking for a television remote of sorts, the tilt lacks the RF chip.
oh no, it's the wired remote for htc audio !!
You need the drivers. But the remote only works with wmp.
I thought the wired remote only worked with Audio Manager?
I would like to upgrade to V4 but not if the wired remote will cease to function.
p.s. any O2 users upgraded their radio? does it really SIM lock the phone ??
I have it and it does not work with duttys v4 polaris rom.
On other roms it works fine.
It works with audio manager and with WMP. Someone in another section of xda currently has some buttons working when you use pocketplayer.
All new devices already come with the drivers for this remote.
Older devices like hermes, Trinity etc, they are the ones that need the drivers. If you examine the EXE driver file from HTC, you will see all these names.
My own amateur opinion is that I thought the polaris/cruise came with a certain type of headset, and might have it's own drivers for the headset and not the normal drivers that say the tytn ii or touch have preinstalled.
I have asked dutty about it and he doesnt anything off the top of his head. he might try changing a few things in v4 final editions to see if that changes anything.
P.S. if anyone finds other drivers, and looks at the cabs inside and you see polaris/cruise as one of the cab files.. please let us know! Currently it's all older devices that the cabs are for.
you would think more people have this problem, or use this thing :O

This sounds great, would love to see some screen shots in the first post to see what it looks like.

Yea, I'd like to see here more info and some screenshots.. I don't believe that this is possible, because of complete different hardware.. Being a little sceptic.
I'm not admired that there's a possibility of using WM pro in the VOX...you have something similar on the Startrek (QTEK 8500): link
I will surely like to test it .
But I need to know if this will really work? If you have the ROM and test on your VOX/710, please post some images and scribe a little description about, so that we can analyze before we proceed to test
Sounds very interesting!
They have got WM6.1 Professional ported to the Wings from the Kizer in the Wings forum, maybe that's the place to ask for advice in porting WM6.1 Professional to the Vox http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389089

Pro..
Keep cool, i am not finished with this...and there are no helpfull posts within...
But how do you think to use it without touchscreen?
It will be far from user friendly...
Oh my...believe me, it is useable.
First;
A POCKET PC IS NOT ONLY HIS TOUCHSCREEN!!!
AND A SMARTPHONE IS NOT ONLY A POCKETCAMERA....or anything else than a SmartPhone.
The PRO OS works well on SP, the OS is nearly useable like Standart, (no big differences, you can navigate with dpad+softkeys on ppc, too...)
It is like a PPC with the lack of a Touchscreen, you can carry most of the PPC apps you love, but not be able to install on your Standart-SP...
Most SP-Apps wont install, because there are differences in some Cab-Configs, but most of them works well......and the VOX/WINGS got a qwerty/z Keypad...ideal to use as SIP..
Ive a StarTrak and a Tornado, both are running PRO, i like it, sure, its not useable like a PPC with Touchscreen, but nice to have.
AND DONT FORGET;Smartphones are mostly similar with the PPCHardware (exept the Touchscreen, stop buggin me)
I really hope you get it working sounds great.
especially since I miss one major feature in wm6(.1) standard: WIFI proxy.
it's not possible (as far as I know) to use an http proxy on your wifi connection.. which is a pitty.
if you get it working, I'll most likely install it

There is also Fake Curser that will do the job of the stylus/ finger on a touch screen to close apps and to change to different tabs in apps.
This sounds very prommising if it can be pulled off.

You should be able to boot a Professional from the HTC Wizard since they have the very same hardware, but I don't know if the lcd driver would work.
Anyway, you should know, the Omap 850 cpu has native support for touchscreen, if you can find where the pins connect, you could possibly adapt it (assuming you can find a 2.4" 4 wire touch panel).
Another option would be using the mini-usb jack. The cpu has both client and host side usb support. If it's mapped to the connector, and you can make windows put the usb in host mode you can connect a mouse, touchscreen or whatever you want and use it from there (if you get external power to the device you are connecting)
My vox is still under repair (3rd week already) so cannot test anything yet sorry
i would love to try it...
How long will it be until we see the first test version of this ROM?

Hello,
I am trying to find more information on Manila 3D or Touch Flo 3D and how it this is supposed to work on a phone.
I have installed at least two different types of .CABs and they are different and all all functions are available in both of them. My understanding is that these were ported by different people for their need I guess.
I am trying to do this on non-HTC phone with WVGA screen and I would like to start out with basics on how TF3D is suppose to work and list of requirements of both hardware and software.
I have searched every where and all I am not able to get to the big picture.
Any help is appreciated and many thanks in advance.
I dont know much about Touchflo and how it works, but I am pretty sure that it requires a special touch.dll that is only in newer HTC phones

Thank you for the reply.
I have tested 2 different versions and both of them are working smoothly.
However, some of the functions work in one version and vise verse. Camera, Audio manager.....etc did not work in both versions!!!
That is why I was asking for some help on what TF3D is suppose to do since I never owned a HTC device that has TF3D.
I am hoping some one had it documented in some post. I just can not seem to find it!!!
We are aware of hTC HD 2 a.k.a. hTC Leo that comes with multi-touch support. And this will ruin iPhone supremacy over PPC. It is the only thing PPC lack from iPhone, at least till now.
As a raphael user, I am curious about this feature. Will our raphael can have this feature as well? Is it hardware or software? If it can be enabled by a mere software, I would be very glad and just wait till a chef cooked it on a ROM.
so yea, what do we need to enable it? software or hardware?
50/50 multi touch
the front panel on our raph is multitouch but i havent seen anything on the actual screen being multitouch hasnt been any advances in software just the debug program
sorry to link
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=693
The raphael screen is resistive, as such it cant support multi-touch. Yes, i know there is (i think a guitar hero style game) which spoofs multi-touch. But its only spoof.
The Leo (HD2), as with the iphone, uses a capacative screen which does allow for multi-touch support (its then down to the OS & software to actually use it).
There are advantages to both types of tech, for example you cant use a stylus (or thick gloves) with the capacative screen, but you can have multi-touch.
There is loads more info & technical detail on the forums if you're interested, but if you're just looking for a multi-touch Raph, then i'm afraid the answer is no.
hi!
i'm here to share with you a my idea for an app.
I know there is gremote but my idea is a little bit different...
in my idea the app as 2 installer, obviously, but the pc-side also install a virtual touchpad device, multitouch compatible (if is should be possible emulate a synaptics device we should can use their sw to manage gestures)
in this way we have a "full" multitouch touchpad
another feature is the possibility to rotate manually or with g-sensor the touchpad orientation.
what do you think about it? with our hd2 and a windows7 pc i think it should be awesome!
looking for that too ...

You just described GRemote Pro...
Pfffff...
Nope ...
we are talking about multitouch input here...
dont consider everybody but you is stupid , we are on a mature forum isnt it
something windows 7 can recognize as multitouch input for the os
to play with this
windows 7 touch pack:

gremote it's similar but different...
gremote doesn't support multitouch
gremote doesn't install a driver and delegates gestures to the OS but has it's own gesture...
so lonely ...
i think our only hope can be an update from gbmsoftware...
in deep space nobody hear you screaming ...
Still dreaming of this being developed... Would be so great to be able to use my phone as a touchpad for my computer while use my television as a computerscreen
If you are not looking for multitouch ,"Gremote" is perfect as secondary touchpad.
