[IDEA] PDA Touchscreen as remote touchpad - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

hi!
i'm here to share with you a my idea for an app.
I know there is gremote but my idea is a little bit different...
in my idea the app as 2 installer, obviously, but the pc-side also install a virtual touchpad device, multitouch compatible (if is should be possible emulate a synaptics device we should can use their sw to manage gestures)
in this way we have a "full" multitouch touchpad
another feature is the possibility to rotate manually or with g-sensor the touchpad orientation.
what do you think about it? with our hd2 and a windows7 pc i think it should be awesome!

looking for that too ...

You just described GRemote Pro...

Pfffff...
Nope ...
we are talking about multitouch input here...
dont consider everybody but you is stupid , we are on a mature forum isnt it
something windows 7 can recognize as multitouch input for the os
to play with this
windows 7 touch pack:
http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windows7/archive/2010/04/21/microsoft-touch-pack-for-windows-7-now-available.aspx

gremote it's similar but different...
gremote doesn't support multitouch
gremote doesn't install a driver and delegates gestures to the OS but has it's own gesture...

so lonely ...
i think our only hope can be an update from gbmsoftware...
in deep space nobody hear you screaming ...

Still dreaming of this being developed... Would be so great to be able to use my phone as a touchpad for my computer while use my television as a computerscreen

If you are not looking for multitouch ,"Gremote" is perfect as secondary touchpad.

TouchPad in Raphael as Mouse-Control?

Hi everyone.
I have my new Touch Pro and i saw it have a "full" TouchPad under the Screen.
My question is, might it be possible to display a Mouse-courser and control it with this TouchPad?
I dont know if this is usefull.
Badly i never coded for Windows Mobile, so is someone thinking this would be a nice application and want to code something like this?
Maybe if i get this damn Microsoft Visual Express Edition running, i will try something myself.
//Edit: just like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpKQOP9LJRU
It's a good idea, the touchpad is even multi-touch capable...
hate it on i900...
could be more interesting on touch pro/diamond, since the surface is larger
Hi everyone Im using remote touch for this. take a look at that freeware on this site here. as it is a beta there is no further guide on how to use this tool. anyway figure it out for yourself. it works for me, not always but it does most of the time.
have fun
hm.
maybe you did not understand me or i dont know if remote touch can control a mouse on your PocketPC and not on your Desktop PC.
best look at the movie in my first post to get a impression how i was thinking for a use of this touchPad.
Yes, like Samsung-i900 (Omnia). It's possible?
i think it is possible (but i am really new in WinCE developing).
I have finaly succesfully installed an IDE on my Work-PC.
And i think i also found somethink to move the "mouse".
Now i only need to install the IDE on my Home PC, loading DLLs into the program and i need to look into the SDK for the TouchPad. (Badly i have read that it has only one event that reads the rotations? this would be bad.)
Of course it would be faster if someone that is a lot more experienced in WinCE developing would try it.
Hello, I was the first one to come up with this idea. Check it out here:

Is it possible to make the area around the Dpad as touch buttons (touching the up button = pressing the up button, etc)? Since the Dpad is hard to press, it makes some games kinda unplayable...

My Mobiler alternative?

For some reason, I can't use my keyboard to input any data through My Mobiler, nor can I use the copy/paste feature. My keyboard only works on the home screen for dialling numbers!?
So basically, is there another way to connect to my Vox (6.1) using my PC?
Is there a VNC server for the phone?
Shame My Mobiler doesn't work. It's great to use, but keyboard input is my main concern.
A program called True connect works perfectly but it's ugly and costs £15!!
Thanks
I'm having the same issue as well on a HTC S620... Seems to not work on keyboard input

Could you add Celio Redfly Desktop Mobile Viewer Beta to your comparison list, please? I don't know if it is worthwhile but as you are a pro in this field and pride yourself in doing this sort of testing, if only for the sake of thoroughness ... it would satiate my curiosity.
Thanks,
Wovens

Started testing it. So far, looks VERY cool.
I'm having a problem with the mute, I manually muted my phone (on the touch pad) and later I un-muted it with the mouse by clicking on the my mobiler display and now my phone is stuck with the speaker off, if I answer a call I can't hear anything (but they can hear me). Any suggestions on how to fix this? I really need help.

Post all "multi-touch" appz here

TO the developers or HD2 future owners, can you put all the multitouch appz in this thread please so others can use them!
Thanks you
there's a registry entry that lists all enabled apps
Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SmartTouch] (according to l3v5y)
Here is a picture of that registry entry of a pre-release HD2:

i just wanna know if there is any way to find out/exploit the coding to the multitouch
Multitouch apps
Good post.
A wiki perhaps?

If someone knows how to know an app's ClassName, we can enable MultiTouch in whichever app we want.
I'm trying to enable it in Opera Mobile 10 Beta now!

By the way pocket ie was really multi touch in an older beta rom (1.30) ...
I'm thinking on this.
The HTC HD2 is the FIRST MultiTouch device with Windows Mobile.. it doesn't sound nothing to you?
We're having a device that is revolutioning the PocketPC experience and for now even the OS doesn't support natively MultiTouch features, as the MT features will be included in Windows Mobile 7...
...so, no one has developed any MT app because the first WM device supporting this is the HD2 and ONLY the HD2!
The apps that are MT capable (Opera.) are developed only because of HTC that had to ship the HD2 and had to PREVIEW to us the MT features that we'll get with the WM7 ROM...
I think we only have to wait..
Maybe I find a way to use it in my own .NET apps
SciLor's Fuelblaster Graph with Zoom would be priceless
Google Maps is multi touch (downloaded on m.google.com/maps)
(seems to be hardcoded in smarttouch.dll)

anyone know how to make multi touch in Opera10 beta?

FpseCE 0.10 now support both MSI BGP100 bluetooth gamepad and G-sensor on the HD2!

New updates are availiable for those who have the "supporter version" (i.e. those who donated)
=> G-sensor now works on the HD2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOcvM8bHiZM
This video shows a TG01, but the G-sensor is activated the same way on the HD2
=> The MSI BGP100 bluetooth gamepad is now working with FpseCE, without any thirs party driver, just pair your BGP100 to your HD2 and start FpseCE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_667zwB3nLE
A very big thanks to Ben86 and his good advices that made this fix possible earlier than forecasted!
awsome let the party begin
at last
OMG.....
It's time to visit ebay...
Great news, you're amazing guys...
i900frenchaddict => super ce truc, tu l'as acheté ou ?
good stuff ! where do you bought it ?
really nice stuff.
Is it possible for fpsece to handle two buttons being pressed at the same time then?

How we can enable the G-sensor?
Truly amazing, will probably donate, thank you for all of your hard work over there! Now it doesn't matter that the onscreen buttons don't come up in Tekken if I can use a bluetooth controller !! Pretty damn excited!!
EDIT: just bought the bluetooth gamepad. iFrench, if I donate now is it too late to download the updated version? Also does it require an install from scratch (i.e copying over BIOS files and game imgs again?)
Where do I get the supported version?

Sorry, I forgot to make a video with the HD2, but you can watch this one, with the TG01, the G-sensor is activated the same way. Just the one of HTC is more accurate!

Note that these two updates, G-sensor and MSI BGP100 are avaliable for those who have the supporter version (so who donated), they have recieved it today in their mailbox, or will tomorrow if they have not recieve it yet
The free version will be updated too, but only once multitouch is implemented
iFrench, I think you missed my question in my last post, probably as I was editing it
nice one!!!

Well got the full one. Now to setup that G -S.
Let's hope it works fine in GTA 2
anyone with gamepad can confirm that multitouch works? thanks
So yes, if you donate now, the version you'll get will be the very last one, so G-sensor and MSI BGP100 compatible on the HD2
And you'll keep all your savec games, config, iso, etc, it will only replace the fpse.exe
@20mihalko What do you mean exactly? If you can press 2 buttons of the gamepad at the same time, so multikey? If it's your question, the answer is YES, I've tried up to 4 buttons at the same time, maybe more can work but I don't have a game that uses more than 4 buttons at the same time^^
It also works when you press many buttons and release only one, there's a key sent for "press" and another one for "release"
In short, it works like a perfect gamepad XD
Is it just me or is my G-Sensor a odd ball?
Left is Right, Right is Left, Up is Down and Down is Up!!
Just donated

Hey Frenchaddict
I've been following the fpsece threads since you started posting on modaco about this.
I now have my HD2 and thank god fpsece is now out
However, I am having reall problems getting the on screen overlays to show at all.
I have followed your videos but what ever i do they do not show up.
Also, whilst following your video for setting them up you click at the bottom of the psx controller and it moves down to show the analogue sticks and this is where you press the PSP icon.
My 1.0 version doesnt have that .. the PSP icon is to the left.
Please can you help me get this awesome piece of software working
Cheeers,

SuperMarioBros HD2 game demo (1 long full level)

Ok its been tested and working fine. Only issue is single-touch controls otherwise its a very fun filled game to play on your HD2 device. I will make a longer version in the future. I also place my full version of bongy adventure in this forum. I had programmed for HD for past year now Iam moving here. I look forward to working with the ladies and gentlemen here.
Hey Zarpy, It works quite well but doesn't support multi touch
the buttons are a little larger than they need to be on the hd2 but its looks amazing at the moment.
Cheers for the awesome work in game development.
Hi - This game does work on the HD2, just a suggestion but if you were making a full version multitouch would be benificial to add..
For running and junping together ect. would make it alot more playable,
Hope this helped.
buttons and touch
Ok thanks for the feedback as I didnt have the phone to test it on.
I can fix the buttons and resize them to be smaller. The problem is multi-touch which is a phone issue. Customers complained to to Microsoft about resistive screens. Microsoft said that HD2 would be multi-touch but I guess not. Now thier saying windows phone7 will have multi-touch but now based on the answers here I find it hard to believe. Thank you for the feedback so should I continue to add more levels?
Not without multi touch, HD2 definitely is capable of it.

HDwobble2 is multitouch HERE
As well as FPSECE, most of multitouch apps for Leo are using HTCAlbum hack.
The multitouch part has nothing to do with windows mobile Actually windows mobile 6.5 doesn't support capacitive screens, and HTC had to write the code for it to work themselves. If you want to add multitouch to your program you must therefore use their API, which I believe is lying around somewhere on the forum

LMT's controller mode has shown the HD2 has multi-touch so it's not a hardware limitation. I have used it playing Crash Bandicoot on FPSEce and it works perfectly.

Alright thanks for the feedback. As of now Iam running the touchpro2 which is not the same as HD2. I see what I can do to add multi-touch . The problem for me is I dont use visual studios , I use game editor. You see more of me I will make some really cool free games for everyone to enjoy.
