I'm trying to upgrade my Tytn II thats from Malaysia with the newest WM 6.1 update that is found on the HTC E-Club for Malaysia and unfortunately I am not able to log in to the site. I created quite a few different email accounts to log in with, and none of them have received any confirmation emails to allow me to log in. Can anyone help me out?
u hv to register using ur device IMEI/serial no.
but u can get it easily if u hv a few minutes to find it in wiki.
I did register, I have been waiting 2 days for a confirmation email to actually activate the account. Thats why im tryin to find another means of getting it.

After flashing the Most Beautiful Edition of WM6 to my Wizard I tried installing the T-mobile Triggers Push Mail app which has always worked for me in the past on WM5 builds from Molski and Faria, but on the WM6 build it doesn't seem to be catching the SMS's and parsing them.
Has anyone else been successful with the T-mobile Triggers app and WM6?
It seems to have worked for me then stopped working. What cab's are you using?
CAB?
Aloha!
I am looking for the CAB file for T-Mobile Email Triggers. Anyone?
Faria WM6 RT
Cheers!

VPN and WAP settings cabs on FTP
There are VPN and WAP cabs on the FTP. Do a search. I think Dr. Puttingham posted a link to a zip file you will find useful.
Hey guys! I hope this helps!

Thank you! Will give this a shot on Faria WM6 RT
Did that file work for anybody with WM6? I was unable to get the cab that I had for Tmobile email notification to work with the Faria WM6 build. Right now I'm using port88.org to get push mail service. But unforunatly, my company proxy appears to block the service and so when I try to activesync my contacts/calendar to my Thinkpad, it just sits and never finishes syncing. So I would rather go back to getting my mail via the tmobile push since it at least worked!

Hi Paladin27,
I do have this working on Farias Rom. I downloaded and installed the CAB above. Turned of "Pickup E-Mail Every X" minutes in the E-mail Settings for the accounts I configured on My T-Mobile.com. I next made sure that My eMail Triggers were enabled on the my device. Then I made sure that E-Mail Alerts were enabled on My T-Mobile.com.
The last part I think is the key.
Hope this helps.
the triggers are working for me too. i am running the mun_aRTM rom on tmobile usa with 2.69 radio. the emails are arriving on my phone anywhere from 10 - 15 minutes after the email was sent...

I installed it and it worked briefly... Now I keep getting the 'trigger' SMS's from 701. I'll fiddle with it some more but I haven't had much luck so far. This is on WM6 MB.

Hi,
Having used my MDA Vario II as my only source of email for the last couple of months while my PC was being rebuilt to send and receive via pop3 I have one small query.
I left copies of the mail I received on the mail servers so I can collect that via Outlook without issue, but is there anyway I can get the sent items from my POP3 mailbox on my phone into Outlook on my PC ?
Maybe via some sort of export tool ?
Thanks for reading, I hope it's clear what I am after.
Dave
No-one knows how this can be done ?

Windows Mobile 6.1 SMTP issues

Do you have a Windows Mobile 6.1 powered device and use either POP3 or IMAP4 with SMTP? Have you encountered problems sending email or seen the error message below?
If the answer to either of the questions above is yes then read on as what you are seeing is actually a bug that affects all WM 6.1 powered handsets!
Background
I first discovered this problem a few months ago while using my HTC TyTN II. I have access to two Exchange servers but, as you'll probably know, you can only set up one Exchange activesync partnership per device. So for the other account I have to use IMAP4 and send over SMTP.
I've been using the setup for about 18 months and it works perfectly well for me, well until HTC released the WM 6.1 update for the TyTN II it did.
I installed the 6.1 update on the TyTN II and set up my Exchange and IMAP4 accounts. Was able to receive email with both accounts, no problem. All was well until I tried to send an email from my IMAP4 account (through SMTP). Upon trying to send mail I simply got presented with the error message above. I checked the account settings, they were all correct, but still unable to send mail.
I then restored the original WM 6.0 ROM to the TyTN II and the problem went away! This lead me to think that there was a problem with HTC's implementation of the 6.1 ROM. However later test revealed this to not be the case.
I set up my IMAP4 email on my new HTC Touch Diamond and was able to send one email, but subsequent emails then failed with the same error message. Deleting and recreating the account allowed me to send one or two more emails before it then failed again. One sending failed the account never works again!
So I contacted one of our friends at Microsoft to try and work through the problem.
Having worked with the guys at Microsoft for the past 6 weeks or so (including the top Outlook Mobile chap in the US) and having sent them my TyTN II to test we have discovered the following bug affecting ALL Windows Mobile 6.1 devices.
You can see more in the email excerpt from Microsoft below:
We are done with it and just checked in a bug fix last week to address what turned out to be a severe product bug that will affect all WM 6.1.x devices until they receive a fix or upgrade to WM 6.1.4. Your help both made us aware of the issue before it bubbled up through the forums and your device actually did help us debug the issue.
We are driving the issue with our response team and pushing to make a fix more broadly available independent of a device update.
More details on this bug:
Symptoms:
At some point sending e-mail stops working for a given e-mail account.
This will happen if the there is *any* failure to connect to the SMTP server – ever. After that point the user cannot send mail with that account again.
Recovery:
The user must delete their e-mail account and recreate it each time this happens.
There is no way to prevent this from reoccurring.
So as you can see, the problem is pretty severe and affects all devices with WM 6.1. The work around, if you can call it that, is to delete the affected account and recreate it.
I also suspect that this bug is related to the problem that many people report with GMail on their mobile and the reason why you must delete and recreate an email account if any of the account credentials change.
Microsoft are working on the problem at the moment and are hoping to make an independent update available. Let's hope that it will be available in that format rather than part of a full ROM update as I suspect that it will take time to filter through the manufacturers and the operator supply channels.
If you are affected by this issue then do drop me a line and I'll endeavour to keep you updated with the progress of the fix.
EDIT: Please see this post for a potential fix to the problem!

as sais i tried all patches and fixes suggested still no result on my xperia x1 . upto now i noticed one time that my kpnplanet dutch account has sent my outbox. after a reboot/ system hang
is microsoft having a future update coming? i have spent many houjrs getting it to work..unfortunately without result yet...
tx for any advice
Are there any updates relating to this issue? I too was recently affected by this bug and it is very annoying.
Hey all,
I have a HTC Touch phone through Bell and have my hotmail account setup on it to receive emails from my account. The problem I am having is that it will only allow me to see the latest 50 emails.
Does anyone know how to change this value? Is there a registry hack/setting/etc that can be changed?
I saw one "solution", which was setting up your account through outlook instead, but then there isn't push, and that's why I use it.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
There is no solution to this as far as i am aware. I am using a different client to push hotmail to my trinity and had the same issue. All i could see was the top 50 messages in my inbox, as newer ones were deleted then older ones would synch across. Checking with them it was confirmed that the 50 message limit was imposed by Microsoft.
help
i am Sooooooo frustrated.
i thought i finally found the answer to my problems in windows live.
My wm6.1 phone is SOOOOOO unreliable when i need it to download/send emails.
I set up a hotmail account and configured windows live on my phone only to find out that i can only SEE MY LATEST 50 EMAILS!!!
WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS?!?!?!?!?
They create a solution to smtp/imap/pop3 problems in windows live and then they make it unusable for ANYONE!
What other solutions are available?
I will never purchase another windows mobile phone again. Apparently this has been a problem for a long time and they have yet to address it...
ugh

This isn't a windows mobile problem but a MS Live problem.
I have an Qtek S200 for several years and I bought it legally. All the software and applications I have are legal and I got them with the PDA.
I use Pocket MSN every day to chek my mail (hotmail). Suddenly 2 days ago I'm no longer allowed to log and I receive a message that there was a fault when initiating session.
I don't know how to solve this nor where I can get Pocket MSN download.
Anyone to help me.
