What is your Radio version?? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all, just to get an idea of which radio versions there are out there currently being used could you post your version like the following:
-------------------------------------------
Raphael Model: HTC Touch Pro

Comments: GSM reception is good
3G reception is fine
-------------------------------------------
Obviously that is an example, to get your radio version go to start>settings>system(tab)>device information.
Keep this thread clean please it will help to figure out what the pattern is if there are any common issues.
EDIT (21-08-08): OK looks so far to be only one radio version currently being used (1.02.25.19), keep the thread going people so we can see further.

GSM reception is equivilent to my Hermes with radio 1.54.30.10 (Same number of bars showing in my main static positions.)
3G seems just a tiny bit weaker, judging by when the icon changes from 'G' to '3G'
(Speed in central London is about 1144 kbit/sec)

3G reception is awful
But in the Netherland there's an issue with 3G network.
They've confessed the network is poor, so can't blame it on the Pro (yet).

Comments: GSM reception is excellent,
3G reception cannot be tested, but hopefully soon!

Mine is like the rest

Same again...

So far everything seems bearable. I have noticed a couple of times today (I only got the phone this morning) that the phone icon was searching, but everything seems to be working ok...

Not played a lot with it today but from the browsing, email sync and YouTube, it seems fine.

Raphael Model: HTC Touch Pro
Radio version: 1.02.25.19
Location: West London, near Heathrow
I have now tried three different sim cards in the Touch Pro!
T-Mobile:
GSM reception is good at home and in the local area
3G reception is good at home and ok in the local area
O2:
GSM reception is excellent at home and good in the local area
3G reception is poor at home and in the local area
Vodafone: (Have not left home with the Vodafone sim yet, and don't intend to)
GSM & 3G reception are both excellent
Further notes:
O2 has Edge on it's GSM network, T-Mobile is GPRS only.
O2 and T-Mobile signals are both better in my Hermes.
Calls drop quite often when on 3G network. I tend to leave it on GSM and only change to 3G when necessary for this reason.

GSM speech quality is superb
3G reception is excellent much better than my Hermes

Nicely posted people, so far got some good indications of certain things:
Where available the 3G signal doesnt seem to be as strong as on earlier devices, HOWEVER this is only indicated by the bars shown which may not be the same as on another device? I.e 1 bar on the Hermes may be say 10db?? but one bar on the Raphael could be 20db?? we just dont know tbh...a test with the fieldtest program would be a good idea. Also if somebody manages to dig up the FCC report on the RAPH10000 then we might see some comments in there??
currently only a single radio version being used, 1.02.25.19.......there is a newer radio out there 1.02.25.31 however dont try flashing it YET...best to wait til HardSPL is available incase anything goes wrong (weve spent alot on these so dont wanna kill them easy).
keep posting people, i'll post the details from my raphael when i get it this week.

Proof that JAM radio 850mhz is firmware Based?

OK, I've got two JAM's (backup for my boss in case he loses his, no joke, a definite possibility), so I've got the luxury of doing some playing with the spare. These are both 900/1800/1900mhz versions of the JAM bought before the 850mhz version was even available.
I was installing various radios (1.01, 1.05, 1.10, 1.11) seeing which is best. See xda-developers for instructions. I've got T-mobile sims in both JAMs.
I installed 1.10 radio (850mhz version) on the spare JAM, and I liked the speed with which it acquired a signal. Also the signal seemed to hold slightly better in my office, than the 1.05 radio version on my JAM, with both side-by-side.
So I do a little network check, by manually checking for available networks between the two sitting side-by-side. Well the 1.10 radio pops up and gives T-mobile and Cingular as options. And the 1.05 radio pops up with T-mobile and AT&T wireless only. Now I'm pretty sure Cingular in my area is only 850mhz, which would seem to be confirmed by this little test. Of course I can't connect to it, as the sim is T-mobile.
So I go get a Cingular sim from an employee, and pop it in the 1.10 radio JAM and do the manual network check, and Cingular and T-mobile again pop up as options. I pick Cingular and walaa, it connects with about 3 bars. I can make and receive phone calls. The upper right corner of the phone pad says Cingular as well. I then remove the Cingular sim and pop it in my 1.05 radio JAM. I do the manual network check and the only options which appear are AT&T wireless and T-mobile. I can connect to AT&T wireless but have only one bar.
So to recap, I put the Cingular sim in the 1.10 radio JAM (850mhz radio on device which is supposedly only 900/1800/1900mhz) and I can connect to Cingular. I put the Cingular sim in the 1.05 radio JAM (900/1800/1900mhz radio and device) and I can only connect to AT&T wireless not Cingular (it says AT&T wireless in upper right corner of phone pad).
To me, this means that the 900/1800/1900mhz JAM is really 850/900/1800/1900mhz (quad band) but only crippled to tri-band by the radio firmware. Am I all wet here?
edit- my model numbe is PM10A which is supposedly the 900/1800/1900 version.
What a great news!!! I am updating my only my radio image to 1.10 (w/ Chinese Dopod 818 1.06 for the OS) and see how it goes.

Apparently you could damage your GSM radio so that it might malfunction. However, I have seen a few people here who've used the 1.10 radio firmware without adverse results. Anyone have any more feedback?
Calling All Magician Experts, How to convert Jam 850 MHz to

Software problem. Many of us are waiting for HTC to finally release a decent radio ROM with stable 3G support.

hTC Touch Pro GSM to GSM+CDMA?

Hello. Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but I KNOW THAT IT COLD BE MADE, but i actually cannot find any relevant results on google or here @ xda-dev's. I actually am from the Czech Republic and i own hTC Raphael.
Environment:
There are following operators:
*GSM:
× Telefónica O2 Czech Republic (GSM+3G+UMTS) (CDMA: Data only)
× T-Mobile Czech Republic (GSM+UMTS+3G) (CDMA: Data only)
× Vodafone Czech Republic (N/A)
*CDMA:
× U:fon (CDMA for everything)
I am the customer of Telefónica O2, but im my house is not a good GSM signal, but there is a full (92%) signal for CDMA (metering via U:fon CDMA modem). U:fon does supports CDMA phones. U:fon is the network like Sprint.
Raphael:
As i read somewhere, CDMA and GSM versions of Raphael are the same radio hardwares, but the different firmwares. CDMA has the GSM blocked and GSM has the CDMA locked. It's only about reflashing the firmware to "change the gender" from GSM to CDMA and vice versa.
What i want from the PDA:
I want to flash the firmware or overwrite some blocks inside to unlock the CDMA part of the firmware to get CDMA to work.
What i want from YOU:
I'd like somebody to tell me how to reflash the radio firmware NOT the radio ROM. It will be very very good. THX @ 2 all who can help me to my new CDMA/GSM/COMBO Raphael.
WCDMA != old CDMA
WCDMA is just another name for umts
never have I come across a gsm device from htc which could in any way be changed
to do CDMA or even change to other frequencies like 850Mhz if they did not come with the hardware support
CDMA is pretty limited from htc
doubt they would get a radio chip which would support a lot
of features and then turn off most of them
I hear the Touch Pro 2 will have both CDMA and GSM.

Yes, i understand, but is here a way to reflash Raphael radio with radio from CDMA-enabled phone? I think like flashing FUZE 2 AT&T and vice versa...
There is no way.
O'Sh*t, bud doesn't matter... THX a lot...

You should just get the HTC Twin (Tachi). That has both CDMA & GSM radios included.

[Q] HTC HD2 T9193 TELSTRA to ANDROID, Question about 850 BAND

Hi... Im from Costa Rica, our unique phone provider here (ICE) works with 850 band for 3G, which is the same as the Australian and AT&T as you know, so I had to buy my HD2 in the T9193 version. I found that windows really sucks, so I decided to change it to Android, I watched videos and read a lot, finally I succesfully did it and it's working just fine. But now, when I try to change it to 3G it doesn't work, I just realized that when I get into the phone Identity on Windows it says:
Model No
HTC HD2 T8585
Then on software information:
OS:
5.2.23152 (23152.5.3.12)
Manilla version
2.5.20191914.0
Rom Version
Dutty´s HD2 FAM ROM (V13a) WWE
ROM Date
25/12/2010
Radio Version
2.14.50.04
Protocol Version
15.42.50.09U
and when I try to change to 3G it says
Band Frequency
Auto
GSM (900+1800)+UMTS(2100+900)
GSM(1900+850)
UMTS(2100+900)
Looks like the Rom that I downloaded and installed in order to be able to change it to android changed the T9193 settings and the 850 Frequency is no longer supported. Here are my questions:
#1- Do I have a T8585 now?
#2- Do I have to change the rom back to Telstra to make it work on 3G?
And then when Im on Android Im totally lost. I tryed to find where to change the settings to get 3G but it only says:
Network Mode
WCDMA only
GSM Only
GSM/WCDMA auto
This is the Android version I installed:
Model Number
HTC Desire HD A9191
Android Version
2.2
#3- How or where can I change or find 3G on Android?
#4- Please tell me what to do so I can run android, and use 3G on a 850 frequency since I bought the Telstra T9193 version please.
Last question is:
#5- Is the band Frequency a software issue or a hardware issue?
First 2 questions are for Windows, the #3 and #4 are for Android. Last one is a general question.
I will really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance...

[Q] HTC HD7 3G radio

Hi, I new in this so let see.
I have a new T-mobile HD7, and I just updated to NoDo(telstra).
but What I really wanna know is if I can change the Radio to get 3G with orange in Dominican Republic on the 900 band, right now I only get EDGE.
Phone Info:
Name: HTC HD7
Model: HTC T9296
OS version: 7.0.7389.0
Firmware revision number:2250.10.22002.841
Hardware revision number:0002
Radio software version: 5.65.09.11_22.44.50.15U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 1.54.2250.0(112696)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
any suggestions or comments are welcome.
software changes won't pick up what your phone cannot see. If the phone's hardware radio cannot see that 3g band, then you won't be able to use it.
them, how can I see which bands my phone can see? because it looks like T-mobile HD7 does't support all the bands that HTC show in the Web.
The HTC HD7 doesnt actually support all the bands of HTC
The HTC HD7 T9295 and the HD7S supports UMTS850/1900/2100
The HTC HD7 T9292 supports UMTS 900/2100
The HTC HD7 T9296, supports UMTS 850/2100
for other UMTS850 high-end devices, see my signature
Best regards

hey, are you really sure that the T9296, supports UMTS 850?
Almost (95%). But u can find this data in some australian forums, such as
http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1552579
Your T-Mobile-U.S. HD7 seems to show "T9296" only for the Telstra NoDo Upate (as when you flash your device, the original device information is owerwritten, although the radio bands are not altered, because these are hardware-dependant)
Another fact, is that I´ve NEVER seen TMoUS HTC devices with "T" or "A" nomenclature (such as T9193, A8182...)
If you want to use an HD7 in 3G in Dominican Republic, I Think you must:
-Use an HD7 T9292 (European, including T-Mobile Europe) in Orange D.R.
-Use an HD7 T9295 (American) in Claro D.R.
(or eventually use an REAL T9296 there, but ONLY in case if Claro D.R. uses ONLY 3G-850; and NOT 3G-1900)
-Not Sure for Trilogy, but an HD7 T9295 must work in 3G (if Trilogy has 3G in 1900 or 850MHz)
Best regards
..
Nice to meet you
I'm Fabio from Italia
I have bought HD7 in states.. i follow on XDA the flashing process of the NoDo unbranded ROM:
RUU_Schubert_TMOUS_2.20.841.02_Radio_5.65.09.11a_2 2.44.50.15_NoDo
Now my phone information are :
OS version: 7.0.7389.0
Firmware revision number 2250.10.22002.841
Hardware revision number : 0002
Radio software version : 5.65.09.11_22-44-50-15U
Radio hardware version : A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version : 1.54.2250.0 (112696)
Chip SOC version : 2.2.5.0
i think that all goes OK but now i have a question
Can i flashed to European Version to let my hd7 speak italian language too ??
which rom I must unload ?
Thanks a lot .. Fabio
AT&T HTC HD7S T9295 3G support in European Union
Can I flash radio from european HTC HD7 T9292 to my AT&T HTC HD7S T9295 for UMTS 900/2100 support? (Original radio from AT&T HTC HD7S T9295 supports only UMTS850/1900, so 3G doesn't work in EU)
First question: Why is this thread in the OS-wide forum at all? It belongs in the HD7 forum.
Second, no @simploid, you cannot (or at least should not). The HD7 and HD7S are not the same device; there's enough difference that a ROM for one will not work entirely correctly on the other.
I have an HTC T9295 bought in the US, currently used in India. Im able to connect only through Edge and not 3G. I have tried various operators, still no use. Can anyone suggest me how to get 3G for my mobile. OS is Win 7.5
Use the Connection Setup app on the phone, and make sure you select the right carrier (it may auto-detect, but if it does, make sure it's correct).
Also, be aware that the US version of the HD7, which is intended for T-Mobile US's network, may not use the same 3G bands as your operator. There are at least 4 radio frequency bands commonly used for 3G, but most phones support only a subset of them and most carriers only use a subset of them. If those two subsets don't overlap, then you can't get 3G unless you either switch phones or switch carriers.
Then there's no hope for us to get 3g on htc hd7 if you bought a phone in a different country with different band lol
