[no java emulation chatter plz] Symbian emulator, anyone ? - HTC Vox

hello.
is there any emulator or such to run symbian games on windows smartphone (Vox/S710) ?
thanks in advance

that would be cool, but the vox runs java games perfectly

You're right 128MB... I had a Nokia N73 (Symbian S60, 3rd Edition) device before the HTC S710 and infact my Vox runs java games better than they ever ran on my N73 thanks to JBED 3D Mod.
Every S60 3rd Edition j2me game I throw at it runs amazingly well and fast
It would be cool if it could run .sis/.sisx games though, but I doubt it'll ever happen on a wm device.

I had about 15 games installed in my vox and i it slowed down a lot :s i removed them and the phone runs fast again.
Why does it do that? cant i install the games on my sd card? i can only select the root folder.

Yes, get JBED 3D Mod, it can be installed to storage card and all java games/apps will be installed to card aswell

damn maybe i should re-name the thread 'how many ppl can run java games on vox?'
please do not hi-jack this thread

Dude, cool it. There is no Symbian emulator. Happy?

well, i don't know about how its done here but at all other forums hi-jacking is taken pretty seriously

It was just a little bit off topic. And there are usually no moderators around here anyway. I only know of a Palm emulator, but no Symbian.

SPV E100 and XDA II

Greetings! I'm just new here and i haven't got an xda yet but im planning to get one soon as i finally found a forum where i can read alot of information on how to use it and great people to assist/help when i need one.
guys, may i know if the applications that work with my spv e100 (manufactured by HTC too) will be compatible with the XDA II? like the smart explorer or resco, World Time and other games perhaps? thanks very much!
manny
No, Smartphone apps are not compatible with PocketPC.
Thank you, griffog for that prompt reply. Any idea where to download free apps for xda2?
http://www.freewareppc.com
or open google and type pocketpc freeware then you should get a whole pile of sites
yah, smartphone apps are not fully compatible wid xda2, but som do run perfectly like tiny ebook reader, betaplayer, mobipocket, town compass, bdicty, pocket stars nd others. some games run but u wud find it hard to control, problem wid d interface, wasnt written for touch screen
Some applications may run.
yes, some applications will run on both e100 and XDA 2, are you a member of airfagev? well, he things i tested that runs are Pocket TV(but there is a free PPC version), SmartNES (but there is PocketNES and other PPC versions), Many games, but will only display on a portion of your XDA screen.
get in touch. PM me so we may pool our resources along with other KABABAYANS near us.
Got my XDA from SMART after much hassle and bleeding.
Im a previous e100 user too and migrating to XDA 2 is no problem.
thanks
Thank you, ill sure try that website.

Anyone have an emulator that will run old Atari games?

I have a disc with a bunch of old 8 bit video games that I'd love to run on my PPC. (Tempest in particular for my P3300) I found one link to some freeware but it didn't work. Anyone done this?

google for a site that offers ppcwarez. This is a Development and Hacking forum...I suggest that not related questions should be posted in the off-topic or general forums.

Of Chopper Fight, did you try the normal or the GL ES (2700G) version? Try the former. (Mini jetfight only has one version; therefore, it should run.)
Also, give a try to other games. (BTW, OmniGSoft's games aren't very good if you ask me - you may want to look at elsewhere for considerably better titles. See my related game reviews.)

TAO Intent MIDlet Manager 11.1.x and a newer version of Jblend. They, however, can't run several device-specific games.

Numpty Physics for WinMobile

Hi all,
I've managed to port Numpty Physics to WindowsMobile devices. It works fine with Asus MyPal A696 and the emulator. Only QVGA version.
"return" button should undo the last stroke, some of the application buttons should pause the game, rest of them should exit the game. You can move to the next level with left/right. Some additional levels can be found on the internet.
Cheers!
The Numpty Physics2 file should is working on HTC Touch Diamond which has Qualcomm chipset, maybe it'll work for you guys with "Not a valid pocket PC application"
works on an artemis ;-)
How the heck do I uninstall this? FOr the joy of it, I tried, it installed, then said it wasn't a valid pocket pc app. I go to remove programs, and it's not in the list of programs...
Can just install the .cab as usual and it's supposed to work?
Just checking as you mention 'and the emulator' in your post.
And if i need an emulator, which one and where can i get it?
Uninstallation works for me on the emulator... I've just packaged the binaries to .cab. You can just delete the folder Program Files\numptyphysics.
The whole game should work "out of the box".

You don't need it, it's compiled for Windows Mobile. The emulator is a PC application which simulates Pocket PC device, it comes with Visual Studio.

hmm, i don't know... i've compiled it for ARM9 and QVGA. i've only tried it on windows mobile 6 installed to main memory.
Well, As I said, I have it running on my artemis with 6.1 and it is freakishly addictive.

Doesn't work on the AT&T Fuze. Says "Game.exe is not a valid Pocket PC Application."
Too bad... I love Crayon Physics and would play this all the time if I could get it on my Fuze!
Oh...this is wrong!!! SO WRONG!!!! I loaded it on a wm 5.0 Pharos Gps 525, and it works just fine!!
It works on my Uni without overclocking but it eventually gets too slow as we draw and after a while I cannot get circles any more. Very nice but is it really based in real physics? Who cares? It is fun! Cheers.

I think the problem is that Fuze does have Qualcomm processor and the game is compiled for ARM. I am not sure if I can compile it for that CPU, I will check on Monday.
I have installed and tested on a HTC Himalaya running WM6.1 and it works perfectly, and also appears in the "Remove Programs" directory.
Good work! I see there is also a port on the actual Numpty Physics website as well.
Working on my htc blue angel like a charm.
I get the: " 'Game' is not a valid Pocket PC application." error as well. Too bad, but thanks anyway cthulu. I have a Kaiser (TyTN II) btw.
Dave
haha. great stuff
thanks
Works fine on the Kaiser.
Love it, thanks.

emulator

I really want some nice games, that are funny. sorry to say but the iphone has alot wich i like... everything else this phone rules!
and i know we have some nice ones like psx emulator and gamesofts game that are cool..
i saw iphone emulator for pc.. wouldnt it be possible to use that emulator to
play games on our hd2?
Nope, there is no iPhone OS emulator for Windows Mobile.
More and more successful games from this platform come to our platform, most recently, I saw a beta version of Doodle Jump...
Time will show how the creators of such brilliant entertainment software find their way to another platform. After all, if they think commercial, they will expand their business to Android (most likely) and maybe some to WinMo 6.x, too, but I expect more to come to the next generation of Windows Phone.
