Are there any software programs out there, that you are aware of, that will allow me to automate SMS text forwarding?
In other words, I want to set up my Treo 700wx so that any text message that comes in from A will automatically forward it to B, C, D & E (cell recipients and e-mails).
Does such a creature exist?
try this

Hello - I'm trying to solve a unique problem and am hoping someone here can lead me in the right direction. I'm using a Cingular 8125 with one of the custom rom's from here. I also have a Cingular text pager for work. I am forwarding all of my work pages to my cell phone. Here's the issue: when I respond to those pages, I'd like it to appear to the recipient as if it came from my pager and not my cell phone. The reason is that when I reply to a work page from my cell phone, the recipient sees my address as my cell phone number instead of pager address and they don't know who I am. I think it's as simple as being able to define a return address for SMS text messages.
Any ideas?
Thanks
You can't do it.
Darn. Not even with a third-party SMS app?
I don't have a SMS folder in the Messages. SMS messages are received but only viewed through Touchflow. Is there a hack or other way I can have the SMS messages viewable in the Messages folder. I did the Registry hack for the threaded messages and activated the notifications (It did not fix my particular problem). I need help since I do not use touchflo technology in the today screen (prefer the traditional screen) but it makes me unable to view the SMS messages without having to activate the touchflo feature. Any help from you pros out there is greatly appreciated.
I have an HTC Touch Diamond... I have a question on the texting (sending SMS) settings.
Below is the synopsis
I like threaded conversation. But, I don't want all my SMSs to be saved by default. Instead, I want my HTC phone to ask me every time as to whether I would like to save and send the sms or only send the sms. Is this possible?
Its hard to explain but everytime I receive a text message thru GV from the same contact, the program makes multiple entries....even though its the same contact (ex. carolina). So my question is how do i make the text keeping going to the same contact without making 2 diff entries for the contact?
GV will automatically start a new "thread" after a certain amount of time. No idea how long that is.
I see...kinda of strange.
I have a Capitvate running Stock Gingerbread 2.3.5. I am on a volunteer fire department and to go along with our pagers, we have a thing called "2nd Signal." What it basically does is sends a sms message to your phone when the pager goes off. On my 4s, I could assign a sms tone that is distinct to the 2nd Signal. The issue is that the sms message comes from an email address ([email protected]). The problem on the Captivate, is the programs I have tried only allow a custom sms message tone from a number. Any ideas of a program to use that will allow a custom sms tone from an email address? I have tried Ringo Lite and SMS Popup to no avail.
I love it when I stump people!
I see only one solution - you may install GoSMS Pro. It could hide messages from some contacts to private mailbox, which have separate notification settings.
