Hi there,
I have an issue with my Kaiser which I flashed with the latest Emobile Rom.
ROM Version: 2.6.881.0
Radio Version: 1.71.09.01
Everything is working fine, except the following:
1) Ringtones - can't upload any wav files etc in the ringtone manager (obviously I can work around this by other call managers such as Ringo)
2) Very annoyingly, the Video Call (Telephony) function is disabled by default for Emobile - not quite sure why. However, I would like to have this function ENABLED and have tried some add on cabs such as video dialler, 3G dialler etc. All are not working on this ROM and when installed the send and softkeys won't work.
Can anyone help me here? Maybe cooking the ROM or trying to find a way to enable 3G video call, please? I am on the road quite frequently and have a little daughter who I would like to see once in a while.
If not, any other JAPANESE Roms which have the video call enabled and work on an acceptable basis? I have tried WWE ROMs and converted those to have Japanese language capabilities, however do not find it acceptable (emails will be for whatever reason decrypted into questionsmarks ?????
Well, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - can anyone HELP?

Please post this in relevant thread.

Hello,
is there a way to use the VoIP WM6 embedded client with this smartphone? It seems that WM6 Standard (smartphone edition) does not come with VoIP support default. Does anyone know of a way to install VoIP client that comes with the PDA-version of WM6 (WM6 Professional)?
Thanks a lot, an answer would save me a lot of troubles,

Anyjoy anybody ??
have you tried to copy the relevant files?
which are mentioned int thread: {SOLVED} How to configure VoIP/SIP client in WM6.
in the \Windows directory:
*
* ipdialplan.xml
* dnsapi.dll
* voipphonecanvas.dll
* rtcdll.dll
or checked the registry, for any voip relevant entries,
maybe you only will have to set a registry and than it might work (e.g. like the gps component)
but i dont have a vox yet, im only guessing.
I think that vox doesnt support voip doesnt mean wm 6 standard doesnt support voip, it may mean that htc did not include the voip component.
other wm 6 standard smartphones might have it in the future.
its a posting related to the ppc version (since wm6 its called professional), i read that it should work properly even with a 200mhz wizard
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
it shouldn't have been removed from the standard (smartphone version)

Some info on this:
I have used the WM6VoIP.cab posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303558 - post nr. 2, and although at the beginning it looked like nothing happened, after changing the Home default view (start/settings/home screen) to something else (not sure what i did and dont have the VOX anymore), Internet Calling appeared as a plugin.
Hope this helps anybody...

forgot to mention that I setup the VoIP settings and used it and it works flawlessly. The only problem is that the sound goes in the back and not the earpiece, but this is smth that we should still investigate.
I've added some instructions to the VOX wiki. Maybe some find it usefull and could expand it regarding the IPDialplan.xml (A non VOX but WM6 specific topic on that would sure be helpful).

Not sure yet and I am in desperate need of a solution. I will try to find out some more reading other threads about the VoIP settings here at xdadev. In case any of you finds a way to make the sound go in the front earpiece for this type of smartphone, pls email me at ionutz (at) pdamobile.ro.
Thanks a bunch!
Hi there.
Although the phone somehow registers to the VOIP service, I always get a "Network Error" when I try to place a call.
Could be provider dependant, maybe with some others it works...
Anyhow, just to let me understant, would you mind posting the name of your provider (or PM it to me if against the rules) so that I check with them?
Other thing, your today plugin stays as well on "Searching", right?
Thanks,
Ka.
Hi,
Regarding the the sound coming out of the back of the phone instead of the front, it is also happening to me with Skype so that may indicate it is something to do with the way the handset is setup by default and not the SIP add-in, maybe a registry setting.
Hi
Anyone found a solution to the VoIP sound coming out the speaker rather than the earpiece?
Regards
Phil

I have been playing around with building some WM 6.1 ROMs and have got VoIP to work using a combination of the drivers that are out there. It isn't perfect as there is still the issue with the audio being routed to the stereo speakers and not the phone speaker (I have a feeling unless HTC get involved then this will never be resolved?). I have also noticed that it is slightly quieter than my current ROM - TNT 1933.
If I use the drivers from TNT 1933 the audio is almost inaudible - certainly unusable - however after some playing around I have got audio that works but is still a bit quiet. The drivers I am using are:
Code:
dnsapi.dll - 23 April 2007, 13:30:54, 5,968 bytes
voipphonecanvas.dll - 23 April 2007, 13:30:54, 134,992 bytes
rtcdll.dll - 31 January 2007, 17:35:00, 1,663,488 bytes
The dnsapi.dll & voipphonecanvas.dll each have a digital signature, whilst the rtcdll.dll doesn't and is obviously older.
Does anyone have any other (newer?) VoIP files I can try?
Thanks
Andy
there is a wm6.1 on the russian forum the guy is saying that voip is fully working. here are the links:

Is it THIS specific ROM that you're having trouble with, or you need help on how to dump a ROM?

No, its this specific ROM. I have been using the Hypercore kitchen for a while and previously used Molski's cooking pack. I have no issues cooking ROMs and have in the past dumped ROM's without issue. I know there are issues with WM6.1 ROMs - the imgfs tools seem to take much longer and the CPU on my PC peaks which it didn't before. When I use either Hypercore or Molski's tools to dump the ROM it only takes a few seconds and I only get a handful of files.
If either someone can tell me how to dump this ROM or dump it themselves and post the VoIP drivers, either way that would be good...
Andy

Any updates on this?

1.56.405.5 rom
08/28/07 rom date
1.27.12.11 radio
22.45.88.074 protocol
I did whatever has been told in this forum being wm6voip.cab and the utility. fring works however inspite of the utility stating that sip over 3g/gsm, it is not working. To find out, i removed the sim and started the machine. Tried to connect through the wifi. It is not working. it states sim not available to make it clear that it is connecting the sim rather than the voip.
Can somebody clarify what is the issue.
Just install fring and be happy! It accepts SIP configuration also!

Hi everyone, i am using a rom that i am very happy with. as of tonight as Turkey we are passing to 3G technology. should I change my rom to a 3G one or is it just a CAB issue that can be easily solved? (like installing a 3G dialer CAB)
thanx in advance for the helps...

Please take note that this is the ROM Development Forum and not a what dialer?
I'm sure the search will help and then the decision is your

3G Video Call
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503116
sorry i think my english was not enough to ask the question porperly...
what i wanted to ask is: to use a 3G dialer do I have to change my ROM or is it enough to install the necessary dialer?
This 3d is going to be closed/moved since is not related to ROM develpment, but maybe one more tech info could be useful for you: 3G does not necessarily mean video calls. This protocol allow even video calls but this feature will remain up to your carrier operator.
3G dialer is only needed for video calls. 3G protocol implementation is embedded in almost all radio ROMs, so you can connect to your 3G network just with your actual dialer (and enjoy a faster data transfer).

If you need video calls you can easily change you dialer installing a 3G one. In this case you shoud find out a video dialer that works properly with your ROM (it requires some tests).
Some chefs have ROMs with an embedded dialer supporting video calls. In this case the compatibility is almost out of discussion
Closing thread... As stated this is a Rom development forum..
Please search for the dialer for you.
Peace,
Josh
hello all, I need a ROM istalando that would enable video calls, preferably with WM 6.5 ... can someone please recommend some ... ç
Slds.
Felipe
PS: excuse my English, it is thanks to google, I'm from Santiago, Chile.
Hey there, it depends on what model u have, the tilt version doesn not support video calling, not all roms will have a dialer which has a video call function, best thing to do is to search for it. Plus you should have posted this in the general section. so most likely this thread will be moved
now I have a rom that enables me to make video calls, but it is WM 6.1 and I do not like the rom, so I am looking any preference in WM 6.5.
Sorry if I put this query wrong, if someone can move where appropriate so greatly appreciated.
Slds.
Felipe
Video calling can be done on any ROM via installing 3G dialer, only you can find the ROM that you like as personal preference.

Hi,
Can someone suggest what WM6.5 ROM I can use that has SIP VOIP capability? I am using 6.5.1.7 - 23085 from md_bluelily (which works great on my 8125!) but it does not appear to include SIP.
Thanks.

What do you mean with SIP VOIP? Sorry no time for research
Hi,
I mean "Internet Calling" feature of WM6.x
Please read this post for more details on what I am looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
I was unable to get this to work with this ROM, so I assume that it is not included.
Thanks
Sorry, my bad. It does work fine with this ROM... just my lack of understanding of how to use the SIP feature of WM.
You can use BsbG rom, Makeveral has not removed the voip files
Voip ENERGY Leo ROM
Dear all I have searched en searched but didn't find a answer anywhere.
The problem is next:
I want to use VOIP on my TP2.
In the ENERGY Leo ROM VOIP is integrated.
I only download a SIPconfig tool to make it work.
But I don't get the speaker and the mic. to work properly.
Calling as a fact is working but then the people can’t hear my.
And I hear than only over the back speaker.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem??
I wonder the same thing and I searched too on the forums, but SIP seems to be also something to do with keyboards
Since the VOIP funcionality has been removed by HTC (probably necessitated by the telephone company) am I to assume that all the custom ROMs have not removed it? Because in the versions they modify (i.e. kitchens) it is still included or not? It would only be logical, as it's such a useful - not to mention incredible cost effective - function!
So could someone spread any light on this: do all the ROMs have it or just some? If only some, which?
Or do I still need something like the CAB files from these sites (which don't quite work for me on the original ROM).
