3G Video Call
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503116

sorry i think my english was not enough to ask the question porperly...
what i wanted to ask is: to use a 3G dialer do I have to change my ROM or is it enough to install the necessary dialer?

This 3d is going to be closed/moved since is not related to ROM develpment, but maybe one more tech info could be useful for you: 3G does not necessarily mean video calls. This protocol allow even video calls but this feature will remain up to your carrier operator.
3G dialer is only needed for video calls. 3G protocol implementation is embedded in almost all radio ROMs, so you can connect to your 3G network just with your actual dialer (and enjoy a faster data transfer).

If you need video calls you can easily change you dialer installing a 3G one. In this case you shoud find out a video dialer that works properly with your ROM (it requires some tests).
Some chefs have ROMs with an embedded dialer supporting video calls. In this case the compatibility is almost out of discussion

Closing thread... As stated this is a Rom development forum..
Please search for the dialer for you.
Peace,
Josh

If you are unsure about flashing read the posts that are mentioned in the Sticky, people have gone to a lot of effort to explain the process.
Please read those 1st and post if you are still unsure.
Cheers.
Most Kaiser ROMs don't come with VoIP (Internet Calling) built in. Instead, its offered as an add-on. The reason for this is due to the fact that sound comes out the rear speaker of a Kaiser instead of the earpiece. Its as if the speakerphone option was on constantly.
My ROM support pages have a link to my VoIP cab which also includes the GSM610 codec. This is a much more efficient codec than the default aLaw/uLaw codecs provided out of the box. Because of this, I also enable VoIP over 3G.
However, I still consider Internet Calling more of a "technology demonstration" than a working solution even though I have successfully configured my own Tilt to connect with my Asterisk based PBX.

Nice!
I have tried other WM6.1 ROM, but there was problem with EDGE/GPRS radio, it was not connecting to the internet. I hope this one will be working. I will come with comments soon!
Good job! The gprs radio is working good, the connection to the internet is now possible.
The look of this ROM is nice, also it has suitable programs, so I have to say after some time: upgrade it, if you can!
GSM network
How can force GSM network, it only works with 3G, my operator is YOIGO from Spain.
Thank You
T9 polish
If someone need in enclosure dictionary is Polish T9
Just updated my g500 everything went pretty smooth and took only few minutes.. Phone works much much better and faster - that's really fantastic! GPRS, EDGE, BT OBEX and AD2P perform flawless, looks like this rom is really stable, thanks to adilyildiz and emilio666 for posting it here.
One question for those who also updated - do you have 3G network working fine?
thanks a lot, gonna try it!
GPRS % MMS for Yoigo (Spain)
Someone have parameters of configuration for them?
How can be changed between GPRS and 3G from Registry?
I've been using another WM6.1 ROM which let me change this setting from the Control Panel, but this one doesn't seem to have it.
Thanks in advance

It doesn't have Mode change option in Phone Setting and looks like 3G won't work. I spent half day trying to find registry hack but no luck. There is another ROM from Darex (www.myg500.pl) where 3G works and bands can be changed.
lineus: Thanks a lot. Now I'm running Polish version (0.38a I think) and I think it's a bit better that the other one.
Anyway, GPRS and MMS is not possible for me. I'm using Spanish YOIGO. Even Toshiba assistant doesn't send me any configuration now (firmware maybe?)

Could you please give me a direct link to this ROM? I can't read polish!
And please tell me if you know any other ROM's for this mobile (even WM5), I'm trying to make a backup of my original one from Yoigo.
Thanks!
Just bought this Smartphone to replace my beloved Tornado (SP5), and sucessfully updated to WM6.1 with this ROM.
Everything seems to be working perfectly, but I will need some more time to test everything out.
Good work and thanks for sharing!

Ok, after some hours of testing, I only found two problems with this WM6.1 ROM for the Toshiba G500:
-after running the integrated Windows Live Messenger for the first time, and activating the Home Screen tab, I noticed there are icons missing on this tab. Instead of those I'm getting a red cross picture.
-everytime I open a SMS, it appears slightly paged down, hiding the sent date and time information on top. I must press "Up" once to reveal this information.
Overall this seems a great ROM indeed, a must have for all G500 owners!
can someone tell me where i can find the password? my polish is ... not good

Recommendation

hello all, I need a ROM istalando that would enable video calls, preferably with WM 6.5 ... can someone please recommend some ... ç
Slds.
Felipe
PS: excuse my English, it is thanks to google, I'm from Santiago, Chile.
Hey there, it depends on what model u have, the tilt version doesn not support video calling, not all roms will have a dialer which has a video call function, best thing to do is to search for it. Plus you should have posted this in the general section. so most likely this thread will be moved
now I have a rom that enables me to make video calls, but it is WM 6.1 and I do not like the rom, so I am looking any preference in WM 6.5.
Sorry if I put this query wrong, if someone can move where appropriate so greatly appreciated.
Slds.
Felipe
Video calling can be done on any ROM via installing 3G dialer, only you can find the ROM that you like as personal preference.

WM6.5 ROM with SIP VOIP

Hi,
Can someone suggest what WM6.5 ROM I can use that has SIP VOIP capability? I am using 6.5.1.7 - 23085 from md_bluelily (which works great on my 8125!) but it does not appear to include SIP.
Thanks.

What do you mean with SIP VOIP? Sorry no time for research
Hi,
I mean "Internet Calling" feature of WM6.x
Please read this post for more details on what I am looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
I was unable to get this to work with this ROM, so I assume that it is not included.
Thanks
Sorry, my bad. It does work fine with this ROM... just my lack of understanding of how to use the SIP feature of WM.
You can use BsbG rom, Makeveral has not removed the voip files
Voip ENERGY Leo ROM
Dear all I have searched en searched but didn't find a answer anywhere.
The problem is next:
I want to use VOIP on my TP2.
In the ENERGY Leo ROM VOIP is integrated.
I only download a SIPconfig tool to make it work.
But I don't get the speaker and the mic. to work properly.
Calling as a fact is working but then the people can’t hear my.
And I hear than only over the back speaker.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem??
I wonder the same thing and I searched too on the forums, but SIP seems to be also something to do with keyboards
Since the VOIP funcionality has been removed by HTC (probably necessitated by the telephone company) am I to assume that all the custom ROMs have not removed it? Because in the versions they modify (i.e. kitchens) it is still included or not? It would only be logical, as it's such a useful - not to mention incredible cost effective - function!
So could someone spread any light on this: do all the ROMs have it or just some? If only some, which?
Or do I still need something like the CAB files from these sites (which don't quite work for me on the original ROM).
