I found a cooked wm5 rom with a iphone look!!!!
It's WWE (us english actualy) and it's full of tweaks and add-ons! check it out

Great camera software
strange but can't find pocket msn or msn messenger anywhere....
new icons
nice apple logo instead of the windows logo.
great homescreen (very iphone)
celetask included (just press home key during 2 seconds but it's in chinese)
A very nice clock near the batery indicator.
Quite fast and stable.
i'll post more later for now it's time to reisntall my apps and games.
PS: please someone find us a way to have T9 in this rom...

What font is being used? is it the typical Chinese ac3 font or Segoe?

I'm afraid i don't understand your question beacause i don't know the fonts you are talking about. please explain!

Guys this really works,
Just installed it on my SP5 over an SP5m firmware. Its very quick to install too. it took 3 minutes to install.
I will advise if it worths.

This is the fastest rom I used on tornado without overclocking. Quicker boot, quicker logoff and menu control. It is very pretty looking like Iphone.
The only negative is that the default input language is chinese, so you have to press * a lot to write. Everything else is in english.
If you are a tech freak use it.

I am confused about the language options. If you goto Settings you should be able to select Locale and change it to US and English right? If not then change the registry to delete every other language besides English. I have don that in the past and worked great. However, I am not willing to risk downloading this ROM if the language isn't right. Any other bugs with this ROM??

I agree. also, it would be very annoying to keep on pressing "*" everytime you want to input text

a tutorial on how to make custom roms would be very helpfull.

Saw the link that you gave, it uses the usual chinese font, they are a lot thinner than the usual WM5 font which is called Segoe..
Not a big deal since we can change fonts easily thru Registry

Wow, decided to quickly throw this on right before I took off to work this morning.
The very first think I noticed was the fix for my Motorola ht820 A2DP headphones! No more will I have to deal with the high pitched distortion/noise!
I'm assuming this was either just a partial flash, or it was built upon an imate rom because I still have my imate splash screen at the beginning.
I'm at work now, and I really should be working, so I wont have a chance to install any programs or tweak with the homescreen at all . . .
The iphone stuff is well done, but I couldnt care less about having a minimal looking screen, I'll go back to my previous settings . .
Also, hopefully I can search around here enough to find out how to get my t9 back. . . . not the end of the world but would be nice.
Would also be nice to get the midlet manager back.

Hi, i've already tried that solution but it doesn't work.
it's a diferent input software they used in this rom, it lacks suport for t9.
Can someone who knows how to speak chinese try to contact the maker of this rom (it's the guy in the link with screenshots i believe) and ask him for suport on how to make a xd-devs rom???

no "External GPS" menu?

I've hidden the External GPS applet because I let WM6 manage it automatically... Next release will show it in the connections tab with Wireless Modem and Internet Sharing apps too... do you think I should add GPS applet quickly in ROM?

First, thanks mamiware for the ROM..i was using Leo's ROM but got fed up with all the GSM crashes that i was having, i have switched over to this ROM and so far i have no complaints..everything is working as it should and i havent had a single GSM crash...thanks alot

VOIP on french ROM

Hi !
I can't find the VOIP settings or application in my TC... I'm on a french ROM, with no mobile operator personalization (I bought it alone).
The VOIP isn't sensed to be in WM6 ?
And anyway, how to upgrade and get native VOIP ? (I don't want to use alternative programs).

Yes, menu and somethings are in english. Some program are in Rusian, but no problem. Good work.
I had problem with PIN, I pressed some many buttons on device. After that i chose English and PIN and everything work corectly.

Hey Could Someone Upload the wm6.1 rom and the russian rom to a non Ftp Static Links, Reason is Internet Cost here in S.A are off the charts no jokes so iv manage to get free internet nomally no matter what i typed id get redirected to a url that tells me i must recharge my sim with credit i managed to bypass that by using the taget site ip as my proxy and typing in the url of the redirection and it takes me not to the recharge site but the target ip url now most sites bring up apache succes page so im left with web proxy sites thats how im able to browse could someone upload it to eg www.megaleecher.com www.megaftp.com www.hotlinkfiles.com thanks

same questions, and what about GPRS? does it works?

Wi-fi seems to be fine but i cannot insert passkey in chinesse for my wireless lan xD

seems to be a problem for 2.61 version -> Nothing to do!!! I've installed 2.47 and nothing changes.

Ive seen in threads around the forum and the sound problem could be from the SRS Audio, try and get rid of any traces of that and see if that helps

Hi! This kind of problem is very often discussed in different forums on Tornado. Maybe it's a hardware problem, not rom-dependant? They say that in many Tornadoes after a year or two the contacts in the 2.5 mm plug are stuck so that the OS thinks that headphones are connected. Looks like your case. They say using a pin or a needle helps.

-Outlook can't write/read messages. Problems with html templates and configuration
-Calc still in chinesse xD
-Buttons Config is shows in chinesse and english (but no problem if not change configuration)
this afternoon (spanish time) will upload beta1 with this issues...

PD: Sip also in chinesse (you can change to normal keyboard but with fakecursor) and no xt9 installed.
