stuck at 2nd boot screen - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

Hi,
My device is stuck at 2nd boot screen.
It is an Imate K-Jam G3
it is unlocked
i have IPL/SPL 3.08
I can get into 3color boot mode and flash anything.
I try with official Rom, with T-mob 2.26 and with other but all of them do the same. Stuck after the 2nd screen with the IPL/SPL/GSM/OS display on screen.
Every time i flash the screens and info is changed so the flash seems to be fine.
I also try to format fat a few times but the same result.
What else can i try?
Thanks!

Try Using the MTTY Tool
If you can't backup the rom - gives you an access error "you cannot access this...." then your device is CID locked. If it lets you back up, then you can reflash and be back in business. I don't recall the exact name of the program but if you search for MTTY you should find it - follow the directions carefully.

isczar ... I had this a while back and sorted it with the "Love" rom ..details at this post ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293480&page=21
.Rapidshare link near the end of the post is working ..It might be worth a try ...
HW

i did flash the wizard love rom but is the same.
I will try with the sd card but i need to find one.
Will i be able to reuse the sd card after? can i reformat it with anything?
Thanks,

mistake?
Hi,
i think i did another mistake i flashed the button rom and now i am stuck with IPL SPL 1.05
I also tried Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 and is the same.
My device also hangs at the 2nd boot screen
any idea what i can try?
Help!

Thanks!
Thank you all!!!
I fixed it with the sd card backup. Unfortunately now i have a useless 1gb card.
If anyone knows how to fix my SD card now, that will be great!
Thanks,

Put it into a card reader, then you can re-partition and format it in PC.

Thank You.
I fixede also my card.

If you ever made a bkondisk image backup there probably is a way to recover your phone. The important part is part 6 (4MB)
No bkondisk backup
Hi thanks for your reply but i dont have this backup, i do have a dump and backup of the original rom, cant gat into boot loader can nit be recovered like hermes with folder on sd with rom and power on holding a sequence of keys
Can you get into bootloader mode? yes or no
Did you flash my USPL? yes or no
There is a chance to recover if both answers are yes
PS: and have you done a hard reset? and always take both the SIM and SD card out before booting and also take the battery out for twenty seconds
I have flashed your spl, but i have never been able to get my phone into bootloader unless done by the update. Is it possible to use a bkondisk backup from another phone ??? hard reset does not work phone does not get that far. will try with battery out

Unplug usb, pull battery out, put it in, keep camera button pressed and shortly press power. You should see the tri-color bootscreen.
I managed to get into bootloader following your instructions and flashed it with a good rom and my Vox is working fine. Thankyou for your help and time Jocky Much appreciated. Guess i need to take some more time when cooking and look more at the info from the cooked rom.
Thankyou
Thankyou
I am having the same problem!! except the only thing is i cant flash an original signed HTC rom because i changed the CID in my cooked rom (STUPID!!)
I flashed my cooked rom using Jockyw's USPL. I can connect to the bootloader using MTTY. When i try to flash another custom ROM with a CID the same it says corrupt (this is the check for the signed ROM??).
Please help!
Thanks
VOX.

PANIC - plz help

I finally got the nerves to put the new radio and rom version on my HTC Touch pro.
It went wrong at 1%, and the recovery option was in a loop.
So I did exit the process after recovering/restarting like 12 times.
It did exit on a 262 error at 0% or 1%...
Ok let’s try one other rom; now I did first run the HardSPL Unsigned 190.1.3 again as advised before every rom update, and it was successful...
But when booting the phone it is stuck at the black TOUCHpro screen with the following red text at the right bottom.
R 1.02.25.19
G 52.33.25.17U
D 1.90.00.00
Now whatever I try, whatever rom version I use, it always tells me the phone is not connected by USB.
Seems like the USB driver or something is not loaded at this stage. Maybe when by some key combination I get the phone in the ROM/Boot loading menu I can try other rom version. But I could be completely on the wrong track here.
I was so happy with my WM6 phone, please help me so I can enjoy my phone again, hopefully not with the old rom and radio ofc, when possible.
Don't panic!
Put a the NBH file of the rom you want to flash on your storage card and rename it to RAPHIMG.NBH. Start the bootloader (reset and keep pressing the volume down button) and follow the directions on the screen. When it sais it flashed succesful reset again.
Of course this only work if you did install the hardspl...
Good luck,
Cheers,
Cacti
Ok found that when I go in bootloader mode manually by pressing the Volume-down and reset button at the same time it can connect to my PC.
But no matter what rom version I try, original, Stock or custom it stops at 0% or 1% .. Giving me any of these errors :

ERROR [262, 276, 284, 302] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process.
Solution: If this happens, you can just soft-reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue.
Note: At this stage, the Wince is destroyed; instead, it is in upgrade mode.

Plz help me, I am using the original USB cable and did try a general one, no-USB hub, did remove my firewall/virus scanner software and all.
Put the NBH file on you storage card and rename it. Don't use rhe RUU...
Thanks le_cactus, the above message crossed yours..
I will try getting the new rom trough my MicroSD card, good thing I have no regular Diamond..
Diamond?
This is the HTC Touch Pro forum
Yhea I know, I have the TouchPro... aka as the Professional version of the HTC Diamond in the Netherlands.
Raphael is rarely used here, only by people who are into rom's and TF3D hacks and stuff...
Damn my CF/MD adapter does not seem to work, or my card reader, printer with card reader and my iPaq don't support 8GB cards..
Guess I have to go to the shop tomorrow for a smaller card with a new adapter or a card reader that accepts MicroSD to get my phone back to order.
Thanks for your advice and cooling down my panic moment.. "Bedankt !!!"
Thanks man for 14 euro's I did buy me a card-reader that is able to handle my 8GB microSD card and my problem is solved. Running on 405.3 with latest .28 radio drivers now.

[Resolved] Topaz Stuck On Boot Screen!

Yes i have posted this in the Topaz forum and got no replies so i thought i may get more answers here
Im not new to flashing, upgrading, modifying my phone
I have searched prior to posting my problem.
Heres whats wrong, basically my phone is stuck on the boot screen after flashing NhatHoa 7.0..I have the latest HARDSPL on the device, connecting the device to the USB cable does nothing, no light to indicate charging nor no connection to active sync.
So i tried to flash from SD card, formatted my 8Gb card, renamed custom rom to TOPAIMG.nbh, went into bootloader, followed the on screen instructions and still nothing (like it doesnt even recognize the SD Card)
I then tried a 2Gb SD Card, formatted using FAT32, copied the nbh over, did exactly as above, again nothing.
I have searched, tried many of things which should work but nothing.
I cant have bricked my device because i can still enter boot loader and see the boot screen, but thats it.
Any Ideas??
Regards, Wez
edit
Ok so i just bought a 1Gb SD Card and still it doesnt read the card, im officially clueless now as to what i can do..i have formatted the card in every possible way NTFS, FAT, FAT32, even changed the allocation size which again did nothing.
I also downloaded a rom were it was already name TOPAIMG.nbh just incase there was something in the file attributes which were different and again nothing.
IF anybody has any solutions please, let me know.
Update
If this is important or usefull the device does charge when switched off, i can enter bootloader and i can switch the phone on in which it gets stuck on the 'Touch Diamond 2' screen

[Q] ;Help please. Can't get my Touch Pro's boot to start

Hello
I've flashed my Touch Pro several times in the past 2 years and everything went always OK. The last time I've flashed with TAELROM_v5.23138_17SEP2010
Everything went OK for several days, until yesterday:
1. battery drained very quick after full charge (6 hours);
2. Can't put it to charge again;
3. Can't wake it up, even with other battery fully charged;
4. No boot menu;
5. With just access to bootloader mode
Some info:
Is the device HardSPL'ed
Yes: SPL-1.90.Olinex
Is the device unlocked
Yes
Access to bootloader mode (tricolour screen)
Yes (won't start the phone even if I try to soft reset in bootloader mode)
How can I revive?
Thanks in advance
If you can get into the bootloader just plug it into your usb port and flash a new ROM.
I've done it already, and the problem stays the same... Although the installation runs normally, after reinstall the phone doesn't restarts unless in bootloader mode!
Could it be a hardware problem?
Try pulling the sd card (and maybe the SIM card) and resetting. A corrupted sd card could jack up the device.

if that does not help then is something wrong with hardware probably.
I always pull out sd card and sim before flashing with new rom just to avoid that kind of problems.
expert.. help me please..
i also have same problem as u'r.. the device stuck in 3 color bootloader, i already flash it with original factory rom, but nothin' change.. try using axe box to create goldcard, but the problem still not solve. can somebody help me pls...
1. when updating with factory rom (RUU_Raphael_hTC_Asia_5.07.707.2_signed_Raphael_52.58.35.30_1.11.25.01ship) it stuck at 25%
-message: error(226): flash write -iu634
2. when updating via sd card the message that appear is -updating failed, wrong OS..
what should i do next to survive my lovely phone?

Do you have hard spl? Or were you flashing a stock rom with a gold card? I would try flashing the stock rom for your device/carrier. You may be screwed, if you don't have hard spl.
In my case, the problem was hardware: charging malfunction.
Thanks to all of you who helped me

If you can get into bootloader, then try flashing hard spl. Then flash whatever you want.

[Problem] Flashing HardSpl trough MicroSD fail (pls help)

I had a StockSpl on my Htc touch pro and I wanted to flash an unsigned Hard-SPL from my MicroSD because I wasn't home and I didn't have the USB cable. After the screen loaded 100% the device restarted I took off the MicroSD and now it keep showing this tri-color screen:
RUUNBH
RAPH100
SPL-1.90.000
MicroP-Raph (LED) v13
MicroP-Raph (KEY) v5
PSOC-Raph STAGE_CVT v0x36
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again
Serial.
(I've also attached a picture)
If i try to flash again from MicroSD the same HSPL it loads until 100% then restart and start to load again until i get the MicroSD card off. Or if i try to flash other StackSPL or any other ROM it stays on Loading on a grey screen.
After I went home I tried to flash the HSPL again from my computer using the USB cable, it start to load 0% then it does nothing. I've tried to flash StockSpl and other ROMs from the computer too but it does the same.
I think i've tried anything but nothing seems to work ... if someone can help me pls ... i've searched the entire forum and there's someone that had almost the same problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566796
but noone had any solutions.
You can't flash hard spl off your sd card; it's got to be done through a usb cable.
Just read through the hard spl thread; it's long, but your situation has probably been addressed. I did it almost 3 years ago, so I don't remember the tricks. That's the case with most posters, I'm afraid. Just read the thread.
can u pls tell me which thread?
this one?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
or this one?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Either, but read the first one. You can also look in the unlocker thread. Hell, you may just want to buy the unlocker and run that. It will flash hard spl, and the directions may be better.
I just hope they aren't trying to HSPL(hard SPL) a CDMA device :S I've made the mistake to assume the person that was posting in this forum had a GSM device and they really screwed up after a third attempt at flashing HSPL!
Usually if I have a difficult time flashing my Fuze or TP(both GSM), I remove everything to include the battery, connect the USB to an available USB port on the computer then hold the volume down key while connecting the device to the USB cable. Probably not the most friendly way but it certainly will tell you if there is a problem with your USB port/cable or even device!
My htc raphael is GSM
I've tried to hold the volume down button but it's always the same
There's no problem with the cable just that I can't flash anything because I'm stuck with a stock-spl and I can't flash a hard-spl either. When I try to flash something from the computer it starts to flashing with 0% then nothing happends until the RUU gives me the 262 Error. And when i try to flash from my mSD it just stuck with a Loading screen.

Naughty Naughty..
I guess you realise now that you should ALWAYS read read read before modifying your phone in any way.
What EXACT file did you originally flash to your phone via microsd card and where did you get it from?
If you go into the bootloader screen and then connect the usb cable does it show "usb" at the bottom of the screen?
PLEASE STOP TRYING TO FLASH HARDSPL FROM MICROSD AS YOU CANT DO IT. If you could then it would be in my guide..
Mark.

Yes ... I did read the part with the SD flashing but i thought it's not a bit deal to flash from mSD since the flashing via activesync is so easy.
Well ... i extracted the RUU_Signed.nbh from the Hard-SPL found HERE and i copied it to the mSD (MicroSD) and renamed it RAPHIMG.nbh.
I restarted my phone holding the volume down button and it started to load until 100% then it restarted and showed the bootloader screen and after a couple of seconds start to flash the HSPL again so after it completed 2 or 3 times of flashing and restarted i took the battery and the mSD off (I DIDN'T TOOK THE BATTERY WHILE IT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF FLASHING). And when i started the phone again without mSD it showed the bootloader screen like it was waiting to get a .nbh file on mSD to start flashing again.
No matter what i do my phone start in bootloader and down it shows "Serial". If i connect the usb it shows "USB".
I tryed to do a hard reset and it seem to work but after it finish and the phone restarts is stuck with the same tri-colour screen.
Sry for trouble and thx again
I guess I missed the part in the OP where you said it was stuck in bootloader. That's not good. I would try flashing the stock raphael rom (assuming you have it). Have you tried that? I dunno, you may be stuck for good.

As Farmer Ted said your best bet now is to download your ORIGINAL Rom (from your provider) and flash it from your pc with the usb cable attached. The phone had to be in SSPL mode before running the RUU which is why everything was packed in a single exe. You may have corrupted your SPL in which case you have bricked your phone but if you can manage to flash a Stock Rom then the Stock SPL should be reflashed and you can start again with the HardSPL by following the CORRECT instructions and not making up your own lol.
Good luck.
Mark.
When i bought my phone, the first thing i did was to dump the rom. So now i rebuild it from raw and tried to flash but it didn't work so i went to Orange site and i downloaded the official ROM then started to flash and ... IT WORKS
I think that the ROM was corrupted not the SPL, and since the SPL was stock it didn't allow me to flash other ROMs other then the official
Thanks for all guys I couldn't done this without your help
P.S: why did it allowed me to flash the official rom but the hspl not?
It didn't flash the hard spl because you did it all wrong; those rebuilt roms aren't exactly the same as the stock roms, so it's not surprising that wouldn't flash. Good job finding the original shipped one, though.
Now, just read mskip's instructions and you should be good to go. I think the trick is just to enter bootloader, then connect to your pc through the usb cable.
