Here is my first released cooked rom... M-Diamond 1.0|dyn pp
The Base is the officiell German-HTC-Rom with CE OS 5.2.19212 (Build 19212)
This is only the OS, but it's recomanded that you use 1.65.xx.xx radio´s with this rom. I use the original 1.65.16.25 radio version.
you need to flash LINK>>> HARDSPL <<<LINK first!!!....then you can flashing these rom.
After the first boot the device instaling the Diamond HTC black bars, then the device boot again, and you can work with it.

cleartype-setting is greyed out in landscape so i don´t think it´s working

Hab das Rom gestern Nacht noch auf mein Tytn2 gehauen und soweit ist alles ok bisher. Was mir fehlt ist der MSN Messi.. aber da schau ich mich mal nach nem alternativprogramm um.. also nicht sooo schlimm.
I have toastet it to my Tytn2 last night, and all ok so far. Very nice looking. MSN Messi is missing in the Rom, but i will show after a alternativ App.

- Where can i find the ROM Versions? ( private or orginal )
- Wich tool to use for upgrade ROM Version?
- What can happens, when i upgrade the ROM? ( crash my NEO totally? )

Want: Uninstall the Provider specific Tools ( like O2 dialpad )
-> Way: Delete from ExtROM
Want: Disbale GPRS/UTMS
-> Way: Registry ( or ExtROM, too?? )
Want: More Power
-> Way: Overclocking Tool + Registery entries ( like bigger chage and no animated menu) ( + other ROM version, too?? )

The last Way brings me to my second Question. Why mod the ExtROM seems to be clear, but why using another ROM Version? Only because the SPLASH-SCREEN?

I can not answer all your questions - But if you think your PPC is too slow, get yourself a different Rom ( There are many Topics about this ) or do a soft reset when the ExtRom Cabs beeing installed after hard resetting or rom upgrade...
I installed the newest o2online Rom by now, but without all these specific cab Files installed and the Neo is a little more responsive now.
To Overclock (to be able to run Skype for example) go and download "omapclockv2".

You are righht, this should be the latest O2 Rom, i previously updated to Dopod-Rom which was some days newer.

Many Questions are answered there - I Don`t know much about the Ext.Rom, only that installing them can be prevented with a soft reset aber an upgrade or hard resetting.

Ist schon echt lustig, wieviel Leute hier rumrennen und einfach mal so drauf los flashen und machen. Wenn da 50%, hey super great job schreien, dann is das was tolles, aber die anderen 50% die danach n echtes problem haben is es denk ich net wert. Ist denn hier echt niemand in der Lage, mal ne Vernünftige Auflistung/Erklärung zu machen, was GENAU da eigtl. passiert, auf was man achten muss, und welche Möglichkeiten überhaupt alle offen stehen ?!?!

na und? was soll das alles hier?
die meisten fragen sind schon hier im forum beantwortet worden, die anderen antworten muss man sehr wahrscheinlich selbst hearausfinden. wenn jemand so einen grossen angst hat seinen geraet zu flashen und dabei irgendetwas falsch zu machen, so dass dann aus dem schoenen neuen xda neo ploetzlich ein teuerer briefbeschwerer wird, so hat er hier sowieso nicht viel verloren. ob es wert ist oder nicht muss jeder fuer sich allein entscheiden, die informationen gibt es mehr als genug, man muss nur ein bissschen suchen.

also im searching for the Cab files from "Resco Explorer, TomTom incl. Cards for Europe, and Sprite Backup.

I think it´s a small and very fast base vor a good system - but is there a chance to get the soft keyboard in Qwertz instead of Querty?

Well, you must be quite new, too. Otherwise you would have noticed that this question has been asked quite a million times before. And usually people answer the way like: "It depends on what you want and like..."

Nevertheless I am so bold to give you two hints:
1. If you're not sure, use the pre- installed ROM.
2. If you are sure, give Maxstegi's a try. Still, if you don't like it, use the kitchen to adapt it to your needs!

Es gibt nur eines und das heisst maxstegi V5.2.
Hat aber noch immer zu viele Soft Resets. dafür kann man eine Vanilla Version mit der Kitchen ganz einfach selber machen.
Ich benutze Tomal 8.2, kann einfach mehr und läuft stabiler.
There is only one and that means maxstegi V5.2.
But still too many soft resets. This can be a vanilla version of Kitchen simply ourselves.
I use TOMAL 8.2, as more functions are included. And it runs more stable.

Hi, könntet ihr bitte Links zu den genannten ROMs angeben? Ich probiere gerade viel rum und hatte u.a. auch schon die 6.5.3 v4.3 ROM von Nokster drauf, aber ich habe eine deutsche Tastatur und außerdem lassen sich einige Programm nicht im 6.5.x installieren, deswegen möchte ich wieder auf die 6.1. zurück, aber eine angepasste.

First of all, excuse me that I have not translated my post. I just thought that only Germans would read this thread so that it wouldn't make a difference.
Thanks for the tip on universal ROMs, I didn't even know those existed. I took a look at some of them but from those I have checked, they are mostly for WM Pro (touchscreen devices) and quite heavy. Other than that it seems to be a good idea for me to try out some of them but I haven't seen any below the 64MB RAM requirement since the i600 is not equipped with that much power.
Since you happen to have read this, may I ask you if you can tell me how to change the keyboard layout? I have a German built SGH-i600 and I am using the Nokser 6.1 v2 ROM which is only providing the English keyboard mapping. So Y and Z are swapped and most of the Fn+combinations and symbols.
Any help is appreciated.

Looks cool but I have an issue, I´m testing this rom on a SDA Tmobile (USA) and some keys don´t respond, is there an application or trick for fix the keyboard for my phone?
Which buttons does not work? In Settings>Buttons you can set AP1, AP2... Probably this is your not working keys... Your using before this any Pro ROM for Tornado?

No. Sorry.
I tried it today, but unfortunatly it doesn't seem compatible with Paragon's LEng Hebrew, so i switched to the other rom with the Manila 2D. But this one was very fast... although main screen was rather empty.

I tested this ROM with HardSPL 3.56 and Radio 1.65.16.25.

Use a HardSPL and the risk will be very low.

Thanks to both of you. One thing: I found a bug eith the buttons. Some are setted like for Charmer and don't work. I'll fix that hopefully today otherwise tomorow.

Seems like that should say 101Mb of program memory and something like 50Mb of RAM.
Yes. The program memory is 101 MB. 66 of it are free on my device.
Edit: And the program memory is Windows Mobiles name for RAM. Open some programms that are already installed and you'll see that the program memory will get less.

A new version (V0.2) is out.
Bugs are fixed now. OS is still 21231 but I will update that soon. Changes can be found in post #1 .
I really like the ROM, but I don't won't to flash the new version unless it improves it for me. So I wondered which the new dailer is?
It changes nothing. It only looks better then the old one. I'll add screenshots soon then you can see it. The only real improvements are the new camera version and the fixed buttons.

OS changed to 21812. Look in post #1 for other changes.
Has anyone tried the camera? Seems like it is bad on my phone. Tell me about it otherwise I can't get it working again.

ok habe dein rom nun einige zeit getestet. vorweg: schnellstes rom das ich je hatte. unglaublich. lass es einfach so!!! nur ein paar sachen:
1. WorldCard Mobile ist für mich total überflüssig
2. Startmenü in Ordner sortieren (wie in anderen ROMs, Zubehör, Werkzeuge, ...)
3. Fingerfreundliche Tastatur
4. AdvancedConfig und MyPhone mitinstallieren
5. Evtl. irgendein Programm um die gerade aktiven Programme oben rechts auf dem Heute Bildschirm etwas größer zu machen
wie gesagt eigentlic nur kleinigkeiten weil das rom an sich unglaublich gut läuft!!! vielen dank für deine gute arbeit!

Sorry that I reply in English but that is what I was told to do.
The ROM will get even faster. I started to fully clean up 21231 because it was better then 21812 in my eyes. (I'll maybe use 21812 later again). I'll remove office and so on and provide cabs for it then so that you can install it if you need it. UC will be in too (It already is but then it will get importand). Then you can let the cabs install after an update too. That will make the thing faster and will give us more Storage.
I'll sort the things into folders soon. The things with advanced config and so on will be there as cabs then you can tell UC to install them. I think that is the best way for everyone.
The new release will be there in one week. (I'll be on holidays from tomorow on and back in one week).

-I fixed the camera and updated it to Version 5.04.
-I cleaned up everything. At first startup you have nearly 70MB of RAM and nearly 150MB of storage free.
