Have you read the wiki and the instructions? Did you load jumpspl? Did you disable the usb in activesync? did you disconnect and reconnect the phone? Did you run the hardspl ruuloader?

yes I tried loading jumpspl (by copying it from my computer to my phones folder and it wouldnt show up. and then i went to this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061 and I still cant get things copied over to the phone. Yes active sync is still active untill I try to run Hardspl, then it just shuts off and I get the grey screen with the 0% on it. I have my sim card and microsd card removed also.

Which Hard SPL are you installing, this would be easier to follow if you posted in the correct Hard SPL thread, but anyhow... I will assume you are installing Jockyw2001 3.* Hard SPL (sticky in this forum).
You need to have SSPL/Jump SPL running, Copy it to your device and run it. The default folder AS uses is \My Documents. So use File Explorer on your phone to find this exe and run it. If you have run the right version you will get a tri-colour screen (RGB). Then ensure you have your .nbh file in the same folder as KaiserCustomRUU, and run it. This should do the trick.
I'd recommend you get a little more familiar with your phone before trying this, if you are having problems copying files and running them from the device.
Thanks
Dave

copy jump spl to the documents folder on your phone and run it, some advise to take out any micro sd card first, then in activesync disable usb connection, then run hard spl. That should be it.

You might also remove your sim card. My Tilt didn't flash hardspl with it inserted.

You may consider posting this question in the apropos thread. For example the one you got the software in.
Seriously people.
This is a developer community not a spoon feed me the answer because I refuse to follow the "rules" forum.

spv-service?
Yes , but when I ran SPV-service : it say "Unknown Error 2146994773 in read operation"
Did you install cert.cab ? Did you application unlock your phone ?
I copied form NET
Just do exactly what it says here:-
Requirements
• An SPV C500 (this method apparently works for the C550 and C600 too)
• A USB Cable
• ActiveSync installed and working
• An Orange SIM (doesn't have to be active, though)
How to unlock the phone
1. Connect the phone to your computer, and verify ActiveSync connects ok.
2. Download 'regeditSTG.zip' and copy to the phone using ActiveSync. Make sure you use the zip file - the .exe alone will not properly work, and the phone can handle zip files natively.
3. Using the File Manager (Start, more, more, accessories, file manager on my phone) navigate to the directory you saved the file to, open the .zip file, and run the regedit.exe file inside.
4. To "application unlock" the phone, change the following registry values:
In: HKLM/Security/Policies/Policies
Change 00001001 from current value to 1
Change 00001005 from current value to 40
5. Turn the phone off and back on.
6. Download spv-services.zip to your PC, and unzip.
7. Copy the cert.cab file over to your phone, find it using File Manager, and let it run the cert.cab file. This will install an app signing certificate that the next step relies on.
8. Run the 'SPVServices.exe' file on your PC - it will communicate with your phone via activesync. Please note that this file connects to a remote server to do the unlocking calculations, so requires an internet connection. I also found that it doesn't work properly if you have IE7 (beta 2 in my case) installed. Rolling back to IE6 made the application work properly. Hopefully this will be resolved in a future release.
9. Finally, test the phone with your non-orange SIM card.
I hope this page helps some people unlock their phones for free without being ripped off by some of the online sellers. I didn't create any of the tools used to do this, so many thanks to the skilled individuals who did. "
I tried to run cert.cab and regedit.exe in SP but unsuccessful. I though , they have new IPL and SPL , also they have a newer lock's way.
Anybody can help me?
on my c600 i've used spv-services without problems

thanks Alexx~, I will try and report to this tool.
I'm having problems running the spv services from windows vista.... says "failed to create empty document" does anybody have any suggestions?
cheers
If you have AKU2 installed no go for unlocking you will have to flash to IMATE or QTEK rom by patching the header of the IMATE NBF file to match orange AKU2 file then flashing there is post on google ablut this just do a search.
"failed to create empty document" problem for me too
apparently i have rom version 2.0.6.0 but i am having millions of problems
Check my post it probably helps you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412139
See ya from Mexico

Stuck on Booloader Screen *Solution*

After 2 days of messing with this and learning more about flashing ROMS than I ever wanted to it finally worked!!!
If you messed up by not SuperCID(ing) your phone before you flashed it because you didn't follow directions like me, here is a solution that i had to dig up from various forums and threads to get your phone back to WM5.
1. Downloaded the imate wm5 from here:
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/smartphones/Tornado/Shipped_Complete_Updates/I-mate
2. Downloaded the Typhoonnbftool...just google it. I used version .4.
3. Find out what your original CID id is by using the Ttermpro. (make sure the Allow USB Connections is unchecked in Activesync...i spent an hour trying to get ttermpro to work)
refer to this thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319588
4. Now run the typhoonnbf tool. File > Open the .nbf file you downloaded in step 1. (imate wm5)
Tools > Edit Data Header
Change the Operator to match what your SuperCID id is (Step 3) and type in 99.99.99.99 (i'm sure any high number will work here) in the "Image Version" field as well as the "Secondary Version" in the header of the .nbf. (i'm not sure if the Secondary version is necessary, but i did it anyway to be safe)
Sample of what it should look like:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Save the file under a different name in the same directory. Move the orignal .nbf file to a safe location. Rename the edited version to nk.nbf
6. Run the ROM update utility and it should work
Good Luck and don't give up hope.
Hi All... I didnt notice and i tried to run ((Artemis_Touch_Vanilla_4.02.zip)) this ROM on HTC touch and its got stuck on HTC logo screen and says OS 3.13.0.0 .... Please help me... i have tried to restart and tried what ever possible but nothing is working it comes back to same screen...Please help ...please
the thing is it does not go the three color screen...it straight comes to the HTC logo screen and then in about 3 or 4 seconds comes OS 3.13.0.0 and then thats it its on the screen for ever....I cant click on anything its does not even restart with the power button on top...i can reset or take out the battery to shut down.....what do i do now...please help me
512k nbf
Hi
After I edit the nk.nbf file the resulting file is only 512k so the rom updater won't load it.
What do I do?
try using another version of typhoonnbftools
1. Downloaded the imate wm5 from here:
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/smartph...Updates/I-mate
The link doesn't seem to work for me. It poped up "error 503: permission denied".
Does anyone have the same problem. Where else can I get an imate wm5? Thanks a lot

Use ftp://[email protected]
you should be asked for login details, use xda as user + password
then navigate the folders starting with the smartphone then Tornado links, you should be able to find it from there.
New problem
I got another version of Typhoonnbftools and successfully edited the header of the file. Flash seemed to go fine right up until reboot. It restarted and displayed o2 splash screen (which should have been overwritten by the imate rom) and continues to bootloader.
Any more suggestions anyone?
wat i still dnt understand is that wen i run tera term pro i dnt no where to type the info 2
my problem now is how to know my tornado cid pffff

Installing HardSPL...

I'm attempting to follow the steps to install HardSPL, but for the life of me I can't figure this out...here's my issue:
1a. download the attached files
1b. pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step *is* important)
1c. connect your PC to phone with a USB cable
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
I can't do that because when I turn my phone on with no SIM card, it automatically takes me to the emergency dialing screen and I can't do anything else. If I take out the SIM while it's on, it automatically shuts off. Am I missing something here? There doesn't seem to be a way to run something on my phone with no SIM card in it...
Press cancel?
Yeah what he said, press cancel....
you can press cancel as they said or when you get to the emergency dialer just press the little windows button on the bottom left of your phone it will bring up the start menu!!
and just for your future info...please post your problem in correct thread.... thank you and good luck

Please respect the forum policies:
Fiirst READ, you should be able to just exit the emergency dial screen, the phone will run without a sim card and maintain all of it's pda functions.
Second, SEARCH...see my answer above
Third, post in the appropriate PREEXISTING thread. This question should have been asked in the thread related to changing the SPL, and there are several of them.
If you respect these policies you will find the people here much more helpful in the future.

I'm not sure on this error. Is it from the KaiserCustomRUU Application?
I;ve attached the one I use, just incase you need a different version.
If you still having problems, a little more info on what your doing at the time (and what you've done so far, Hard SPL, etc).
Thanks
Dave
I had this for a while and i thought it was a rom issue but all my older roms did it also.
you need to repair or reinstall active sync to fix it

I am having the same problem...I have the HardSPL flashed but when I try (and yes I tried the one that is attached to this post) and flash the ROM with the KaiserCustomerRUU exe. file it comes back "The update utility can not open the requested file. Please check your Update Utility".
How do I repair the active sync as it runs fine right now?
Do you have "Enable USB connections" checked?
Yep it's enabled and connected

did you try just putting your phone into bootloader (hold down the camera button while soft resetting with the stylus) and flashing while in bootloader?
In Windows Task Manager, check and see if rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe is running. If either one of those are not running, then you will need to reboot the PC. Also, you can try another USB slot on the PC. Everytime this has happened to me, a reboot of the PC always fixed the issue.

How do I remove EnergyRom on Diamond?

I'm a newbie trying to find the perfect ROM on a HTC Touch Diamond, I've followed the instructions posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211, and managed to install this ROM provided by Energyrom: EnergyROM_21864_DIAMOND_10.Nov.2009_StandardM2.5.
I'd like to install a lighter ROM that is as close to the standard HTC/ WM 6.5 as possible and am looking for recommendations. But first I need to remove the Energyrom and have no idea how to do this? Activesync works intermittently if I wipe the device, and set the activesync settings to not seek permission, and remove all partnershps from my PC. But as soon as I try to run the RomUpdate Utility it fails to run because off a bad connection with the phone. Then the Windows Mobility Centre just shows an error and I have to go through the process all over.
Any help much appreciated
Welcome to forums
No need to remove the ROM, when you find the new ROM you want to flash just flash it and that´s all!
Thanks Orb.. ...however..
...The real problem is the ActiveSync. Once I have used the 'wipe device' control in the settings, and removed previous partnerships, I can connect the phone via Active sync. However, by the time the Rom Update Utility is running it appears that the connection is dropped, the Rom Update Utility cant communicate with the phone and then when I reconnect I just get an Error Icon in Windows Mobile Device Centre. This is preventing me from overwiritng with a new ROM.
I would perform a hard reset instead wipe device option.
Instructions here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Diamond_HardReset
Try after HR and most likely should work, then you can change ROM
Still no luck...
Thanks ORB, but this still does't work, the phone is connected through activesync but all rom update utilities just stop with an Error 224

This is sooo frustrating - is there any way to fix the activesync, or some way of removing/ replacing energyRom, even getting the phone back to HTC standard would be better than the current state.
thnx
Flash from internal storage
Howdy,
Not sure I'd blame the rom, more likely a USB problem or activesync has always seemed flaky. Anyway do the flash from the device.. Copy about any ROM file to root of the internal storage area (either in storage mode or try active sync but it's slower & seems you're having issues) but name it DIAMIMG.nbh then reset your phone while holding down VOLUME DOWN & BACK buttons and you'll get the upgrade menu where it should tell you it found an OS rom & it's ready & you just press POWER button to start the process, resetting it when it says it's completed successfully.. That has been pretty much the way I've updated roms on the Diamond for a long time now (Really handy to have a few roms on there & just rename when you want to flash it..) & seems MUCH faster & much more reliable & should solve your problem.
Hope that helps.
Bill
