Installing HardSPL... - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I'm attempting to follow the steps to install HardSPL, but for the life of me I can't figure this out...here's my issue:
1a. download the attached files
1b. pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step *is* important)
1c. connect your PC to phone with a USB cable
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
I can't do that because when I turn my phone on with no SIM card, it automatically takes me to the emergency dialing screen and I can't do anything else. If I take out the SIM while it's on, it automatically shuts off. Am I missing something here? There doesn't seem to be a way to run something on my phone with no SIM card in it...

Press cancel?

Yeah what he said, press cancel....

you can press cancel as they said or when you get to the emergency dialer just press the little windows button on the bottom left of your phone it will bring up the start menu!!
and just for your future info...please post your problem in correct thread.... thank you and good luck

Please respect the forum policies:
Fiirst READ, you should be able to just exit the emergency dial screen, the phone will run without a sim card and maintain all of it's pda functions.
Second, SEARCH...see my answer above
Third, post in the appropriate PREEXISTING thread. This question should have been asked in the thread related to changing the SPL, and there are several of them.
If you respect these policies you will find the people here much more helpful in the future.

Have you read the wiki and the instructions? Did you load jumpspl? Did you disable the usb in activesync? did you disconnect and reconnect the phone? Did you run the hardspl ruuloader?
yes I tried loading jumpspl (by copying it from my computer to my phones folder and it wouldnt show up. and then i went to this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061 and I still cant get things copied over to the phone. Yes active sync is still active untill I try to run Hardspl, then it just shuts off and I get the grey screen with the 0% on it. I have my sim card and microsd card removed also.

Which Hard SPL are you installing, this would be easier to follow if you posted in the correct Hard SPL thread, but anyhow... I will assume you are installing Jockyw2001 3.* Hard SPL (sticky in this forum).
You need to have SSPL/Jump SPL running, Copy it to your device and run it. The default folder AS uses is \My Documents. So use File Explorer on your phone to find this exe and run it. If you have run the right version you will get a tri-colour screen (RGB). Then ensure you have your .nbh file in the same folder as KaiserCustomRUU, and run it. This should do the trick.
I'd recommend you get a little more familiar with your phone before trying this, if you are having problems copying files and running them from the device.
Thanks
Dave

copy jump spl to the documents folder on your phone and run it, some advise to take out any micro sd card first, then in activesync disable usb connection, then run hard spl. That should be it.

You might also remove your sim card. My Tilt didn't flash hardspl with it inserted.
You may consider posting this question in the apropos thread. For example the one you got the software in.
Seriously people.
This is a developer community not a spoon feed me the answer because I refuse to follow the "rules" forum.

[GUIDE] Rooting Orange Pasadena Branded ALCATEL OT-918 (v2.3.6)

The guide is for the Alcatel OT-918 (No D, N, MIX), single sim, Orange Pasadena, from Romania with Gingerbread 2.3.6, it might work on other versions to, but I can't guarantee that.
Care should be taken, while the Orange Pasadena is a cheap phone, modifying your software might turn your device in an unusable brick.
Unfortunately the Android version of this phone can't be rooted with superoneclick or other simpler methods.
First of all You need the following tools from the attached file:
USB Drivers
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.00
AlcatelScatterRetriever01 - optional
Universal recovery for Alcatel OT918 (2.3.5 and 2.3.6)
Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/74256292/Pasadena/Orange_Pasadena_OT918_root.zip
1. Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers
2. Create a scatter file with AlcatelScatterRetriever01,

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(alternatively you can skip this step and use the scatter file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder)
3. Run Flash tool and open the scatter file
4. Check only the recovery file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder
Double check that all other checkboxes must be unchecked!
5. Click on download
6. Connect the turned off phone to the computer, the progress bar should change its color and after a short while a small window with a green circle and ok should appear.
If it's not working remove USB cable, the battery, and reconnect the battery and then the USB cable and try again.
7. Remove the battery and the SD-card
8. Copy Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to the SD-card
9. Replace the SD-card and the battery
10. Start the phone with the Volume UP and Power combo (release first the power button)
11. You should be in the OT-918N recovery, and should install the file Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from the SD-card
12. Restart and enjoy your root-ed phone.
For UNROOT make a full wipe from recovery.
Repair information:
If you got an Orange Pasadena which would not boot or is in a bootloop, at step 4 select all the files from OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder and go on with the guide.
At step 8 copy to the SD-card deepROM 2.3.6. from http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=323769&st=2320#entry16968462 ,
the file from http://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=%2BFgTiMPQgqQjcFeH30tIoZnLBEVANGQz3%2BeBBWub5m0%3D ,
which is the only functional custom rom as far as I know for this model of the phone.
If someone needs a functional (but incomplete) stock image feel free to p.m. me.
Still searching for a full stock image, which will be posted here.
Thanks to qwe-, Linerty, elpopa, jman0, deep4512, breakk, @zoyB, cappa72, and all other who contributed to this guide.
Drivers
Hello,
At step "1: Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers"
Witch one of the drivers should I install? I've tried everything, but the phone it is not recognized by the XP OS, and therefore the ASR.exe cannot generate the scattering file.
Please help, with more detailed procedure regarding the drivers.
Thank you,
Stro
It works, thank you!
Is there anyway to install another, more stable, Rom.
Maybe an original OT-918 ROM?
Thanks.
guys, i'm trying to reinstall an ot-918 device, with luck, but now the sim doesn't work (I have an network issue). what can I do?
also I've tried to follow this tutorial to add the IMEI back ('cause now is null), but without any luck (I don't have any "write imei" button). can someone help me out please?

OMAP keeps reconnecting with USB connected and without battery

OMAP keeps reconnecting with USB connected and without battery.
I also can't go to the recovery mode and also not to the download mode. It's with the LG Optimus 3D (P920) So I basically can't do anything with it...
I mean, step 1 at this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337545 makes no sense whatsoever.
You have to start with your phone off, USB connected and when you follow the steps on 'start_fastboot.bat' it say
Please remove USB cable from phone
and wait until LG Logo in Phone
Then reconnent USB cable again to phone and wait procress

Install drivers to pc as in part 1 here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195753
then you can use Fastboot, Flash Tool, ADB, or whatever.

If it is blinking it is not installed. Uninstall what you have on pc and start again fresh. Read and follow all details carefully.

Nope, your tutorial didn't do the trick.
I even tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246001
At step 4, the phone does give a little BUZZ and white glow from the icons for a few microseconds but no logo.
I got the drivers installed (I think?) but the OMAP4430 keeps blinking.. I've tried Win8, Win7 and WinXp.
As I said, if it is blinking, it is not fully installed.
Then how? I've done the correct steps. :/
Maybe I've had to tell that my Optimus 3D is stuck in Security mode..
When it appears you must quickly right click on it and force install the driver in the Fastboot pack as described in my tutorial
YES! Finally!
AWESOME, I got it working and running again!
I followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246001 on a Windows XP system (clean install) and made it work!
The procress of installing the stuff wasn't the problem. I accidently figured it out!
All I had to do is:
1. Prepare yourself.
2. Keep the phone in one hand together with USB cable and battery close to being connected.
3. When you launch the [All-in-One][P920] keep the phone unconnected.
4. Press ENTER in the command,
5. Now it's time to connect this. Plug the BATTERY in the phone, keep VOLUME UP(!) and NOW plug the USB in it!
6. The command box notice the phone and RIGHT when it shows "Wait 5 seconds" quickly place the battery inside it and RELEASE the volume button (or was it the power? I forget hehe..) and then my LG Optimus 3D WITH Security Error rebooted into recovery mode.
7. In the commandbox you can continue the guide in this post. (I recommend TWRP as you can mount the phone without booting it and without Micro-SD card).
8. Download a rom that fits your phone (I did OptimusRS JellyCeam ROM, awesome rom!) and BOOM! Works like a charm!
Cool. I have not tried that tool.

data recovery from dead gpu z3

Hello
so after filming for 5 seconds underwater my z3's screen turned black and turned off permanently. though it seems to still turn on normally
after unsuccessful replacements and search on the internet the logical explanation was that the gpu is dead
so now i want to recover the data (photos, videos, music) i have on the internal memory
the device is locked by pattern lock so i can't access it when i plug it (it just detects the device)
i want to know if flashing will remove the lock without clearing my data
and if so how can i do it with a dead screen
best regards
I can think some ways of doing data recovery...
1: Safe method if you have recovery!
you can do a soft reset by pressing the button on the side of the sd card/sim tray.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Press it till it vibrates for a second time, this time it will shut down.
After this, you can turn on your phone and enter recovery (if you have a custom rom or kernel), in this mode you can fetch your files from the internal storage by connecting it via usb to your computer.
2: Use as last resort and confirm the internal storage wiping before doing anything...
Unlock bootloader (I cant remember if it does erase the internal storage partition or not) to install a custom kernel that has recovery.
3: Probably the second safest but it's needs searching the tools if you don't know how to use adb.
If you do have USB Debugging enabled in the phone, you can try to fetch files by using adb in your computer.
Open a CMD in the directory where adb.exe is located and write this code
adb.exe pull /sdcard/ c:/sdcardbackup/
Click to collapse
It will fetch your files from internal storage to a folder called sdcardbackup on your C:/ drive
Hope this can help you!
If you're going with flashtool, you need to wipe the data partition called userdata since there is where the config is stored but it also wipes the internal storage
hello thanks for the reply
1. tried no luck
2. bootloader is already unlocked and phone is rooted
3. i remember unlocking usb debugging (always do on android) so i will try this, i'll keep you updated on the results

Hi, as your bootloader is already unlocked try to continue with 2.
If you haven't installed a custom kernel try to install a kernel like EliteKernel, you can find it here in the forums.
Use flashtools and flash boot.img via fastboot mode on your phone, that way you will have a recovery working.
update
flashed Z3FotaTWRPV5.img into it and got it to boot to recovery
i just got my pictures including the picture that killed my gpu (ironic)
anyway thanks for the help... can i edit this to solved?

How to repair a soft-bricked Huawei Mediapad T3 8 KOB-L09 when update dont work

Hi all. Today iam gona show you, how to unbrick softbricked (bootlop etc) HUAWEI MEDIAPAD T3 8 KOB-L09 in HARD WAY(When update from sd and over USB don`t work
WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSE FOR ANY DAMAGE!!!
Firstable look on this site:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=828565
It describes how to do it if update from sd-card and update over usb fully works.
In this post, however, I will describe how to cope when both options do not work (the system does not recognize UPDATE.APP or update over usb does not work, or - after updating- tablet still continues to bootloop).
Ok, let`s start. Warning!!! It will be difficult and cost of money :/
Needed tools:
ADB & FASTBOOT
Additional drivers
DC-Phoenix(PAID!!) https://files.dc-unlocker.com/share.html?v=share/A5ABD248BD6D4FDBABDED15CE5046E64 or Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool (FREE!!! )https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=3850
EF-tools from Easy Firmware to login into site.
Pendrive with at least 4GB freespace and OTG USB cable or SD-CARD.
We gonna also need board software(paid) And full software assined to our device. Thank`s good`s not all is paid
This software - among other things - allows updating via SD-CARD and OTG cable. Unfortunately, it's Chinese.
Uff!!!
How to flash Board Software with DC-PHOENIX?
First: battery at least 70% charged (for safety), but it would be best if it was 100%.
Download and install firmware and drivers for you device.
Buy a credits for DC-Phoenix, witch allow you to doing flash.
Download board software from Easy-Firmware site
Turn phone into fastboot/bootloader mode (powerdown device with long-pressed power key, push VOL- button and connect tablet to PC).
Open DC-Phoenix.
After opening u will see a login window.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Enter the username and password, then log in to the server.
After login, u will see window with information, where u can get a tutorial to flash.
Regardless of what you press (yes or no), the program will guide you to main window.
On the right side u may choose update file and customisation file (usually main update file is in root of "dload" folder, and customisation file is in folder inside dload, but in case of "board software" the path-to-file ,after unpacking will be look something like that ~\KOB-L09C500B007\KOB-L09C500B007_降级包 ). In "Update firmware" tab we have two options: standard and advanced. Choose first one, and next in field "Update file" navigate to downloaded board software UPDATE.APP file. File will be loaded, and program will show you list of partitions to flash. Then press update button and wait for process to be end.
Tablet will be flashed with board software and reboot.
It may take a while to start. Do not turn off your tablet under any circumstances. This can result in a hard-to-repair software damage (hardbrick) what can result in the need to return the device to a specialist service. !!!
Well, we've received a tablet with the basic version of Android installed, with several test applications.
We do not need them.
How to flash Board Software with Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool
Download Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool.
Unpack and open it.
Select an UPDATE.APP file.
In next box select Android-Phone-Multi-Upgrade-Config-PCUI.xml file.
Click "Next", and wait until files will be loaded.
You will see another window.
Press together VOL+ and VOL-, then plug your USB cable and connetc device to PC.
Program will recognize device, else click "Scan" button in top of window.
Wait
Prepairng SD-CARD or USB drive
Copy the "dload" folder from the software appropriate for your device to the usb disk or sd-card. Then connect it with an OTG cable to the tablet or plug sd-card to device. Press and hold the power vol up and vol down buttons. The software update screen will appear, and update will start. When finished, the device will restart and you should enjoy "rescued" equipment. Another way is to boot in installed "Board" system, and select "SD upgrade" icon.
Unfortunately, I can not provide board software files because of the ownership rights.
It took me some time to find a way to repair it, so if u want to buy me a beer, that is my account number:
