How to repair a soft-bricked Huawei Mediapad T3 8 KOB-L09 when update dont work - General Topics

Hi all. Today iam gona show you, how to unbrick softbricked (bootlop etc) HUAWEI MEDIAPAD T3 8 KOB-L09 in HARD WAY(When update from sd and over USB don`t work
WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSE FOR ANY DAMAGE!!!
Firstable look on this site:
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=828565
It describes how to do it if update from sd-card and update over usb fully works.
In this post, however, I will describe how to cope when both options do not work (the system does not recognize UPDATE.APP or update over usb does not work, or - after updating- tablet still continues to bootloop).
Ok, let`s start. Warning!!! It will be difficult and cost of money :/
Needed tools:
ADB & FASTBOOT
Additional drivers
DC-Phoenix(PAID!!) https://files.dc-unlocker.com/share.html?v=share/A5ABD248BD6D4FDBABDED15CE5046E64 or Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool (FREE!!! )https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=3850
EF-tools from Easy Firmware to login into site.
Pendrive with at least 4GB freespace and OTG USB cable or SD-CARD.
We gonna also need board software(paid) And full software assined to our device. Thank`s good`s not all is paid
This software - among other things - allows updating via SD-CARD and OTG cable. Unfortunately, it's Chinese.
Uff!!!
How to flash Board Software with DC-PHOENIX?
First: battery at least 70% charged (for safety), but it would be best if it was 100%.
Download and install firmware and drivers for you device.
Buy a credits for DC-Phoenix, witch allow you to doing flash.
Download board software from Easy-Firmware site
Turn phone into fastboot/bootloader mode (powerdown device with long-pressed power key, push VOL- button and connect tablet to PC).
Open DC-Phoenix.
After opening u will see a login window.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Enter the username and password, then log in to the server.
After login, u will see window with information, where u can get a tutorial to flash.
Regardless of what you press (yes or no), the program will guide you to main window.
On the right side u may choose update file and customisation file (usually main update file is in root of "dload" folder, and customisation file is in folder inside dload, but in case of "board software" the path-to-file ,after unpacking will be look something like that ~\KOB-L09C500B007\KOB-L09C500B007_降级包 ). In "Update firmware" tab we have two options: standard and advanced. Choose first one, and next in field "Update file" navigate to downloaded board software UPDATE.APP file. File will be loaded, and program will show you list of partitions to flash. Then press update button and wait for process to be end.
Tablet will be flashed with board software and reboot.
It may take a while to start. Do not turn off your tablet under any circumstances. This can result in a hard-to-repair software damage (hardbrick) what can result in the need to return the device to a specialist service. !!!
Well, we've received a tablet with the basic version of Android installed, with several test applications.
We do not need them.
How to flash Board Software with Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool
Download Huawei-Update-MultiLoader-Tool.
Unpack and open it.
Select an UPDATE.APP file.
In next box select Android-Phone-Multi-Upgrade-Config-PCUI.xml file.
Click "Next", and wait until files will be loaded.
You will see another window.
Press together VOL+ and VOL-, then plug your USB cable and connetc device to PC.
Program will recognize device, else click "Scan" button in top of window.
Wait
Prepairng SD-CARD or USB drive
Copy the "dload" folder from the software appropriate for your device to the usb disk or sd-card. Then connect it with an OTG cable to the tablet or plug sd-card to device. Press and hold the power vol up and vol down buttons. The software update screen will appear, and update will start. When finished, the device will restart and you should enjoy "rescued" equipment. Another way is to boot in installed "Board" system, and select "SD upgrade" icon.
Unfortunately, I can not provide board software files because of the ownership rights.
It took me some time to find a way to repair it, so if u want to buy me a beer, that is my account number:

[Q] alcatel one touch 906 ROM

Hi to all. I just recently rooted my alcatel one touch 906. Is there a compatible ROM for my device. Here is my device info, for reference.:
Model: alcatel one touch 906
Processor: Qualcomm msm7227
RAM: 512
Android 2.2.1
Build: fsr.1.3.6.0_t10.16
Thanks in advance. I hope you can help me..
thread updating..anyone?? thanks..
My Alcatel T906 (Martini ?) dead after reset factory
I search on net and found firmware for this
http://www.mediafire.com/?1phq58wf0z0t19n
(Recommend using on Windows XP)
# INSTALL DRIVER
1. Remove battery and connect phone with PC
2. Insert battery
3. PC will detect and request for driver (follow guide in BRCM_PC_USB_Driver folder)
4. Change COM port to 4 (at this step I don't know why this device disappears quickly, so you must open device manager windows and change as quick as this device appear, but maybe this strange issue lead to bug that I will refer at the end of this)
# FLASH
1. Remove battery and connect phone with PC
2. Run download_froyo_1_3_6.bat
3. Insert battery
At the end, I saw error message as below screen, but finally it shows "Program Android New Image suceed"
{

}
But I remove battery and insert again and power on and wait for more than 10 min. but phone only show "Join our Android"
Can anyone help?
I tried the procedures above. It is working. Actually this one is to unbrick/ firmware flash your alcatel ot-906. Although I didnt get the error message mentioned above because i think the issue was the usb driver was not installed correctly. Here is what i did:
1.download the file ot-906.rar. save and extract the file.
2.install the broadcom usb located in your extracted file named BRCM_PC_USB_Driver.
3.make sure your phone battery is charged atleast 50%, or it wont flash.
4.connect your cable to pc, not yet to phone. remove your battery, then insert it back then plug the usb. your phone should be datected by your pc as usb to serial device.
5.now open the batch file named download_froyo_1_3_6.bat.it will begin the flashing process. wait untill it says finished or success.
6.unplug the phone.remove the battery, insert again. power the phone on. now just wait 5-10 mins before you phone completely boots up.it takes sometime to boot because your phone still configures the software.
Now your phone should work fine.

You have to change the com port (set to com port 4). sorry i forgot to mention that step in my post. after you insert usb cable to pc, make sure you can immediately access the device manager because the comport will hide itself after 2-4 secs. to do this, you shoul open the device manager before conncting the usb cable to your pc.

[GUIDE] Rooting Orange Pasadena Branded ALCATEL OT-918 (v2.3.6)

The guide is for the Alcatel OT-918 (No D, N, MIX), single sim, Orange Pasadena, from Romania with Gingerbread 2.3.6, it might work on other versions to, but I can't guarantee that.
Care should be taken, while the Orange Pasadena is a cheap phone, modifying your software might turn your device in an unusable brick.
Unfortunately the Android version of this phone can't be rooted with superoneclick or other simpler methods.
First of all You need the following tools from the attached file:
USB Drivers
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.00
AlcatelScatterRetriever01 - optional
Universal recovery for Alcatel OT918 (2.3.5 and 2.3.6)
Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/74256292/Pasadena/Orange_Pasadena_OT918_root.zip
1. Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers
2. Create a scatter file with AlcatelScatterRetriever01,
{

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(alternatively you can skip this step and use the scatter file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder)
3. Run Flash tool and open the scatter file
4. Check only the recovery file from the OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder
Double check that all other checkboxes must be unchecked!
5. Click on download
6. Connect the turned off phone to the computer, the progress bar should change its color and after a short while a small window with a green circle and ok should appear.
If it's not working remove USB cable, the battery, and reconnect the battery and then the USB cable and try again.
7. Remove the battery and the SD-card
8. Copy Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to the SD-card
9. Replace the SD-card and the battery
10. Start the phone with the Volume UP and Power combo (release first the power button)
11. You should be in the OT-918N recovery, and should install the file Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from the SD-card
12. Restart and enjoy your root-ed phone.
For UNROOT make a full wipe from recovery.
Repair information:
If you got an Orange Pasadena which would not boot or is in a bootloop, at step 4 select all the files from OT-918_Orange_Pasadena_Branded folder and go on with the guide.
At step 8 copy to the SD-card deepROM 2.3.6. from http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=323769&st=2320#entry16968462 ,
the file from http://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=%2BFgTiMPQgqQjcFeH30tIoZnLBEVANGQz3%2BeBBWub5m0%3D ,
which is the only functional custom rom as far as I know for this model of the phone.
If someone needs a functional (but incomplete) stock image feel free to p.m. me.
Still searching for a full stock image, which will be posted here.
Thanks to qwe-, Linerty, elpopa, jman0, deep4512, breakk, @zoyB, cappa72, and all other who contributed to this guide.
Drivers
Hello,
At step "1: Turn off the phone, and connect it to the computer (Windows XP/7) with an USB cable, and install the attached drivers"
Witch one of the drivers should I install? I've tried everything, but the phone it is not recognized by the XP OS, and therefore the ASR.exe cannot generate the scattering file.
Please help, with more detailed procedure regarding the drivers.
Thank you,
Stro
It works, thank you!
Is there anyway to install another, more stable, Rom.
Maybe an original OT-918 ROM?
Thanks.
guys, i'm trying to reinstall an ot-918 device, with luck, but now the sim doesn't work (I have an network issue). what can I do?
also I've tried to follow this tutorial to add the IMEI back ('cause now is null), but without any luck (I don't have any "write imei" button). can someone help me out please?

Softbricked my Oppo R7 Plus

Here, i rebooted it but now its stuck into oppo boot logo. I am not able to use fastboot. I factory reset my phone and cleared the cache and data from recovery mode but its still stuck on the oppo logo when i try to reboot it.

qfil or miflash or toolstudio...
This is not important for me.
You worked enough on my phone.
1. Download and extract my RAR files ---> HERE
2. Open your PC device manager
3. Connect an usb cable only to your pc then press and hold the phone volume + button and then connect the usb cable to the phone
3. In the device manager you will see Qhsub_bulk then release the volume+ button
4. Right click on Qhsub_bulk and choose update driver
5. Use one of the driver folders which you alredy extract to install the Qualcomm driver and you will see it like 9008
6. Your phone have to be charged very well for a few hours before you try to flash it.
7. Remove it from the charger then connect an usb cable only to your pc.
8. Try to press and hold the volume + and power buttons at the same time for a few seconds and connect the usb cable to the phone.
9. You have to see the driver in the device manager like 9006 (you can release the buttons) [it wasn't easy for me so keep trying]
10. Open the MSMDownloader and press start
11. If everything is ok you will see a green progress bar flashing. (I was stuck here with the "NON-HLOS.bin" file which you can see in the "Other NON-HLOS File" folder inside the rom which you download)
12. When the process complete in about 10 minutes you can remove the usb cable from your phone.
13. Now you have to do a veeeeeeeery long press and hold on your power button untill you feel the vibration and after that you will see the OPPO logo.
14. Leave it for 5-10 minutes to load the Color OS.
15. Ok you have a working phone but still some apps icons that are missing and the keyboard doesn't appear when you have to write something.
16. Download THIS zipped ROM and put it in the internal storage of your phone.
17. Shut down the phone then press and hold the volume - and the power button at the same time for a while intil you enter into recovery mode.
18. Choose english and then install rom from zip file. After the installation complete reboot the phone and you will get a working keyboard and few more apps like Browser, Chinese market and else....
For me i still need to insert the IMEI's because they are lost... and now i have message: Oppo nv backup. The NV partition is invalid...
Good luck to all! And if you want to give me a beer: paypal: [email protected]

Stuck in TWRP, cant connect via ADB, SDCard unavailable = Phone bricked?

Hello experts!
I followed this tut here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTlosea6SJE to root my Sony Xperia Z5 phone and to use a costum ROM. Everthing worked, but after (~09:00 min.)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
[I]Okay[/I]
fastboot flash revovery recovery.img
[I]Okay[/I]
fastboot reboot
and entering TWRP (2.8.7.0) by pressing ON + VOL DOWN
I am stuck here.
- I cant get a connection from my PC to the phone, its not recongnized anymore in ADB (result blank) after
Code:
adb devices
- the extra SD card (in SD card slot) is not mounted and the TWRP-mount option dont let me select "Micro SDcard" or "USB OTG".
- I cant copy images or zips or any files to the phone plus I cant read data from the ext. sd card (fat32, 4096 bytes) when inserted in the phone.
Asking for help:
How can I mount the SD card via TWRP-Teminal ?
How can I adb connect the phone to my PC again ?
Any suggestions to reflash the phone ?

[SOLVED] Re-flashing a ROM with TWRP only on phone
After failing to manually mount the SD-Card or a USB-Stick via OTG-cable through the Terminal with command line function, the xda-user L33Tgod gave me the (simple) tip via pm to use the flashtool and flash the phone with a valid ROM (again)... THX a lot L33tgod!
As a result, I can access my phone & my SD-Card again. Now I have a working ROM on my phone and I am no longer stuck in a TWRP-Menue only, without the chance to communicate with the phone via ADB etc.
So I followed the below how-to (nothing new, I know, but the solution for my problem)
Flash your FTF firmware file
This section details the steps needed in order to flash new firmware onto your Sony Xperia device.
First of all, open Flashtool and then click on the lightning bolt in the top left of Flashtool as highlighted below.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Select “Flashmode” and click “OK”.
You should already be in the source folder where the FTF firmware files are located. If not, navigate to: “C:\Users\[Your PC Name]\.flashTool\firmwares”
Select the firmware build version that you want to flash from the “Firmware” pane. Ensure the device variant is the same as the model number of your Sony Xperia device.
If you want to retain your apps, data and media (photos, videos, music), then ensure that the “USERDATA” option within the “Wipe” pane is unticked. However, we recommend that when upgrading a major new Android version, a clean install is the way to go. In this case, tick all options under the “Wipe” pane. This will wipe all of your data though including your photos and videos, so please ensure you have these backed up elsewhere.
IMPORTANT – For FlashTool 0.9.19.10 and older: If you skipped Part 2 of the guide as you already had your own FTF firmware file, then you may see the following ‘SIMLOCK’ option ticked under the “MiscTA Exclude” pane. DO NOT untick SIMLOCK as it could lead to problems with the network lock on your device.
IMPORTANT – For FlashTool versions 0.9.22.0 to 0.9.22.2: The developer has changed the meaning of the tick box in newer versions of Flashtool, which means ticking the box includes “SIMLOCK”. Either way, you want to ensure you are NOT including SIMLOCK when flashing firmware. So to be clear, when presented with the “SIMLOCK” option below, you must NOT tick the box.
NOTE – For FlashTool 0.9.22.3 onwards: The developer has disabled “SIMLOCK”, which means you no longer have to worry about accidentally including it in your firmware flashing. The option is only enabled by entering ‘Pro’ mode. Unless you know what you are doing, then stay well away from Pro mode.
Click “Flash”. Flashtool will then indicate that it is “preparing files for flashing”.
You may have to wait around 60 seconds for the pop-up below to appear. Once it does, you should now connect your Sony Xperia device. Make sure the device is powered off and then hold the ‘volume down’ button whilst connecting the USB cable. Once the pop-up disappears and flashing has started, you can let go of the ‘volume down’ button.
Flashtool will then start flashing your Xperia device.
Once you see “Flashing finished” as indicated below, your Sony Xperia has been successfully flashed.
Congratulations you have just installed Android Marshmallow! Now disconnect your Xperia device and power on the handset. Don’t worry if it takes a while for the handset to boot, this is to be expected.
To confirm that you have upgraded the phone software, click on ‘Settings > About phone’, which will reveal your new Android version and firmware build number.
If you would also like to confirm the region firmware that you have downloaded, you will need to access the service menu option. To do this, open the dialler and enter the following: *#*#7378423#*#*
Then click ‘Service info > Software info’. The CDF is an eight digit number under the “Customization Version” that should tie in with the firmware you downloaded from XperiFirm. For example, you will notice below that the CDF (software customisation version) of 1298-7362 matches the same firmware that we downloaded in the XperiFirm screenshots above.
Thx to all the helpers !

"Alcatel A30 Fierce" ROOTED/On-Going

Hello, I'm new to this- all of it, I've only just recently got into rooting and such things, but I'm progressing and that's what matters, no?
Anyway, I've successfully managed to root this phone via Magisk, that no one probably cares for anymore through trial and error and I'll do my very best to explain my method, and give updates as this is very on-going, there are certain issues and things I need to work out, but I appreciate any help, pointers, and such as before mentioned, I am new.

ALCATEL A30 FIERCE - Specs, and Specifications.
This phone was released in August, 2017.
Display - 5.5inches, 1280 x 720
Camera - 13 MP (Single Camera)
Hardware - MediaTek, 2GB RAM
Storage - 32GB, microSDXC
Battery - 3000mAh
OS - Android 7.0 Nougat
My own notes about this device.
Lots of MetroPCS Bloatware, can be a bit janky, but it's manageable.
It does not have a traditionally accessed Bootloader, no "adb reboot bootloader", this command just restarts the device to system.
Fastboot is odd, I managed to access Fastboot by some way I don't entirely understand, I'll go about what I did to get there later on in this post and try to recreate it later on as this post updates.
This device has colour states (if that's commonology), meaning, once the Bootloader is "unlocked", you will get an "Orange State" message before starting your phone that gets in the way of some things, I have yet to fix this, but I imagine we will if this gains traction, there will be a quicker fix!
No TWRP yet, as of posting, flashing a ported twrp.img through MTK_TWRP, or the TWRP_Port has not worked, and after flashing, neither will flashing the stock recovery but I've a quickfire way of getting around to fix this, if I can.
MTKCLIENT - https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
My Process, in the system, press the build number seven times to enable developer options - enable OEM Unlocking.
Then enable USB Debugging, and make sure you've installed adb and fastboot, as well as the correct drivers.
Through that link, follow the instructions specific to your operating system (I use POP OS and WINDOWS 11, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THE SAME AS ME), you may use the mtkclient_gui for an easier experience.
To unlock the bootloader, which will trigger "Orange State", open your terminal in the directory of the mtkclient and run python "mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc", then, with your powered off device, and it will say something along the lines of "Preloader - Waiting for Device", with your USB Cable, and your wits about you, hold the volume down button (if this doesn't work for you, hold both volume buttons in" and plug your device into your PC with that command running. If the command completes, then run "python mtk da seccfg unlock", and this will unlock your bootloader.
WARNING: Unlocking the bootloader wipes the data of your device!
After this, dump your boot vbmeta with the commands in the mtkclient instructions, if this does not work for you with python or python3, I will provide the required files below.
Then, power your device back up, and install the patched magisk-app and push it to your sd card through adb, or traditional file transfer.
If you have your boot.img, push it to your sd card and patch it with magisk, then retrieve it from your phone - this is where my tutorial and mtk's tutorial take a bit of a turn!
I had a problem with the "reconnecting to preloader" phase, as it would not go through, or an error labeled [Unpack Requires A Buffer Of 12 Bytes] would crop up which prevented me from flashing the required files through "python mtk w boot,vbmeta boot.patched,vbmeta.img.empty". Let's go through some cautionary steps, what I did to achieve perma-root.
Create a funny-named file in the mtkclient directory labeled "DUMPY", do "python/python3 mtk_gui" and connect your powered off phone through the previously mentioned volume holding until it connects you in BROM mode. Under "read partitions", select all partitions, then "read partitions" and make sure the output is that "DUMPY" folder. This process will take awhile!
Once it finishes, rename your patched magisk-boot from [magisk.img name] to "boot.patched.bin" and under "write partitions", select the boot partition and write the boot.patched.bin to the boot partition! Once finished, start your device and install a root checker! It should be working!
If there are any errors, I will do my best to try and help you but keep in mind, I am very new to this, I hope it works for you too!
