Hey guys,
I cannot send (probably also receive) a MMS message, my gprs settings should be fine because I'm able to download weather information, I did allready a soft and hard reset.
I get messages on my screen:
connecting to Vodafone MMS
and then cannot make connection
what am I doing wrong?
thanks in advance
Maybe you should mess around a bit with the Vodafone settings. With the normal Vodafone settings received from the network I can open internet pages, but I cannot receive e-mails. When I change the settings to NOT use a proxy, both work fine. Maybe this works for you too.
Mmm.... I had to create special connection with special settings to be able to send MMS. But my provider (which is Vodafone partner) provided all info to me...

Fortunately I am on Vodafone NL, but I have a business subscription.
My AP: office.vodafone.nl, but for non-business users I think it's supposed to be live.vodafone.com.
Username: vodafone
Pass: vodafone
I'm not using a proxy.
I finaly managed to get it working
I changed so much now I don't know what did the trick... but I don't care about that now.
thanks for the replys

Thanks ahead of time
John
It would help if we knew who your service provider and email carrier
were? You mentioned T-Mobile for one!

Does anyone know where I can get the GPRS/MMS settings for the above phone and can I get them sent via Text Service Message in the same fashion as Nokia do ?

iMate themselves dont have them for any Irish operator, however you can get them at
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=106942
I've configured an iMate Jasjar and an SP5 to work with Vodafone Ireland without any problems, i.e. Internet and MMS work perfectly
Thanks Dude for the info there can get the GPRS working but not the MMS
Anyone here got working GPRS/MMS Settings for O2 Ireland Billpay as I-Mate do not have cab files or settings there.
If I get this working well then the phone will be full functionally and I kinda miss the MMS
Thanks in Advance
PS... Have tried O2 Ireland to no avail

I was going to suggest this. But looks like you have already done so.
It does strike me as odd that they can not help you.
what sort of n00bs do they employ over there ?
Hi Guys,
Does anyone have the MMS configuration settings for the HTC Touch Pro on the Vodafone network? I have tried the Diamond settings but with no luck. Quite annoying having to login to vodafone site each time I get a mms.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
...Diamond settings?
The HTC Network Wizard (Connection Setup) should do you the trick for GPRS and MMS settings; its in Settings/Connections/Connection Setup.
Hi,
I meant the touch diamond. Trying the connection wizard now, wish me luck!
remember that once you have the settings on your device, you need to send an MMS from your device before you will be able to receive them

You might be right! Which ROM are you using? Where are you from? Who is your carrier?
right now I am using PDAUltimate - from North Eastern US - carrier = AT&T

see if this solves your problem ...
that allowed me to send mms...however still no go on receiving MMS or Email.
This is very unfortunate for me, as I receive work emails on my tilt..any other help would be GREATLY appreciated.
did u use connection setup?
use connection setup to automatically configure ur connection settings (internet and mms)...it doesnt come with every rom so ppl tend to forget it....

Thanks for your help guys
I have the following problem on my almost new Desire S.
I browsed the forum, but did not find an answer
i have the correct configuration for both MMS and 3G data.
Test case A)
If I configure only 3g APN, internet is OK, but no MMS (of course)
Test case B)
If I configure only MMS APN, internet does not work (of course) but MMS are perfect.
Test case C)
This is the very strange case...
if I configure both APN for 3g and MMS... internet is OK, but MMS do not work at all...
Sending MMS gives me "generic network error" message
When I receive an MMS, it contains only the text and it display a message saying "can not download"
Any suggestions?

Sorry, I can't offer any sensible advice, as all I can think to suggest would be to do a full reset and then re-setup from sratch, which is probably over the top.
I've never had to manually play with APN's myself. Can you get the VODAFONE website to send you the APN's you need?
I already reset the phone to factory... almost 3 times.
Since 3g APN and MMS APN work fine separately, they are correct.
Yes I get autoconfiguration sms from vodafone, but no chance to have mms and 3g working together

Sounds like a visit to the Vodafone shop or a call to their technical support phone line might have to be your next step.

Try the app: apn global, could be due to apn issues.
