x-mini cable needed - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Accessories

have you seen this:
http://x-mini.com/XminiHome.html
i bought the single version for 20 euro's. the sound is amazing from a speaker that small. and it comes with a rechargable battery, that can be charged with the diamond charger. (it really is amazing. when i turned it on i went wow, and so did everybody in the room, which is about 15 meters long)
it connects to the sound source with a 3,5 earphone plug. but the speaker itself has a miniusb connection for sound and power.
has anyone seen a connector that has extusb on one side and miniusb MALE on the other side? or miniusb to miniusb with sound connected?

Would something like this with the correct male/female miniusb cable work?

no it needs to be male to male.
and not as bulky

Tilt External Speakers

I am wondering if it is possible to use the USB connection on the Tilt for attcahing it to external speakers. Is there any audio output directed throgh the USB port?
If not, can anyone recommend a blue tooth device that will allow communication from the Tilt and end up into an Ipod style jack that I can then plug into the Ipod port of the stereo system in my truck? (No factory blue tooth.)
Thanks to all.

Tilt's USB port has audio out. I use 8525's usb headset that I had laying around to listen to songs at work.
Thanks for the reply!
I will try to find a headset. I can then cut the headphones and attach an audio input instead of the earphones.
Can you recommend a brand other than the factory set?
Also, would anyone know where I can find the USB port layout?
Thanks again to all.
I cut the usb plug off my old htc herald headphones and put a 3.5mm jack on the other end. I then bought a cheap mp3 dock with speakers. Plug the usb jack into the tilt and the 3.5mm into the dock. The sound is pretty darn good. The dock works off 4 aaa batteries and gives me 8 hours of tunes. heres a pic with my old mda in it, it works just fine with my tilt also.
Someone should make a HTC dock with speakers that runs off batteries so its portable. I bet they could sell a few.
Adapters for the Tilt/8925 are available all over the web. USB on one end, 2.5mm or 3.5mm on the other. You can get them for 6 bucks here: http://www.tiltdepot.com/
adapter
I have a kaiser and just got the usb to 3.5mm adapter for 7bucks. I have a tape deck in my car so I bought a ipod tape to 3.5mm adapter now I have music and can run tomtom too even at the same time through the car speakers. I like that dock too!

Bluetooth Audio Adapter - BT to 1/8" stereo plug?

Ok, im my mind, this does not seem like much of a stretch, although i have not been able to find anything like i am thinking. What i picture is a relatively small (about 30 mm diameter) bluetooth adapter to stream audio too. The "button" would have a 1/8" stereo adapter coming out the back side so that you could plug this into a aux input on a car stereo, or whatever else. Right now, i have an 1/8" 90 degree adapter to a 2' patch cable to a 3/32" to 1/8" adapter, to the ever so wonderful HTC usb to 3/32" audio and power adapter. This is a pain in the ass. Bluetooth stereo headphones are out. Hell, bluetooth GPS recievers are out that are around the same size that i am thinking this (from what i know) non existant device should be. Can anyone help me out here? All i want is a (small) bluetooth device that has a 1/8" stereo jack on it to plug in my car without the need for any wires.
Does such a magical device exist? Cheers.
.eric
it exists I have one but I haven't used it with my XDA Flame yet
MSI made it, and there a new model out
I have this one, I think it uses A2DP

How to play music from Diamond in the car?

Is there any way to do this through the power slot (cigarette lighter)? Thanks.
No lol, you will need some sort of connection to your headunit (either via bluetooth [ad2dp] or usb or a line in or something else along those lines)
I use a fm-transmitter in my car for this, there are several different types of transmitters ( bt, cable ).
Just search for fm-transmitters for mp3 players.
Here are some options http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426599

The connector looks different, the one on the Diamond is flat on the left side and that one isn't?

Well, suprise, suprise.
Actually, the mini-USB connector fits Diamond connector though they may seem to be different.

Does it charge the diamond?
Thanks for the ideas, I actually just got the adapter from HTC and I'm gonna go to Fry's this weekend to get a Belkin FM transmitter

the Mini-USB is exactly the same as HTC's variation, the only difference is the outside shape, the HTC one is cut down. Both fit perfectly.
for the car buy Parrot MK6000 , it's cheap an has a great stereo sound ...
i use the cassette adapter with a mini-usb to female 3.5mm stereo adapter... works great

I just received the FMtalk NT-039_DP (bought it from Ebay) and it DOES NOT charge the diamond when pluged in. The transmitter seems to work well. I have yet to try the phone with it.
I use one of those tape adapters connected to the HTC remote. Works really well as a hands free kit also. Bonus!!
first off beware of belkin just took my back fin horrible if any thing get a kensington hundred if not thousands of times better
I use the y cable which splits the mini usb on the bottom of the diamond to a 3.5mm plug and a mini usb. I then use a car charger into the mini usb to charge the phone while a 3.5mm to phono cable plugs into the back of my head unit, allowing for music, calls and sat nav to all go through the car speakers. Works well and the people say they can here me clearly when using it as a hands free kit.
i use the motorolla T505 acts as a speakerphone and fm transmitter

Car Aux lead

Can anyone please point me to a proper car aux lead male to male 3.5mm with the four contact plug on the SGS end and a standard stereo one on the other end?
Is it just to connect it to the 3.5mm jack on the head unit in your car ?
Yes that is correct. I really want the type with the proper SGS 3.5mm plug on one end though as the normal stereo plug can cause crackling and other problems as it can sometimes bridge connections.
To be honest it looks like your going to have to buy a 4 pole 3.5mm jack & a stereo 3.5mm male to male cable & strip one end off & solder the wires to the correct pins on the 4 pole jack.
Here's the pin layout for the Galaxy 4 pole 3.5mm jack
Everywhere I've looked I just can't find the cable your after, they all seem to be 4 pole 3.5mm jack to 3 way rca/phono outs
Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. That is exactly why I posted. lots of video cables or audio RCA but not one that is properly set up for the car aux. Weird with all the MP3 and mobiles you would think there would be loads.
Normal 3.5mm to 3.5mm works great on my stereo.
No crackling or whatsoever.

That's been my experience too.. And most SGS owners use their own headphones..
Thanks all. I am a little pedantic I'm afraid and like to use sockets and plugs that match but the good news is I have found a work around solution for pennies. eBay is my friend http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140404013716
Nice find

[Q] Need AUX + mic cable

Hey guys, I have my old Orbit 2 (Polaris) car mount in my car for use with my ne DHD (which is an absolute perfect, tight, unobtrusive fit btw!). I have a usb charging cable and phono-to-phono cable hooked up behind my dash to allow for charging and audio through my car stereo. Thing is the calls arent great for the other caller (I have to put on loudspeaker for the caller to hear me speak), possibly due to sensitivity of the DHD mic.
Anyway, I was wondering does anyone know where I might get a good long AUX + mic cable such as the one that comes with this car holder ... http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/windowseat-handsfree
I want to see if this will have a better mic sensitivity and pick up my voice better while driving.

You need something like this:
http://www.kvconnection.com/product-p/009-243.htm
The price on this one is a rip-off but that's basicaly what you need to get it running. Plug it in the phone, then plug the cable you already have installed in the headphones output and you need to buy a good quality microphone, plug it in the other female connector and then install it in your car so it can pick up your voice.
Or if you don't use your stock headphones and you are good with the soldering gun, you can buy two female 3.5mm stereo connectors, cut the headphones cable and make the y-cable yourself. Or even use the headphone's microphone and install just one female jack, connected to the headphones' cables. You can try if the headphones' mic will work - just plug them in, point the microphone to yourself where you intend to install it, start the engine and call someone.
