Hello all im new here,i did try to look for my question but nothing simular came up,so here goes.
I recently broke the screen on my orange spv c550 and for the life of me cannot figure out how to get the contacts off the phone(no not stored to sim )
I have active sync but dont know where to start or how to do it with my phone(would be trial and error though as i cant see thing lol)
Any help greatly appreciated
How broken is the screen? You can install Active Sync on your computer and connect your device. Your computer will either see it right away or you will have to set it to sync when cradled in the Menu->Connections on the device (right side, then 2nd choice from the bottom)

You can probably use this application..

You can actually use a lot of the knowledge in the forum regarding the HTC TyTn (Hermes 200) as your phone is similar... I believe the 6700 is just the Verizon version of the TyTn; just like Cingular's 8525...
Hope this helps...
So the screen on my Wing is cracked and the display is totally gone, luckily with the help of friends on here i have been managing with the 'mobiler exe' and checkin my messages/calls on my PC via active sync....anyway my question:
Is there any repair step by step manuals/sites/threads out there on how to replace the LCD sceen yourself...i havent found any for the wing (herald) specifically...my new screen arrives today so i would really appreciate any info...
-thanks
please tell me more
i have the same problem and have been trying to access the data on my phone to no avail. active sync only lets me get the stuff i dont care about like music files and pics. i really need to get to my contacts and tex messages. how did you do that?
search my user name 'timace' and my last thread 'help!!!'...i had the same problem but got great help, i ended up purchasin a new Wing and had to transfer everythin from one phone to the other. I used 'mobiler' for the broken device and ran PIM it backs up all your contacts/files etc...and automatically saves the info to your SD card so when you put it in your new device all your contacts and info are there...
Hi All,
I am havin Orange branded Kaiser.
All of sudden Sync not workin, so cant connect to computer, so I have decided to send it for repair.
But now problem is cant revertin back to soft SPL, Guys any Idea I can flash SPL through the MicroSD.
I am really stucked pls help me, will really appreciate
Thank you
sounds like your **** out of luck did you read the sticky on the top that explains how to do so? and maybe the rom you flashed was causing active sync not to work? was the phone charging? did you have the settings set correct seems like a strange thing to send a phone in for repair for to me
Can't sync is usaly a setting issue. Hard-Reset device first. If it still does not sync, send it back.

I completely agree, try other USB ports and try another computer.....
Thank you 4 yr responses Guys
I already have tried with diff. sync cables and diff. computers. I tried diff ROMs(includin HTC original shipped) as well but nothing happen.
It does charge the device perfectly but One thing is bit weired it is when you enter in bootloader mode(Camera+Power+Reset) on the top in tri color screen it shows the info abt SPL version and at the bottom it shows "Serial" and when you connect to PC with sync cable it shows "USB" and if you connect with power cable only it stays with "Serial" so at least device itself recognise connection type which is normal but doesnt connect with PC, there must be something blocking the connection in the device, what I think there could be a virus.
I am really in trouble, I desperately need original SPL to revert back 4 warranty
Pls help me
Thanx
My Fuze's screen bit the dust. The phone works and I can receive calls, but the screen is 99% dark with some thin grey-blue stripes on the right-hand side that almost look like a bar-code. Not too worried because I bought a Tilt2. However, I need to know how I can get my contacts and texts off my Fuze to my Tilt2. Ideas?
get mymobiler connect the fuze to your computer run mymobiler and you should be able to see your screen from there... granted i hope you already have the program installed on your phone.
On the other hand if you sync your phone regularly, you should be able to pull out your contact list from outlook and sync it in when u put your tilt 2 in. text wise, if you're lucky you have a PIM backup in your microsd slot you can restore it from there.
Hi XDA experts.
I have found myself in a bit of a quandry.
My HTC Ignito touchscreen failed while I was on holiday. ( no entry possible at all =-(
I just go back, and have been trying to backup the phone.
I have read all the threads I can find on the subject, and tried to install EveryWAN and Mymobilier software. The problem I have is that the device is stuck in HDD mode, as I set it to go to that mode automatically ( with hindsight a stupid move......)
Therefore EveryWan and MyMobiler will not connect to the phone.
I want to backup my contacts and download the holiday pictures.
I have seen some mention of adding a file to folder 2577 on the HDD to autorun, is it possible to use this trick to set the device to activesync ?
I am a programmer by trade, so dont be afraid to suggest something complicated and off the wall, I will try anything to get my contacts back !
I have ordered a new HTC Desire to replace it, maybe there is a way to swap data across directly ?
I have been on to HTC Support, and they are out of ideas, they say there is no way to change the activesync mode remotely =-(
Looks like i am screwed =-(
