Clean WM6 ROM

Is theire somebody who is able to make a clean (compleet) basic rom lik e orwell 1984? Only orwell didn't have a camera function.
I'm trying to clean up the faria rom but until still unsuccesfull. I'm using Faria because I believe at this moment it's the best / stable and fastest rom, but I don't need so much programs. For programs I prefer an other developer and some I don't want to usee. But because these programs are integrated to the rom you can't uninstall them...

There was no office apps in Muns ROM or was I just blind ? Cuz I put it on and then went with fahira ROM cuz of the office apps.

They were in the start menu, if you chose not to show it there, it was moved to the programs folder i think.

Yep, as Golfernutflorida mentioned, the Office apps folder is in the Start menu on mUns (and I believe thats where it was at in MBE too). So they are there and they work (I've used Word and Excel a few times now on the mUn rom).
Also remember that Faria has said he's coming out with a Vanilla rom also. But I do have to say I'm pretty happy with the mUn rom right now so am staying with it for now.

Ok good I will try again. I knew they had to be there. BTW how is the battery drain on the mUn`s ROM specially with data usage ? Cuz Faria`s ROM the data usage drains the battery like crazy, and thats the main reason that I want to switch to a diffrent ROM.

If you can wait a little Faria has said (repeatedly) that he is going to release a vanilla version of his WM6. My sense is that people keep PM'ing him and asking for this over and over and over... I think that kind of 'interuption' only delays the release (because there is only so much time in the day...)

That's way I don't ask ' ROM-developers' by PM. They all are doing a great yob and when they have someting new, they tell us. I think they are going mad for all the pm's they receive.

That is mUn rus s first release modified by nottoosmart.
The one we were referring to in this thread earlier is Farias vanilla WM6 that has not been released yet.

Dutty's WM6.1 Rom?

Why can't I find Dutty's WM6.1 Rom? ...or is it that it don't exist yet?! Which I would find very strange considering Dutty's usual pace is 3 Roms before going to bed ....
Its just that I'm using his ROM 6 V3 for my Tilt and its been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to me. Funny how one guy can make the WM6 platform more stable /useful in mere days of work than MS and their "team" of experts taking 2+ years..

Oh.. thats why. I went to his new site and found the latest to be V4 of the Polaris for the Kaiser, I believe.
BTW: can you share some thoughts on Dutty's 6.1 beta you're using. Any bugs?.. warnings?!

[Work in Progress+SneakPeak] Just2Clean Strikes Back! [Updated 05-15-08]

I'm currently working on a newer port of Just2Clean. That's not the important part, though... the image is stored in a different type of compression that, although makes the cooking process longer and a bit more complicated, may yield HUGE space savings.... so hopefully, if all goes well, you might see the first 70mb free... I might even create a "crippled" version just to see how much free space I can make.
This is going to be a 19213 build. It will be released and shortly after, Just2Stuffed will be released. Hopefully, even though it will have all kinds of useful apps, it will STILL be great with storage.
The picture is from a test. It's no where near complete. It's a SYS-19203 and a XIP 19199. It's fully functional except for the missing task manager.
EDIT: Now I'm running a new build. For some reason my XIP and SYS numbers didn't change... but anyhow, I'm getting 69.50MB free (72.12mb total) and 32.13mb RAM free (51.81 total)

Damn! 70mb?? never thought id see the day. Anticipation is a Bit*h!

Just2Clean zcink edition is the best rom on the market. The only thing I can think of to improve on it is if you increased the Storage to 70mb. Totally Awesome!

Also, it seems as if Aserg's done this before, too. Of course, if it's incredible, I almost expect out of him, of all people.

out of curiousity, why isn't the physical capacity of the phone ROM reached?
it has 128MB ROM right? So what's eating the other 50+ MB of the phone? Could it be 50MB+ of firmware? If so... are we treading dangerous waters by slowly creeping up on the low level phone firmware?
EDIT: Now that I think about it... its probably the actual ROM thats taking up the 50+MB..... Just a little confused as to why it wouldn't say 128MB total, 60MB used or something like that. (instead of subtracting the OS memory from the total memory)

The ROM is subdivided into multiple parts. Those parts are the following:
The SPL (Think of it as the OS's bootloader.)
The IPL (Think of it as the BIOS.)
The Radio (The "firmware" that controls how a phone talks to the network.)
The Primary Splash (The first image you see when you turn on the device.)
The Extended ROM (Where providers store cabs that are automatically installed whenever you hard reset the phone.) [Format: TFAT16/12]
The OS. (Obviously, the Operating System. This is what most of you will touch.)

No. That's with WIFI/Bluetooth and everything still intact. Camera works, bluetooth should work but I haven't tried it, same with wifi. Everything so far works just as well as the normal Just2Clean. ^_^

he uses a BS theme for the today screen instead of the usual HTC Home and other stuff.
I have this sneaking feeling that thats not the secret, though

Oh no. This is just my Just2Clean ROM made in a special way... let's just say that it's made on coals instead of a gas oven... it takes longer to cook but it tastes better.
I'll be teaching everyone how to do it once I get to that lesson in the classroom.

Is it possible to access WPA2 AES encrypted wireless network with this ROM? Or some patch may be... ?

WM6.5 universal Tomal rom problem

Hi everyone...
I've installed WM6.5 on my universal device from Tomal rom:
ROM version: D.09.00 TML WWE
ROM Date: 07/18/08
Radio version: 1.18.00
Protocol version: 42.54.P8
the ROM was installed with no problems in the installation, but when I run it everything works fine, every single feature , except: phone (clickable but doesn't open), and contacts ( it open and close immediately).. When someone call the phone, it doesn't ring..
kindly , Is there any solution for this problem?
by the way , I installed TML_Contact_FIX_for_v2.5.cab fix... but it did not improve the situation.

I´m using the same ROM without any issue
What you can do to solve:
- Try to reflash
- Deactivate windows default in settings- today- items to gain more memory
If you have 64mb Uni this ROM eats a lot of memory, so try to uninstall some apps and try again

Most likely issue is lack of memory to start phone services.

I recon 6.5 is not worth trying until you get the upgrade to 128mb done, then they say it runs just fine.

I´m using Tomal 6.5 and yes is a little slow but I can live with it!
Normal sleep hours: 3-5.5....

And I can confirm it's working OK!

Have free at least 8MB RAM. The Menu 6.5 still have problem crash image.
