Flying away to Polaris - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

Guys,
With all respect to anyone here who helped me out developing technical and cooking skills, knowledge and of course..making friends around the world, I wanna say: A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!
I'm going to another plataform after two years of Wizard dedication. I made a lot of friends here, learnt a lot and built cool custom roms.
I decided to move away after a huge battery crash. As reported in one of my threads, battery life only supports 500 charges during the whole operational life and course, after these years of suffering, there wasn't no way to revive her I got a new brand one and sold it.
I'll be around as usual and keeping support and coaching on demand. I sold my Wizard for 450 bucks to a local guy after several months trying to get a good price. Now, he's gone!
I'll now start a new journey in Polaris forum and start doing things up there to keep my creations always up to date and delivering what I now have as an addict!
Feel free to contact me if you still have doubts about my ROMS available here but also to say hello. I'll be always prompt to reply.
I had really great time over here and I appreciate it a lot! Hours of fun!
I'm leaving this forum but I'm sure that I left great works behind me.
Take care all of you and those specially people who supported me during my time in Wizard forum!
Hope to see you guys all in the surround area!
Best regards,

pooo mancada heim!!! ficou me devendo a wm 6 em ptbr =(
quem sabe eu um dia nao consiga aprender e eu msmo me vire ;P com ctz vou te encher bastante precisando de ajuda!
fiquei triste!! mais de qualquer maneira! boa sorte com seu novo brinquedinho!!

Hey mister!
Glad to hear you buddy!
Well, things happens all the time and now it's time to move on to a new pride!
I'm sorry for not giving you what you were expecting in terms of our local ROM but I still have the tools to cook but not the device to test!
Count on me if you need help....PM!
I'll take a breath little bit enjoying Polaris and then start doing those creative monster again!
Hope to see you around!
Take care!

We'll miss you around here. I'm still having as much fun (work!) as I can with mine, so I'll be here a while longer. Stay in touch.

I've really enjoyed your roms - and your help. Our loss is the Polaris boards gain. drop in now and then - let us know what we are missing over there.
Have a good one
Bill

You are an asset to the forum. I remember your work with touch roms. Hope you have a good journey ahead. Thankyou!!

Hey guys!
I really thank all of you! I was off handling a project in my professional life!
Well, today I'm very happy cause I just got my new techtoy! A brand new Polaris device
Have a lot to do from now on and course...setup my own Polaris ROM!
Samy,
I also remember those cloudy days dealing with Faria's ROM and you were there helping me out trying to figure out so many problems I had! Thanks mate! Thanks a lot!
jwzg,
Thanks you too buddy for all support and kind words we both had in this forum!
I'll also be around sniffing and helping others!
and Bill,
Thanks for having helped me out during those tests over my latest ROMs. I appreciated it a lot!
Take care guys!

Sad farewell

Well all, the ride was great and I had alot of fun cooking the NTS series of roms. But like all good things, there comes an end. I have decided that it is time to move on from my beloved wizard and have purchased a Motorola Q9h Global. I wanted to thank all the chefs and users who have participated in my releases and in the forum in general. I wish you all the best of luck.
Hey Nottoosmart!
It was nice having you around! Good and constructive contribution is always welcome.
And i do know, that even if just to reminisce....u will drop by once in a while!!!
All the best with your Moto Q.
this saddens me
have tried your roms and all I can say is that you are a gem to this forum please try to visit us once in a while and please do try to contribute
Hi,
Thank you for all. Your first Rom was a fantastic step forward for us all.
Thank you
Sorry to hear you're leaving. I enjoyed your ROMs very much. You're a person of great talent, and I'm sure you'll contribute a lot wherever you'll be going.
Have fun with your new Q9!

bro this is my experience... after trying to upgrade to 8525 i still went back to 8125
this may not be relevant but I still find that wizard is the best thing that happened to me ... maybe i can call this a bug that you have given to me really like how wizard work aside from being sturdy... gonna miss you man
Thanks for everything
When I first found this site, and started to read and understand the idea behind flashing and upgrading - your roms (NTS) were usually at the top of everyone's must have - or dare I say, best roms out there list.
Wish you all the best - thanks again
Have a good one

Master-Chef Ranju - A Special Thank You

Hi Ranju,
This thread is in your honor to say special thank to you!
This is for the hard work you are doing for the Uversal forum and especially cooking such fine, stable, fast and beautiful ROMs for the UNi!
Many master-chefs have moved on and/or are busy. Leo, Beasty, Jwrightmcps, thingonaspring, mo3ulla, mwang, and dear NNCoung.
And then, I saw some good news here:

I will be back Developing Roms for the Uni at some point, however work commitments and emigration plans are taking up all my time at the moment.
I still have my Uni and still plan to get back to Rom Dev at some point (when I get a little more time on my hands)
Cheers,
Beasty

Ranju's Latest V7.6 Rom
Dear Ranju, You did an excellent job on cooking this rom. I use my Qtek 9000 for my companies need which I am a heavy window mobile smartphone user which I had previously Jason's latest rom for the last few months which had two or three small bugs. I was under the assumption that Jason had the best rom on the forum which I read over the last few months everybody else's cooked rom on the forum and I was very hesitant on changing to a different rom. Before I switched over to your lastest rom Ranju I kept reading over the forum that "Ranju's Rom" was the best over all the other cooked windows mobile v6.0 & v6.1 roms. Everything at this time is working smoothly with no problems at all at this time. I have only been using your last rom now for about 1 week. The only small problem that I am having since I had my device upgraded a few months ago by PocketPCTechs from 64mb to 128mb of ram out of Fountain Valley, CA is by using your rom which supports the 128mb is my two battery's are draining faster than when I was using Jason's latest rom but his rom would only recognize 64mb of ram. My two batteries are still pretty new. I use a Cameron Sino 1750mah Battery & a Dynapack 3800mah Battery. I have read all the possible things that I have to do on the forum to cut back on draining the battery but I can live with this. I can recharge battery always when it goes below 60%. I am still testing your rom and have not tried the entire features yet. Once I fully get done trying out all your features I will sent out another detailed post on the forum so other readers can see this also. Keep up the great job that you are doing Ranju. Your hard work is greatly appreciated which takes many, many hours to cook up a Rom as great as this one. Once I get entirely done testing out all your current features in your current V 7.6 rom and am 100% satisified, I will make a donation.
Sincerely yours,Haven Park West, Inc.
helllo Ranju.
just have to chime in here, and also send you many many thanx from switzerland;-)
without your excelent ROMs I would still be wanting to replace my Uni somehow.
But with theese absolut great updates of yours, my Uni is still running strong.
thanx;-)
keep it up
Hi Ranju,
Just one more greeting from Spain.
Thanks a lot for all your lovely job for all of us.
You make all of us a very happy people.
Please follow on this way.
Just.... T H A N K S
Ranju have made a wonderful work indeed.
I'm also grateful for his free hard work.
I'm only sad all Devs abandoned the WM6.x Video Call project. Beast is the only one claiming is working on it, but he seems not having time to work on it.
It's a shame most developers abandoned our lovely universal, but until now I just can´t find a replacement for my old Uni...
A bit pathetic lol.
Hi thenext1,
Excellent work on Retro PPC. Keep up the good work!

Ranju is obviously on a steady path to perfection.
Keep up the good work, we all thank you so much.
I have to agree with the sentiments expressed here. Ranju makes excellent ROMs, and I'm very grateful to him.
Well done Ranju!
Cheers,
Steve.

Thank you Chefs. Happy Thanksgiving from USA

Mod: Please feel free to move this thread anywhere you feel appropriate. I was thinking of creating it in "Off topic" but afraid they might not see it. My apology for wasting your time :-(
Anyway, Thanksgiving is around the corner for some of us in the U.S. The intention of this thread is to give some of us an opportunity to say "Thank You" to all the chefs for all their wonderful work. I know we said plenty in their ROM's thread, but this is special without clustering their thread.
I want to personally say thank you to the following chefs for their wonderful ROMs. I know there are many out there, but these are the one that I use (order of chefs has nothing to do with the quality of their ROMs. They all GRRREATT!!).

Plus to more chefs
i too would like to say thanks, adding Ruppy & Alex.
From Maryland USA... Happy Turkey Day to all, and to all a good night. (oh wait, that's later)
Thanks
I agree too, from Campeche, México. Regards

Thank you all for your time, effort and ofcourse for the roms you keep producing and the knowledege you provide us with...I would have thrown my kaiser against the wall a 1000 times if not for you guys....

Same here - THANKS TO ALL THE WONDERFUL CHEFS, YOU GUYS MAKE OUR DEVICES HAVE PRODUCTIVE PURPOSES OTHER THAN BEING A PAPER WEIGHT, THANKS AGAIN!!! - Glendale Heights, Illinois.
i would also like to thank the chefs for being the only reason an htc phone is still worth buying.
+ pdacorner
+ anthine
I also would like to say thank you to all the wonderfull works of all the chefs and moderator here from this site, i admit that without this site i wouldn't more appreciated my HTC devices. Thank you again.
Agreed! Happy thanksgiving to everybody!!! Hope we get some good thanksgiving meals! Oh wait, we might have them already
+1 All Around!! -Apologies for the insanely long Thank You post-
I had originally had a giant reply typed out then decided to do the spell check feature annnnd it promptly refreshed my page and deleted EVERY BIT OF MY REPLY!! lol
So, we'll make this relatively short:
Chefs: You guys simply OWN. Everything. Period. The end. lol I would have already destroyed my TILT had it not been for you guys and all of your insanely hard work. I've tried my hand at cooking but I've come up rather empty-handed. I managed to make a working Apache ROM but can't make a successful one for the Kaiser and I know how much work I put into trying to make it work so I can only imagine how much time and effort you guys really put into making these works of art. HTC and the various carriers really owe you guys a hhuuggee THANK YOU and wouldn't kill them to toss you guys a few dollars here and there for what you guys do. While PDAs may be popular in the business world, XDA and all the chefs and contributers have made them something that new phone users all the way to uber tech geeks would love. I do believe that had it not been for this site and all the people involved that a LOT more people would be stuck with generic phones (not to knock companies like Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, Apple...ok...so I'll bash Apple for hours lol...but HTC has all but run away with the PDA market and I love it) that wouldn't or couldn't do half of what they want. A big complaint I hear from people is that the stock PDA ROMs are too hard to work with or is just too much phone but once they see what all customizations that XDA offers and just how easy this place has made it to break free of crummy stocks then they jump at the chance to have a phone that they both love and can effectively use so, with that being said:
HTC!!! SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY KEEP YOU EMPLOYED AND KEEP YOUR PHONES FLYING OFF THE SHELF!!!
=]
I do believe that this site should be on the company payroll lol
One of my biggest reason that I stuck w/ my TILT was the fact that I stumbled across this site while looking up info on it and was THRILLED to see what all I could do with it. (All we need now is a motion sensor and some REAL 3D drivers **hint hint hint hint @ HTC** and TRUE TouchFlo 3D support lol)
Anyways, so much for that being short =]
I just appreciate you guys so much more than you'll ever know.
There have been soooo many times that I have wanted to simply DESTROY my TILT for not having something or not doing what it's supposed to but then I hop on here and VIOLA! I find just what I needed to know to fix it.
I don't think I've ever been as happy with a phone as I have been with my TILT and I've owned a LOT of phones and even used to work for a third-party retailer of AT&T and Sprint phones so I got to play with a LOT of different phones (which include the Samsung Instinct, the LG Vu, the Palm Centro, a trillion different variations of Sony Ericssons, several BlackBerrys and even the oh-so-disappointing Apple iPhone) and I always laughed when people asked me which phone I owned and when I pulled it out of the case they'd all just stare at it and drool over it (and it's nicely customized ROM. No more ugly stock rom =D ) Needless to say that I think me carrying my TILT around at work probably killed a few of our phone sales since the only place we offered it was online and the AT&T corp store had it in-store lol
So thank you, thank you, and THANK YOU!! =]
You guys rock!
Happy Turkey Day to all from the great state of Alabama and here's to all of the awesome people here in our XDA family!
NOW GO EAT SOME TURKEY!!!!!!!!!!
I just picked up my first PPC, the FUZE like a week and a half ago... knew nothing about flashing or even installing apps. Flashed ROMeOS yesterday and am loving it!
Thank Chefs!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone

[HALL OF FAME] The "THANK YOU!" thread. <3!

Feel like you owe someone?
Is there someone/something that changed everything on your device for nothing in return?
What or who revolutionised the way you use your device.
Don't be shy. Spell it out! You can use as many words as you wish in this thread without being afraid you are spamming the forum with Thank You's!
( No nudity please and please follow common sense )
So I guess I'm first then
TWolf!
Every now and then I have found these small fun apps and eyecandys for my device but it was actually today that I realized that 70 percent of them all where made by YOU! I just visited your website and I'm speachless man.
THANK YOU! YOU MAKE MY DEVICE MORE PHUN TO USE!
Now, please tell me another way of buing you a beer without me needing to play those online games of yours LOL I'm a dad of two and my online time is precious and VERY LIMITED
DuttyThroy
Yup - been around cooking for a long time he has.
Thx man.
The wiki & forums.
Up until yesterday, I had no idea how to unlock a phone and now my old 6800 is unlocked, has WinMo 6.5, GPS enabled w/ iNav and doesn't look like **** anymore. I read through most of the docs and the process went rather smoothly.
Thanks!
I would like to thank the all mods. They do a good job keeping this place in order, and if I need a good laugh, I can just read one of the many conversations they have with each other.
And of course, I'd like to thank Flar, for keeping this site up and running in the first place.
And lastly, I'd like to thank all of the members of this site who contribute, solve the problems of others, and help everybody customize the crap out of their devices, all for absolutely nothing in return. That's what this place is all about.
Dave
Thank you very much.
I'd like to thank Larna for makiing and releasing the source of the first iContact.
Schaps for the Advanced Configuration Tool.
DotFred for PimBackup.
Waku for WkTASK.
These every day tools make our lives easier.
And all the developers and cookers, that make our devices better.
i would like to thank, anichillus, nothin, dsixda, faria and many othr rom cooker for making our device usable.
Thanks to Tomal on Universal forums for keeping alive one of the best HTC devices ever!
Also to Beasty and Laurentius for their hard work on Uni in the past years
And of course to all dear Mods for keeping this site in peace!
A special thanks to Flar and Peter for keeping alive and running ok this great site!
Thank you to all of us!
XDA-DEVS, the best site on the WWW!!
Cheers,
First wow this is an old thread. I wasn't going to touch it, but I was thinking of starting something similar.
It needs to be said that everyone on xda deserves some thanks, for their initiative to become members. Big and small there is great need here and true talent.
I thank everyone who truly helps me. It is remarkable how effectively I can get a question answered. There is enough people and enough talent to recognize all the small problems and tackle the seemingly undo-able.
Its good to reflect on all that has been accomplished here.
MMuzzy's ROM is clean and fast. He's a great guy that does fast good work. I'm really amazed at how active he is and responsive he is to everyone. Kudos man!
Hashcode is an amazing developer who works with many devices. I'm glad he isn't leaving us DROID 3 owners in the dust. Thank again Hash!

Official Thank You Thread for CYANOGEN !!

Dunno why its official xD but c'mon lets give cyanogen a big applause, some hurras xd and SOME RLY THANKFUL GREETMENTS
Thank you for all Cyanogen !!
I'm all for Cyanogen and his hard work. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful cooked rom!
making a donation would be a good start
did this really need a thread? i mean he knows how much support he has behind him but does every single individual feel the need to go and start their own thread about either: thanking cyan, how to solve the problem, or how google can go F themselves ... kinda ridiculous dontcha think? ... not just picking on you but this is a general rant
But yes thank you Cyanogen for the greatness that is YOU
Thanks Cyanogen
Reading about your work was what made me buy a G1 in the first place. Android would suck if it wasn't for you and the other Dev's. I will continue to enjoy my G1 for now. I wish you the best sir. Thanks again!
Your my Hero CYANOGEN

se que no es conmigo xD pero como todos eran threads de ooh google vs cyanogen, que se puede hacer para que sea legal, y demas cosas, era mejor dejarnos de joder y hacer un thread para darle las gracias realmente
now english way, know that you're not picking on me, but the others threads were all, cyanogen vs google, what can we do to make it legal, and that stuff, so its better the quit *****in' it up and make a thread to really thank him .
Thanks a lot Cyanogen! Your ROM is one of the main reasons why I bought a MyTouch 3G. Let's hope I don't have to sell it thanks to Google.
Cyanogen is great, although I have never used his Roms since I need certain features, I am aware that it is by far the fastest and smoothest Rom out there, not to mention his amazing work on recovery
I hope he does not let this deter him, google should release an app for syncing contacts and downloading market apps for the pc, especially for custom android devs, such as this case
if they don't, o well, there are plenty of pirates who dont care
Google loses either way
Big Thanks
Your roms were always great and you got me hooked into checking XDA daily again.
Cheers
Thanks a lot for your hard work cyanogen. Dont let google beat you down. I love your roms and I hope you find a way to keep releasing them in some other way. Big thanks and a big applause for you!!!
cyanogen, you are the reason my confidence went up 100 percent, not because i use Old Spice Swagger and their colognes.
jk but man, you are the king of developers. everyone on this forum owes you something in a small way. people use your roms as judges for others.
"hows the madaco compared to the newest cy build?"
idk how many people realize what effect you have had on this small community, but it is felt on each new thread and on each new rom or each new theme.
you will win this fight!
ALL HAIL CYANOGEN!!
Thank you, cyanogen!
at first there was jesusfreke now there was cyanogen...two of the best devs gone but atleast cyan & JF are still contributing to the android community
thanks cyanogen for giving us that cupcake and donuty goodness
Cyanogen, I have been a fan of your work since I first rooted my G1 and stayed faithful to your work when I bought my MT3G. This whole Google thing sucks, but I know that you won't let it keep you down. You will come back with your head held high and stronger than ever and when you do, you will be the talk of the town just like always. We are all supporting you, whether we use your ROM or not. Now that shows just how big of an impact you have had on the Android Community. I just want to say thanks for all that you have done for us. Your legacy lives on!
I'm going to buy you a beer tomorrow
Cyanogen I love you.
Cyanogen love your work, thanks for all the countless hours you spent giving the community what we really wanted from our devices.
Thank you Cyanogen for your amazing and invaluable contribution to the android community and to us users. I'm staying with CM v4.0.4 which has been super stable and provides me with everything I need and more from a smartphone.
This is both the wrong forum and yet another topic on this matter. There are already far too many of them.
