I wasn't sure if this was only a forum for phones or all WM devices but I have an ipaq hx2755 that no longer can connect with activesync and I have tried everything. Does anybody know how to create a cab file for the gamepad software so I can use this again with my WM5 ipaq? Only way I can get things installed/re-installed is through copying to storage cards.
Any help or pointing in the right direction for this is much appreciated.

Hi all,
I have to setup a bunch of windows HTC mobile phones remotely, and talking the users thru the steps and loading the correct software is extremely frustrating and time consuming.
I do have remote access to their PC's, so ideally it would be great to just remote the PC and see their device that is attached via USB to the PC.
Does anyone know if there is some software that will allow me to remote the PDA and take control from a PC?
Thanks in advance.
my mobiler is a freeware app that does exactly that.

if you have to install it on many mobiles you may want to just cook your own rom with the software you want already built into it.
there is a program called my mobilizer... I think. while you have control of the customers computer, have them connect the device then install the program. I use this when im setting up my phone. so much easier.
ill try to get a link soon

Thanks guys, My Mobiler looks perfect going to test it now on my own device.
If you can remote to thier PCs, use the MS powertoy available for mobiles. Found here:

CE Remote Display. Just make sure all your users with PDAs have it installed on thier PC and the PDA. Lets you "drive" the PDA while it's connected via USB (or bluetooth and wireless I think but have never used those).

Hi all
i have the remote desktop aplication on my wm6 but......
what i need is that i can:
lock the setings so that user cant change them
or like on the workstation with *.rdp files make it open direct into the remote computer not asking about anything.
is the posible either with the build in or with a freeware rdp software.
bedst regards

First I wan't to tell that I'm new to both Windows Mobile and this forum. I've found some very usefull informations, great to see so many people around here ready to share usefull advices.
I'v bought Samsung i780. Working great so far. WM 6.1. Professional installed. But I have problem when it's connected with my PC. I cannot connect it with cable at all, but mannaged to do it via bluetooth connection. Here is the problem: when I transfer instalation file (.cab) for some application, everything going well, but I cannot find the .cab file on memory card via File Explorer. What's the problem?
I don't have the instalation CD, and I can't find drivers for PC on the net, do if someone share the ink with me I would be greateful.

Hello all. Hopefully this is the proper place to ask this.
I'm in search of ActiveSync for a Windows CE device that does not have it. Would anyone be able to point me to a .cab file to download or a way to extract it from another device? The device in question is a GPS unit with Windows CE that is being modified. The problem is that ActiveSync isn't on it so it can't be networked over USB.
What's the brand of your GPS unit? Most of this GPS devices cannot sync
Rightway RW400. I'm actually helping someone else for this.
I have no idea, I've searched before and never found anything. Maybe try a network drive or similar
hey guys, im really sorry but i dont know where to post this first. so i'll just start here.
im after some info or/and advice about my ipaq hx4700. now i know this model is pretty outdated... but i like it .
now my problem is that some of the software i am trying to use only works with Microsoft bluetooth stack.. but the ipaq hx4700 comes with built in Widcomm drivers. is there anyway that the widcomm drivers can be replaced with the microsoft ones? i understand there may be conflicts along the way,but is it possible? maybe via editing registry? or if not... are there any apps/software/drivers to mimic the microsft bt stack? maybe progrmmed visual studio??
ive tried every rom i could get my hands on.. from windows mobile 03/05/06/6.1/6.5 most of them are 'cooked' roms, but still wrong divers. good OS tho. i have read a few pages on 't'internet' where ppl have replaced micosoft drivers with the widcomm drivers via registry + installing the DLL files, but im not sure on how to reverse the situation with the appropriate drivers. i can do this operation in Windows XP but not really familier with CE. ive also read that you can extract the ROM and change part of the OEM section, then rebuild and flash. i have all the software and hardware for such operations, but for some reason i cannot extract any of the ROMs :/
Any help or advice would be really great.
Thanks.
