My yahoo music doesn't recognize my S710 as a valid device after installing a cooked rom. Is that just the nature of the beast? Do you lose the ability to support DRM when replacing the rom with an non OEM?

Hello,
i've got a Maqma MQ-NV701 (PNA) and it has a S3C2410X prozessor (samsung)!
My question is, is it possible to access the ROM (files in it) via USB ?
Because i've got no access to the Win CE 5.0 desktop,
any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Marius
activesync does not allow you to view these files, but it is possible to see the regitry through third party programs......
So to answer, yes i'm sure it is possible but not through any software i am aware of.
(unless you do a dump of the rom of course)
Just download total commander on your ppc and you can "access" the files from that.

----------SOLVED------------
I got an image from a japanese company who still produce that device! Thanks anyway!
Below is from the SPB Backup user manual. I even found a specific reference of upgrade from 6.1 to 6.5 (which is what I want to do). Has anyone tried backing up 6.1, flashing the 6.5 ROM, and then restoring from the 6.1 backup? It sounds like this is what the manual suggest you can do. Is that possible?
Any Ideas?
SPB User Manual - Device and ROM Upgrade Modes - Now you can safely upgrade your device ROM or change your device and seamlessly restore your data. SPB Backup will automatically detect if the restore process is being performed between different devices or ROM versions and prompt you to select the upgrade mode to perform.
HTC TP2 - T-Mobile
WM 6.1 Prof - Stock ROM

Hello, now I have an HTC HD7 with the lastest Mango installed (without internet sharing but with hidden wifi option). Now I found this new ROM [ROM][Update_05_Nov]ROM_HTC_HD7_FullyUnlocked_and_ISharing_Stock_5.10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324094&page=1) and I'd like to know if:
1) Is officially updatable (in future) with Zune without re-locking?
2) I don't have HSPL installed now, if I want to flash this new great ROM, how can I do? I have to install HSPL? Or it osn't necessary (it's a Stock ROM I think!)? But I read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647 and if I understood right, I can't install HSPL, because I'm running Mango?!?
3) This ROM is interop-unlocking, so if I register at Microsoft App Hub, will I be able to install an infinity number of apps? Or I have however the limit of 10?
4) Is possible to connect to hidden Wi-Fi?
5) Are all the apps updatable via Marketplace?
Thanks for answers, Androyx96
Sorry for my English but it's not my mother language.
1. Probably No. DFT ROMs aren't updateable using zune and probably with others custom rom it will be similar.
2. Need to get an official NoDo ROM so it revert your SPL to one that it's compatible then you can use HSPL LAUNCH and Install the custom ROM.
3. Can't Response about that
4. Can't Response about that
5. Do not have the ROM but as usual as have tried 3 different ROMS all the apps where succefully updatable via MarketPlace
Thanks for the answers!
hi
i have a problem for sending files!
when i select a file for sending,
the destination phone ask for a password(pair code)
i entered any code in destination phone but the process of sending file do not start!
what do i wrong????
i tested on two nokia phone!
I have similar issue trying to send files from my phone to my wifes:
Me - Nokia Lumia 710: Windows Phone OS ver 1600.3015.8107.12070
Wife - HTC ChaCha: Android ver 2.3.?
Both phones are unlocked running with Virgin Mobile UK SIMS.
Pairing pass code works and each phone appears to connect, except my Windows Phone then says... unsupported device
The file transfer by bluetooth from Windows Phone 7 to other OS phones are not allowed yet, much like iphone.
Well, BlueTooth file transfer is possible on Windows Phone, it just requires full-unlock (meaning a custom ROM) and a few new system files. No solution for stock ROMs yet.

My response was to @piknik67 and @lamborg. I'm not sure what to do for your case. Did you ask about it on the DFT BT File Transfer thread already?

Yes you need a full unlocked device and then you can use the DFT bluetooth file transfer, that's the only possible way for now atleast. Not possible if you don't have full unlock.
Wondering if Tango refresh build 8773 has this? Not read in documentation and will be updating soon so will see for myself I guess

Hi. I'd like to try a custom ROM in my Lumia 710 and I have few questions about it:
1) Is there any ROM that would change Lumia's USB PC-connection to standard USB storage mode (just like USB-sticks, digital cameras, Android phones), instead of that complicated Zune transfer?
2) How about backing up my current ROM? Is it possible to revert back to original ROM after flashing a custom ROM?

try using the custom rom Rataplan, just search it, then look for a guide which will explain how to install the custom rom, then install Windows Mobile Center as well Zune, then you will be able to see your folders
