I have here two devices, one (the original) is:
rom 1.88.514.1 PTB
data 02/01/08
radio 1.27.15.21
proto 22.51.88.13H
the other I changed everything
Now, for warranty purposes I need to change it to the original state.
I just dumped the rom from the first one, but donĀ“t know how to get the radio...
any help is welcome!

Dear fellows,
I am still at a dead point (my S100 is screwed and the OS is gone!)
I have seen several methods listed here to reflash the OS but most of them require the GetDeviceData output file to modify the original ROMs. Unfortunately I can't run anything on my PDA... It would be a great help if a kind S100 owner would run the GetDeviceData on his handset and post the output file for me. Do not worry, it doesn't hold any sensitive data. Just device model details. Any S100 device, any language... would suffice.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Silver.
...at least the Operator for QTEK...
C'mon guys... help me.
Here ya go...
Operator ID: DANGA001
Qtek S100 bought at Dangaard Norway.
Thanks...
...but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe an Italian PDA would be required.
I am afraid I have to send the PDA back to the service...
Maybe you can try the following:
- Set your Qtek in Bootloader mode
- Connect it to your pc
- Start the update program of the Qtek ROM 1.06
- The installer will not find any version of your current ROM because it is in bootloader mode, but it will allow to update it
- flashing...
- done
Hopefully it'll work for you.
And I will test it further, but this looks like the way to update the ROM without editing the ROM files...
The other alternative that worked for me:
I have a Dopod 818 ROM which I screwed up. I can't therefore read its country code with GetDeviceData.
I used the following to flash the i-mate ROM:
http://www.clubimate.com/Support/ma_cdlsku1_wwe_10300_143_10100_ship.exe
Then I upgraded with qtek 1.06 successfully.

Hello All,
Firstly let me apologize if this has been answered already, but after hours and hours of reading I am still unclear on a few points.
I want to be able to take a complete backup of my Stellar before I update anything in case of any future problems, so that if need be I can revert it back to the same state as it is in now before sending it back to O2.
1 - Is this feasible / possible?
2 - I know I can unpack and repackage the OS ROM, but what about the radio / spash logo & SPL?
3 - Can all the CID, Security and SIM locks be replaced if required?
Can anyone recommend the best course of action for me to take, so that I can dump everything first, in a format that can be easily re-flashed, before I start to load HardSPL etc and then suddenly find I am S.O.L and cant return one component to the original version..
If anyone would like copies of the original Firmware / Logo / Radio etc after I manage to dump them.. I'll be more than willing to share - provided you dont mind giving me hand with dumping etc
FYI - Here are the Versions on my device:
Radio: 1.27.12.32
Protocol: 22.45.88.07H
ROM Version (from Bootscreen): 1.82.00.00
ROM Version (from Device Info): 1.82.206.1 WWE
ROM Date: 10/04/2007 (Not sure if thats 10 April or 4 Oct)
WM6 Pro. CE 5.2.1622 (Build 18128.0.4.4)
Model No.: Kaiser
Thanks in advance...
you could try searching, someone has probably done all the dirty work in dumping and reconstructing the o2 rom already

From what I can tell, but I may be mistaken, this ROM is a different version to the Shipped / Reconstructed ones on the Kaiser Wiki...
Also, the splash logo on my Stellar, is definately different to the O2 splash logo that is available via download... Mine shows a 'wireframe landscape' while the other is the same bubbles splash that I had on my Wizard (O2 Xda Mini-S)...
I have a Stellar and would love a copy of the O2 ROM as I have flashed without backing up so if you manage it I'd be in the queue for a copy.
there is a rom available, but it doesnt restore the spl or the front splash screen. anyway these could be extracted?
hi
where is the rom located?
O2 Stellar ROM
seconded! I too now need the ROM, but have searched the site and the FTP to no avail, anyone have a dumped ROM that they can point me too please...
TIA
Try

... you are a lifesaver
(not too sure why I could not find that myself tho )
Guys ,
I have a question to the dev's & pro's of this forum as I am having a strange problem.
Now, I bought my device with the following fw version:
1.56.405.5
22.45.88.07
1.27.12.32
It also had an Ext.Rom with some stuff of my operator (Turkcell)
When HTC released the WWE 6.1 upgrade, I couldn't resist and did the trick with the 5th digit and the update became available for me.
I downloaded it and to my surprise I didn't even have to HardSPL my device in order to perform the upgrade, did it successfully and had no problems ever since.
But now HTC has released a ROM update (not 6.1) which IS intended for my device.
Version is:
RUU_Kaiser_HTC_TUR_Turkcell_2.50.480.0_radio_sign_22.51.88.13_1.27.15.32R2_Ship.exe
Now it comes:
I am unable to flash this firmware to my phone and have to HardSPL it first, otherwise it won't work and I get the 'Invalid Vender ID' error.
What do you guys think ?
Has the 6.1 upgrade somehow permanently changed the vender ID of my handset ?
Or what else could the reason be ?
Thanks in Advance for your comments.
Just an FYI, the Kaiser does not have an extended ROM.
You flashed a WWE 6.1 ROM to your device. Your SPL would have been updated along with this. The original "ship" SPL on your device probably allowed WWE ROMs to be flashed in addition to Turkish ROMs. Now that you have a 3.xx SPL from an HTC WWE ROM, it will block the flashing of any non-WWE ROM.
You will need to flash HardSPL if you want to revert to the Turkish WM6 ROM.
RUU_Kaiser_HTC_TUR_Turkcell_2.50.480.0_radio_sign_ 22.51.88.13_1.27.15.32R2_Ship.exe
The TUR indicates the ROM is coded for Turkish devices.
Hello,
thanks for your reply.
That sounds interesting and also makes sense.
Yes, I live in Turkey and bought it directly fm the shop of my operator, but the language of my device was English.
And I'm sure that the Ext Rom was present before the 6.1 upgrade, as I could see it in a separate line in 'Device information'.
And when I skipped the customization (where it says 'It will customize your phone in 5 seconds...') via soft reset right after a hard reset, it didn't load the operator stuff and the ExtRom in Device Information didn't appear.
Well, it seems there is no way back (unless I'd HardSPL it first).
I'm stuck with WWE, which actually isn't an issue for me.
My only concern is that I would like to flash the original ROM back in case I would have to make to use of my warranty or if I should consider selling it within the warranty period.
It's weird that your device would show anything related to an extended ROM because I remember the discussion at the Kaiser's launch back in September, and it definitely does not have one.
As far as reverting for warranty, if you ever need to do so, there is a thread with a very detailed step-by-step process explaining how to. In your case you would need to flash HardSPL, and then start following the guide.
My TyTN II had an Ext Rom.
Maybe they have introduced it in later batches or only for certain regions.
Here is the content of the PP_ExtVer.xml file I had in this firmware:
- <wap-provisioningdoc>
- <characteristic type="Registry">
- <characteristic type="HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM" translation="filesystem">
<parm name="ExtROMVersion" datatype="string" value="1.56.408.8601" translation="filesystem" />
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>
And yes, I have already studied that thread, but since I would have to flash it to HardSPL first, it wouldn't set my device 100% back to its original state.
Maybe if I could find my original SPL and flash this one to my device first, I might have the chance to flash a/m 6.0 ROM update on top of it, but unfo I haven't backed up my ROM, nor is it available anywhere.
Well, I guess I have to live with it
Like I said in my last post:
You will have to flash HardSPL at first, but then you can follow the instructions to load your original carrier ROM and your original SPL.
It's a very simple process.

I was reading the Wiki/FAQ and found this thread and still have some questions on the ROM Radio configuration.
I have a tilt I got from work and the reception is attrocious, so I am under the impression that the ATT ROM and Radio have more affinity for the ATT network than Tmobile (which is my guess because my old Wing had much better signal). What I notice from the list of Kaiser ROMs (on the Wiki) is the only official Tmobile ROMs are for the Netherlands and the UK. My guess is that I wouldn't want to load those since I live in the US, plus the official OS build is 19124 in the ATT tilt instead of 19212 in the other builds.
My question is: Can I mix other Radios to better work on the Tmobile network? Do I need to clear my ROM from the official ATT to another HTC ROM? Does the ROM clear the Windows build so there wouldn't be a compatibility issue, or does it only work for the cell phone service (device communication portion sort of like a DOS on windows 98) and therefore the OS build is independant of the ROM and Radio? Do ROMs and Radios need to be properly paired or can I trial and error it?
I've been looking for some of the answers but the weren't overly appearant from the FAQ and Wikis. Hopefully I didn't gloss over the easy answers somewhere on the site.
Any thoughts? I can start doing the trial and error method, but if I can get some confirmation that I won't brick my phone that would be awesome. Also, if there is any general "method to the madness" in terms of trying the Radios out, I would appreciate it.
This is where you should start:
Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom
The most important consideration for flashing any phone: MAKE SURE YOU HARD SPL (if you are using a Tilt, I recommend 3.56 as that is what AT&T officially used in their last ROM). That way, if you screw up a flash, you can just flash to another radio/ROM without worrying about bricking your phone. Press the Camera+Power button+use your stylus to reset the phone to bootloader to see if your phone is already Hard SPL'd. You should see a 3.28, 3.29, 3.34, or 3.56 at the top left of the screen when the tricolor screen pops up; you can just reset your phone after looking to get back to your OS). If, and only if, your phone is Hard SPL'd, read on...
>Can I mix other Radios to better work on the Tmobile network?
Of course. For example, I am using the emobile radio (1.71.09.01) on my Tilt. See: The Ultimate Radio Thread for more.
>Do I need to clear my ROM from the official ATT to another HTC ROM?
No, you can flash the radio only if you want.
>Does the ROM clear the Windows build
Not if you're flashing just the radio.
>...and therefore the OS build is independant of the ROM and Radio?
The OS build is independent of the radio. Best to think of the ROM as the OS, and the radio as how your OS communicates with your phone...
>or can I trial and error it?
That's the whole point of flashing just the radio--finding which one works best for you.
Thank you for the information. I verified the Hard SPL (3.56) so it looks like I am good on that front.
I just want to verify something you said before I actually do this (since the RUU tutorial told me ROMs can brick my phone and you mentioned Radios are similar in that fashion). The radios listed from the Ultimate ROM/Radio Thread are listed by WMx.x version, not by the associated ROMs. Since I am using the officially released ROM from ATT my version of WM is 6.1, therefore any of the Radios under the 6.1 header are available for flashing to my phone.
Is that correct?
Thanks again and in advance.
Anyone know of a new link for the latest Hard SPL 3.56? I keep on trying to download on rapidshare and I am denied (cause I am a non-subscriber). If there is a mirror that anyone knows of I would appreciate it. I keep searching around and cannot find one.
