I guess you can use ftouchflo to gesture control just about anything. You just have to associate the gesture with the app you want to start.
i don't wanna start an app (thats easy enough) i wanna "press" a soft key!

no it would be used for menu's and the like, such as when in messaging a gesture would control the menu button.

My ideia involves mortscript and ftouchflo.
Just create a mortscript that presses the softkey and then associate it to a gesture in ftouchflo.
The mortscript command to invoke the softkey is something like: SendRightSoft.
You'll find plenty of info on there two softwares around the forum

theres a software called FtouchSL which allows soft keys to be 'pressed' using gestures, if any one is interested that is!
hi everyone.
i have installed route66 mobile7 on my vox and i start getting backlight problem on my vox. everytime after i open route66, my backlight wont turn off.
FYI i have done the registry editing by adding the 'Display = 30', and this doesnt help either. the only way to fix this is to reboot the phone everytime after using the application. is anyone using route66 and having the same problem and knows the fix?

There is a problem like this with core media player and there is a cab around somewhere to fix it. Maybe it will work for this problem too???
a very very easy solution:
install phonealarm, set profiles and backlights settings accordingly.
before using route66, change profile and revert back once done.
Easy, ins't it?
Note: Profile change in phonealarm occcurs with a single button press once only.

i think the cab that you mention is the one that change the registry like the one i did manually. thank you for your reply anyway

thank you hikey. for better functionality and speed, i've decided not to use the sliding panel and use the phonealarm instead. the sliding panel is beautiful, but unfortunately it slows down the screen rotation and takes up quite a bit of ram memory. so bye bye to sliding panel and welcome phonealarm. here's my screenshot.

yes, you can use invisible theme of phonealarm and change profile using a small script and assigning a button via aebutton plus.
like me:
to change profile, i press enter twice, it prompts me a list of profiles to change and select scrolling up/down and enter, thats it. It takes 1/2 sec approx.

Is there some possibility to remap the booth upper keys over the phone keys (the context keys) on prophet ?
It is possible with AEButton plus aplication, but i`m searching for some easy and free solution. Dont want some big complicated app with lot of memory usage.
Some registry tweaks mabye ?
ROM cooking ? but HOW ?

AEBUTTON PLUS will do the job !!
This thread was posted for a free alternative to AEBplus. It says so in the title. Stating that AEBplus works is somewhat tactless.
Are there any alternatives?
To remap SoftKeys, exisiting freewares are :
- RemapSoftKeys
- And if you need a cascading menu, WM5NewMenu

In a previous incarnation of my HTC Kaiser (Tilt) I had remapped the PTT button to a task-switcher, much like you can do with the ALT-TAB on a Windows OS. This was REALLY handy...but now I can't remember how I did it. :-|. I have the PTT remapping software to make the button available, but I can't remember what app did that nice task switching when it's installed. Any suggestions? Thanks!
