touchflo softkey gesture

just wondering
is it possible to set a gesture to control a soft softkey (e.g left soft key) instead of an application?
i think this would be very useful
can anyone help!

I guess you can use ftouchflo to gesture control just about anything. You just have to associate the gesture with the app you want to start.

i don't wanna start an app (thats easy enough) i wanna "press" a soft key!

but when you press a softkey you'll be starting an app right? so what's the catch?

no it would be used for menu's and the like, such as when in messaging a gesture would control the menu button.

My ideia involves mortscript and ftouchflo.
Just create a mortscript that presses the softkey and then associate it to a gesture in ftouchflo.
The mortscript command to invoke the softkey is something like: SendRightSoft.
You'll find plenty of info on there two softwares around the forum

theres a software called FtouchSL which allows soft keys to be 'pressed' using gestures, if any one is interested that is!

I havent, because I hoped it could be changed in the reg db.

Shortcuts on Keyboard (like PQZ)?

Is it possible to assign shortcuts to the keyboards e.g. to start programs? On my Universal I'm using the program PQZ to realize that. Does it work on the Rapahael too?

It already has shortcuts like sms/email/comm manager/internet etc... and when in email or text you have foward/reply etc shortcuts.

What I mean is to define shortcuts of your own (e.g. a combination of keys like Ctrl+e to launch excel). That's (and other things) is possible with PQZ.

I too am in the same situation! I'm still waiting for the raphael to launch here locally.
I used PQz extensively on my universal and am really waiting to hear if it works good on the raphael too...

I have just tried installin the WM6 version and it crashed and reset itself. Looks like you might have to wait for an updated version guys

PQzII also crashes on mine. However AEKMap works fine to set up CTRL+something for launching (http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php). The configuration is a bit complicated, you need to set up a keyboard map file and for instance add
Exec 0002 "\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe"
Key 0233 e0002 ; Execute PocketInformant by pressing Ctrl+3
All the keycodes follow a simple scheme, i.e.
A=0041
CTRL+A=0241
B=0042
CTRL+B=0242
and so on... with a few exceptions for letters J-O which are
004A-004F
before continuing with P=0050
What I haven't found out yet though is how to start links (not .exe) or pass command line options: for instance the link
69#"\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe" tasks -new
should start PocketInformant with the new task dialogue (would love to have that on CTRL+T). Simply putting
Exec 0002 "\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe tasks -new"
does NOT do the job for me.

I installed the Kaiser version (0.0.8e) and so far it appears to be running fine. Can't seem to get it to point to any location besides the storage card, however.

Hi Tom,
great program! Firstly, which version should we use? I followed fhsieh and installed the Kaiser version... It works mostly fine. However it crashes when I try to activate the PQzII task through the Touch Flow 3D task manager. The volume keys don't work like before: if you push them once, the volume dialogue pops up, but then you can't use them to change the volume (once you push them again the dialogue disappears)...

Is there any way to specify a transparency color for the icon bitmap file? The icon overlay shows up on top of most windows. I would like the icon to be transparent unless PQzII is either in CTRL or ALT mode.
Also, have you been able to map the CTRL or ALT modes to the TXT or envelope keys without Pocket Outlook launching. Mapping the SYM key (0xE6) appears to trigger the CTRL or ALT modes without launching the built-in symbol application.

[App] QuickMenu for HD2 (WWE and NOR)

I had problems finding a working version of QuickMenu for HD2, so I modified my own .cab a bit. I hope this will help others as well. Im attaching a version for norwegian ROM and also for the WWE.
If anyone want to use it on other languages, the only modification after installation is to change 0409 to your own local code in the files:
Program Files\Qmenu\QMenuCfg.dll.0409.mui
Program Files\Qmenu\QuickMenu.exe.0409.mui
and then in the settings of QuickMenu change the path for your local start menu.

so do we lost the original wm6.5 start menu?

no, the original start menu is stil present if you click on the text "start" instead of the actual start menu icon. you can also choose yourself in the settings whether the start menu hardware key will open Quick Menu, or windows' original start menu =)

'Options' rather than 'Option'.

Thanks, works very well in conjuction with WM 6.5.x (except the interception of the close button)
Very finger friendly when you set the "Menu item edge" to 15 or more.

i dont know about this, but why would you need it when this menu got its own task manager, both a list of open programs and a link to "task manager" ? =)

hi guys, I've seen several threads on QM for HD2. I've been using a version which I picked up somewhere, and has worked flawlessly for all HD2 ROMs I've tried so far.
I also commented in this thread.

for me the original had size and placement issues. this is the only version i found out to work on my HD2 after a few small tweaks of the cab

I just try it on my Hd2 with Greek language. Is working ok but I see no letters
at all. How can I see the letters? how can I do that with the language?
Can you give me some details how to do it since I'm new om WM devices?
