Mine arrived this morning frmo Expansys...
Got to say - it is thinner than I thought. Another nice surprise is that it has an almost rubbery feel to it making the phone a lot more tactile to hold.
Some pics...

Thanks for sharing the nice photos. The extended battery looks not so thick but with 50% more battery. I wonder would cases maker provide case for Diamond with extended battery?
so thats the real deal from htc...not a copy
that looks beter than i thought
may treat myself to one of those next week
hummmm have to tried to take a photo with the new back on???
if so is there still the same issue with misty photos ?
Hi - yip - it is the official real deal one - not a copy. Straight from HTC (via Expansys).
The photo is the same as with the original case - there is still a piece of clear plastic in the case back. So, unless you remove this it will be the same.

Nice
Hope they will arrive Singapore soon. That's wonderful
would you mind posting the url - went to the site can not find the extra battery section - how much was it?
How is the GPS with the official battery, is it working ok?
GPS is just fine with official extended battery

Thanks for the pic!
From the pics, it looks like the back is not only matt, but also flat (no triangular gradients). Pls confirm this is true!
Yea.. also waiting for this to be out in SG.. if not perhaps in Malaysia, as i'm going over soon
for aussie users check this

Hi,
GPS appears unaffected - I used mine with TrackMe all day yesterday no problem.
The back is not flat - it still has the faceted diamond triangles. But, due to the mat rubberised finish it looks less angular.

To anyone who has the new back battery cover quick question before I buy.
Does the diamond still 'wobble' when placed on a flat surface? or are the facets level?
Thanks for any replies.

Yes, that's pretty much the same, I think.
has anyone found an extended battery in style with the MDA IV ?
I really like the "flat" backside of the MDA version and would hate to go back to the diamond shape.
Brodit active car holder
Hello,
Does anyone already have experience with this extended battery in combination with the Brodit Active carholder for the Diamond?
Before I decide to buy, I would like to make sure it will still fit in the holder.
Thanks.

Do you have a Compact IV already? If so, then the extended battery for the Compact IV (with the flat back) is due for release soon. Check the Expansys web site for details. This won't fit the Diamond though.

Would very very much doubt it. Brodit holders are made to quite exacting standards based on the size of the device being held. As the extended battery does alter this size, then I can't see it fitting.
I Know a bunch of people have brought these, or are thinking of buying them, so heres a video review to show you the quality and fit etc. !
Hope it helps you decide whether its worth getting one!

Great review stickyasglue.
Recently purchased the red, blue, & white covers. At this price you are not going to get the same quality control as you would with an original, but great if you want to preserve your original for re-sale.

I got it on Amazon belive it or not, it was a third party seller, and they only had one listed in stock,so I snatched it up, was the regular retail price of $150.
Here is the link, but its out of stock now.

For anyone who does not mind full retail price ($149), you can purchase it direct from Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/BKC-1C9USBGSTA
I am holding out for it to show up at more vendors. I suspect it will cost between $99 and $129 very quickly.
About the Samsung Keyboard (gorgeous, btw). Can you type on it and touch/pinch on the screen while it's upright? I mean, would it easily fall back? The rear support looks slippery/flimsy.

That's my only real concern also. The keyboard and case itself looks MUCH nicer than anything else on the market. I don't like cases that cover the sides of the screen (which the Samsung doesn't), and the keyboard looks larger and slimmer than any of the competitor's offerings.
Exactly and the YouTube video is crap, the thing lays flat nearly all the time...not helpful.

I have found it to actually be really quite sturdy, even on very slippery desk surfaces.
The stand itself is a quite ridged, yet has some flexability in that it wont snap under pressure.
The part of it that makes contatact with the desk or whatever is coated in a very grippy rubberized material that grips anything really sturdily.
It does not slipthats for sure.
So yea you can absolutely pinch and zoom while in laptop style angles on a desk, or leather couch.
The whole case is really thin and nicely designed, I also have the Vipertek slim leather case, and this is only very slightly thicker.
It does add quite a bit of weight to it, but its not to bad, and feels very solid.
The keyboard works pretty well, there is some quirks that I assume are related to androids implimentation of BT keyoards and hope to see addresed in ICS, but all in all I find it works pretty well.
When I bought it I was only really planning on using it when I knew I would need it for some reason, and still primarily have my tab in the Vipertek most of the time, but since I put my tab in, it has stayed in, and I don't think I will go back to my old case.
Can you flip the keyboard behind the screen and just use the screen say on your lap?

Nope, unfortunatly you cannot.
It almost goes all the way around but not quite.
That is probably one of the main drawbacks, but I have found it to be less of an issue then I thought it would be.
Thanks for the response. I use it in portrait mode a lot and don't always need the keyboard. I would definitely get this if it wasn't so expensive!

A lot of customers are not satisfied with it. Mobile falls. It doesn't work very well. :crying:
There is a ton of generic ones on ebay that have spring clamps to hold it in tightly and adjust to any phone, gps, etc. I've got like 5 of them from buying "bundle packs" for my various phones over the years.
I've looked them but I'm looking for one who doesn't exceed of the screen.
The problem of the GripNgo is the lost of grip.
The design is nice for me.

My screen measurements including the bezel (or the part where you would put a screen protector or tempered glass over) is almost exactly:
150.5mm Tall
74.8mm Wide
Rounded edges on all 4 corners of the screen with radius 1.5mm.
Hope this helps.

I rooted mine using Kingo (nothing wrong until this point), but then I removed some system apps (Gallery/Browser/etc, since I had alternatives to them), and on the next restart, System UI crashed. Factory reset did not solve the problem, hence my need for the ROM. I've checked NeedRom, already, but thank you, anyway.

Aren't they the type where the phone is held by adhesive? Are they any good -can phone be removed and replaced, does adhesive mark the phone? I've gone with the flipcover, not too keen on the window ( no protection ), but as the m52 looks pretty bulky already, it looks about as slim as it's going to get. One of the aliexpress sellers (not sunsky )has the flipcover , and their product code is DG2014, so you might be able to check cases for that, though it doesn't make complete sense as DG2014 isn't as thick as m52
